I used Alaskan Home Services to install a new air conditioning unit in my home. The installers who came were fine, they carried out the job well and did so in an efficient manner. Their prices however are always expensive, too expensive really. I am happy though, the unit is working smoothly. more

Nice and reliable technicians. 7/12/2016

Alaskan Home Services comes twice a year to service my Heating and air conditioner, once in the winter and once in the summer and they do satisfactory work. I would recommend them because they're always friendly, prompt, and professional. A few years ago we had an issue and it took them two weeks to fix the problem so we weren't very happy about that, but they've been better lately and everything has been good. more

They fixed everything they needed to fix and they fixed it well! 7/7/2016

We called Alaskan Home Services to repair our furnace and ac unit and the service was good. They came out promptly and fixed the issue and they told us if we ever need any help to call them again. We called them a few months later to have our furnace cleaned and they let us know that our technician quit. The next available tech lived 70 miles away and it was hard to get a hold of them, but once we did, they came out the next day. Alaskan Home Services is good, solid company and I would recommend them if you need to use them. more

Worst experience of my life. My house filled with Gas for 10 days, before my cleaning ladies walked in to my home and said don't you smell Gas.??? I for some reason couldn't smell it. 7/7/2016

The Installation took 10 hours. Dinged up my new Classy Closet, and my hallway wall, which they didn't even mention. The topper is it was installed leaking Gas throughout my home for 10 days, until it was discovered by my cleaning ladies. If I had lit a match, my home would have probably exploded. Owner offered me a lousy $500.00 Gift Certificate to Home Depot. Some extended service. I felt I should have been reimbursed for the nightmare I went thru with this horrible company. I will tell everyone I meet, what they did to me. It is supposed to be really quiet, as it's outside my Bedroom, and its louder than the 18 year old one I replaced. Totally unsatisfied with this company. more

Professional, efficient, and prompt 6/22/2016

I had Alaskan Home Service install my AC unit and the technician who installed it was very knowledgeable. I have a contract with them and they come out once a year to check on my AC and I've found the techs who check the AC to be not as knowledgeable as the people who fix my unit, but they're always professional and friendly and I'm satisfied with their service. more

Never again 6/11/2016

My second truly negative experience with Alaskan. I swore I would never call again but I had a rental house with a pregnant woman living there and the a/c compressor valve was failing. I scheduled an appt. Between 3 and 6 and at 7 nobody had shown up. I called, left a msg and finally someone called back but seemed unclear as to who I was or why I called. A whole day wasted because of them. Fool me twice I guess. more

Alaskan Home Services maintains our HVAC unit and we're really satisfied with their great customer service. We have a contract with them so they come right before the winter and summer months and keep our system running smoothly. The technicians are really friendly and knowledgeable and we trust them in our home! more

Great workers, great work. 6/8/2016

Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating does a fantastic job on maintaining both our heating and cooling units in our home. They are very easy to schedule with and they show up when they are supposed to. If they can't they call in advance. I would definitely recommend them to other people looking for a solid AC and hating service. Great workers. more

Great staff and technician. 6/6/2016

I have had trouble with scheduling with Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating but that is really the only issue I have with them at all. They generally have a hard time getting out in 24 hours. I have been with them for about 8 to10 years and the office staff has been great, I have a specific technician I always request, which is Kevin. He has been great and should get all kinds of gold stars, he takes good care of me. more

The technician at Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating was primarily very professional and extremely knowledgeable at his job. I just had them come out to do general servicing on my air and heating units and they were great. They showed up on time and the technician was very courteous and informative. I would definitely recommend them. more

Great servicing and customer service. 6/2/2016

Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating have been nothing but great for us. They mainly just come out and service our air units and they always show when they are supposed to and are very quick about the servicing and let us know if they find anything. I also believe we got our air unit from them awhile back, but I can't completely remember. Either way I would not look for anyone else moving forward. more

Alaskan Home Services has been providing us with excellent service regarding our air conditioner. They installed our AC unit and for the past 8 years they've done routine maintenance every year before the summertime and I've been very satisfied. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone because they do great work! more

Good service, pretty happy. 5/20/2016

Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating came out to see what was going on with my furnace and AC units. The first guy who came out told me I needed a new thermostat so I went and bought a new one for about 80 dollars. It turned out not to be the problem so I had to have them come out again. The second guy who came out was able to figure out what the issue was and I haven't had any problems since. I would use them again despite the mix up. more

Solid AC and heating service. 5/18/2016

It was the standard annual air conditioning check up and maintenance. Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating did a good job with everything, they did everything they were supposed to do and were very polite and courteous while they were here. The only thing was they did show up late, but it was no big deal at all. I would definitely use them again. more

Great work, no complaints. 5/16/2016

Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating originally installed the AC unit on my house when I first moved in. Several years later that AC was damaged in a hail storm so I had them come back out to replace the broken unit. Everything went off just fine, however I was just on the roof and I noticed that the joints on the conduit of the unit they installed came undone, so I will be calling again today. But I would recommend them to anyone and continue to use the service. more

Great experience, easy to work with. 5/5/2016

Well Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating has checked our heat pump for cooling and heating for us, which is pretty much brand new. They checked it out last fall and this spring. They have been very nice and show up on time. I would recommend them to other people. Very happy with the service they have provided so far. more

They seem to be improving their quality 5/2/2016

I have been using Alaskan Home Services for four years, and the guy that came last time was great--pretty good. He was great, honest and very knowledgeable. I think his name is Jason, and he did a very thorough inspection check and found a couple things wrong that he fixed. Everything turned out good and I'm very happy with his service. They do semiyearly maintenance on two of my AC units. But Alaskan Home Services can improve by using more people of Jason's caliber. There were issues the time before Jason came out. From other people, I noticed a disagreement about whether I needed more Freeon. One said yes and one said no--two very different opinions from two people who work at the same company. They try to sell you extra stuff as a customer. I already paid for a 10-year maintenance contract and then they want to charge more. Please, don't try to sell what isn't needed. more

Great maintenance and check up. 4/29/2016

Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating came out for just a check up on the our heating and cooling units so it was a pretty simple job, but they were thorough in checking everything like the Freon to make sure everything was running smoothly and everything checked out just fine. The guy who was supposed to come couldn't make it so they sent out someone else a little later then we expected but it was fine. I would recommend them. more

Extremely nice and thorough. 4/28/2016

We put the order in the order that morning with Alaskan Home Services and they got back to us right away. They came out that same day and the gentleman that came out had already been here before and he was extremely nice and thorough. He took care of the problem and that was it. I will probably call them back, they came recommend by another company and they were right to tell us to contact them. more
