Alaskan Home Services is a fantastic company! We have worked with them for over 6 years now and they have done a variety of jobs for us at our home. They have installed a water heater, furnace, AC Unit and a whole home air purifier. The crew that comes out are very friendly, informative and professional. We like how they show us what they are doing throughout the process. Another plus is the fact that they work with Home Depot which really helped with credibility and our expectations. more

Our experience with Alaskan Air Conditioning and heating was just alright, mainly because we had a couple of complications with our installation. They had come in to replace our AC unit, but miscalculated the amount of air that would pass through, so they had to come back to do some more work on it. So they addressed the issue, but had to make a few more holes in the wall to do it. They got it done in the end, but it was not done exactly the way that I wanted since we had to make compromises. Their customer service is pretty good, however. They come out biannually, and stuff like scheduling is usually pretty easy. It was just unfortunate that they did the miscalculation. more

Alaskan Home Services does a routine check of our system. They come twice a year to check the inside, check the filters, etc. We've been using their service for quite a while, maybe 8 years, and we've always been satisfied. The prices are great and they are very polite and very helpful, so I like that. more

Alaskan Home Services was the company that originally installed my A/C unit and now we have been using them for about 4 years! They are so personable, helpful, and overall very pleasant to work with. Alaskan Home Services is wonderful to work with. They always come quickly, and they're very friendly when they're here. We have animals and they're very respectful of our animals. They try to befriend them and give them the space they need and all that. The workers are very helpful. They tell us what they're doing and what needs to be done. They make recommendations about what needs to be done. They just give us the info we need and let us know what's going on. We've been working with them maybe as long as 10 years. We keep going back because the maintenance contract is reasonable priced and it's a good service. more

Alaskan Home Services installed a new AC for me about 4 years ago and I have been a customer with them for about 7 years. I'm older now and it's just me here so I really depend on them for service. I just love the company and signed up for the maintenance contract they offer. The pricing is a teeny bit high for my budget but, I'd rather live without something else than risk a chance with my AC. It's vital in Arizona and they always taken great care of me. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else and absolutely recommend them. I have always been very pleased. more

I was not entirely pleased with Alaskan Home Services. My unit was not installed correctly originally and it took 18 months until it was finally fixed, and it just was wrong. I've tried to think of how to put this... There was a condensation problem and I had to research it myself and I had to keep calling back to tell them about it. They were always willing to send someone out to look at it but it took several levels of technicians until they finally sent somebody who actually installs these things and they agreed with me and found the problem. It was installed wrong to begin with. They said they fixed it but it still was a problem the following winter. They always responded and they always talked to me but never took care of the actual problem except eventually through my insistence. more

Kyle was my comfort consultant today to perform a tune up on my AC unit. Kyle was pleasant, knowledgeable and understanding of our needs. It's my thoughts now to use Alaskan for my service on my unit as the need comes up. Thank You kyle. more

I had a very good experience with Alaskan. They came out and went through all of the different sizes of air conditioners that would be good for our needs. They set up an appointment to make sure it'd be able to be installed where the old one was, then an appointment to do the install. For both appointments, they were right on time. It's really awesome that they paired up with Home Depot so that we can do two years with no interest. more

I went to a hardware store and contracted Alaskan Home Services through them. I thought that it was a great deal. They said they would come by to take care of the old unit and swamp cooler and give me a brand new unit for only $13,000--a super deal. The guy said that he would be over to my house between 8-9 AM on Monday. Understand, we just bought a house, have no furniture there and we don't live there. The guy didn't show up until 1pm in the afternoon.. The guys asked where the old unit was and I told them it was in the attic. They asked how to access the attic and they had to rip out the old staircase in the garage because they said it wouldn't fit. They stayed later in the afternoon banging away in the attic until they finally ripped out the old unit. At 9pm they were still working on it. When the guys finally left, we couldn't go back to our old house because it was an hour's drive away. We decided to spend the night in our house. The next day, there was a flood in the living room. I got a feeling that there was sheet rock up in the attic that was wet and dripping down. Finally, the guys showed up and said that the pan up there didn't take care of the condensation. They didn't give me a new pan, they just left the old, rusty one in the attic and said that they would take care of it. It cost $800 to fix the ceiling. I complained and the company said that they would take care of it. It took several months until I got it working. Six months later, I got a bill for $1,500 interest payment, even though Alaskan had told me that I had 24 months to pay the bill. Then they said that I had an $1,000 rebate, but I couldn't get it. Fortunately, the new manager straightened it out. It took 6-8 months until the unit got in great shape after the two new guys came in and fixed it and put in a new pan. The new manager made it right. I have two units in my house because it's a big house and the manager said that he could take care of it. I declined. I think Alaskan Home Services was fine. My husband is the one that deals with them directly and he isn't home right now but they did a good job, I think they are the company that fixed our air conditioning unit and it looks like it's still working, so I would recommend them. I don't have anything bad to say, they were good. more

The services I received from Alaskan Home Services went very well. They installed my air conditioning unit about 6 years ago, and though I thought the fan in the air conditioning unit would last longer, after it had broken Alaskan Home Services came out very quickly and replaced the fan for me. The pricing was pretty good for the services I received and I found the workers from Alaskan Home Services were very professional and courteous while they were here working. I would gladly use Alaskan Home Services again if something happens to my air conditioner again, and would highly recommend them to others in need of similar services. more

Yesterday my AC stopped cooling. I live in Phoenix and in August its hot and yesterday was 110! I have a service contract with Alaskan Air so I immediately called and spoke to Denise. She was friendly, sympathetic, understanding and she promised a tech would arrive right after his current call within 2 hours. I explained I had a nine month pregnant woman living in my home who needed AC! Within 90 minutes Allen called he was on his way over. My home had now reached 90°. This very sweet polite young man showed up and within a couple of hours Allen had the AC working! I cannot thank Denise and Allen enough for their fast, courteous service.
