Air Around The Clock

On April 14 I paid air around the clock $485 for a three-year maintenance plan this evening The AC breaks down so I called Air around the clock they said it's after hours it'll be $150 charge to come out I agreed. A technician comes out he tells me he has to replace the dryers on the AC unit outside unit. The technician recharge the system stating that that should keep me cool until the following day when they would return and complete the repair on the AC unit. He stated the additional repair would be another $425 I said OK. He then asked me for $575. I told him the company said it was $150 for the work performed this evening I said I would pay him the additional money when the work was performed the next day he said he needed payment in full I said I'm not paying for something you have not done. Nor would anybody pay for work that has not been performed it's just common sense not to mention there's nothing in their contract that states that I have to pay for the work that has not been performed. He then stated if I did not pay him he was going to let the refrigerant back out of the system stating that it is company policy as I stated before there's nothing in the contract that states any such thing. Well he did just that he went back outside and let all the Refrigerant out of the system. On August 14 they came out and did routine maintenance on the AC system stating everything was fine with the unit. My argument here is they wanted me to pay for work that had not been performed I don't know of any company that conducts business in that fashion. I had installed a new $3,850 central ac in my 980sq ft home in May 2014. In August 2015 my newly installed AC no longer works. I called Air Around the Clock, assuming they would at the very least ""trouble shoot"" over the phone, but no... they want me to pay a $90 service fee just to come out to tell me whats wrong. Then if repairs are needed on my brand new unit, additional service fee's for the repair man. I had replaced a central ac that i had for 20 years, not because it stopped working, but to get a more energy efficient unit. She said ""it's over a year sir, do you expect us to come out for free?"" She asked that question as if I had the unit for 10 years... seriously, she asked me with that tone in her voice. \r \r STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! more

worst company in south florida yet\r they are rude, disrespectful. even their supervisor brian (no last name as he refuses to give it to me) was rude and disrespectful. all i ask is they actually do the work i paid them to do. \r \r i thought possibly speaking with a supervisor would be a good experience in customer service, wrong again! \r \r as for their work, what work... they were at the house for a few minutes, told me what they thought was wrong. which did not fix the issue and when i call them back the same day to let them know that was not the issue they state they will be charging me again for anything they do. when i asked why i was charged in the first place since they did not fix anything and what he thought was obviously incorrect the supervisor told me i did not know what i was talking about and the first charge was fair and a second visit the same day would be a new charge even though the issue was not fixed\r \r hire them if you want a terrible company that will talk to you with disrespect and try to screw you over\r \r ADDENDUM - the following day they sent out their senior technition Mark who actually too, apart the unit and found the problem. however when he called to get pricing from Brian the supervisor from yesterday he was told ""just write down you found nothing wrong to cover ourselves"" told him to not fix anything. I have cameras on the home that recorded all of this! He actually told me well there are some supervisors that earn it and some that marry the owners daughter. He actually refused to fix what he found wrong because the supervisor told him to just leave, and of course they kept my money!!!! more

They misrepresented service contract. We hired them to repair a refrigerator that they could not get running correctly. Several attempts, additional labor cost, rude employees. My mother is suffering from cancer and we are caring for her. We have been without a refrigerator for months and they still can’t fix it. Now they tell us that the recent part ordered will not arrive until another three weeks. more

BUYER BEWARE !!!! I hired them to fix my refrigerator. Six months later and three separate repairs and over $1500 down the drain they could not fix it. They are unprofessional, rude, and incompetent more

Upon completion of the job, well within the projected time frame, Karon and Emil removed all the old parts and trash, and cleaned with a broom and dustpan. We completed all the required paperwork, and I was shown how to correctly use the thermostat and maintain the air handler. Mr. Pereira, I do hope you keep all these gentlemen in mind when it comes time for bonuses, raises or promotions; you are truly fortunate to have Matt, Frank, Emil, Karon, Jim and Todd in your employ. Additionally, my neighbors were amazed with the entire process, and asked for your number, which I gladly provided. I work with the condo board here, and we had a meeting that evening which I made with time to spare. The problem came when a few of the members wanted to go out for a bite to eat afterwards, and they had trouble getting me to leave the house. I was way to comfortable. The cubes in my iced tea were not melting. I was signing things like 'ice, ice, baby' to myself. And I did something else that I never really do, which is sleep with the A/C on. The entire night, every time it came on, I caught myself smiling. Kudos all around, and many thanks. more

I have been a customer of Air Around the Clock for 8 years. I need a new air conditioner installed immediately as mine flooded out my house! I called Air Around the Clock and had a technician at my home within the hour. The quickly sized up the problem and got my A/C unit to stop leaking for the night and was told that the installation of the new unit would be the next morning. I received a call from the installer that he would be at my house by 9:30 and he was indeed there at that time. They replaced my system and by 3:00 I had nice cold air flowing from my A/C vents. What a pleasant experience this was!-Thank you ATC for making a difficult job very easy for me! more

I don't get it. I signed up for a maintenance plan and got some routine service done yesterday. 18 hours later, my indoor unit mysteriously falls from the wall and ceiling it was mounted to and you charge me $500 to fix it? Didn't you break it in the 1st place - now I'm being charged to fix what you broke? I'm an extremely unsatisfied customer. I called you guys because I wanted someone that was reliable, that I could trust with my business going forward and not have to worry about it. Just write the checks and trust that all is well. Doesn't look like you're that business and it's a shame. _________ UPDATE: They called me and explained what happened. When the unit was installed it was done so incorrectly. I'm not holding AATC responsible for this. They explained to me that it *actually* wasn't their fault, and are giving me 1/2 off their regular rate for fixing it. A frustrating situation, but they're resolving it for me. Will report back if anything changes, but they've made me feel a lot better. Upping to 3 stars from 1. more

I had the great opportunity to have Tony Rosenberl and Charlie working together to install a new Rheem unit which replaced a 17 year old Rheem unit. I don't have enough words to express my satisfaction with the respect and good work performed by these two excellent employees. Tony called to indicate the approximate time of arrival and he was very punctual. He gave me an estimate of the time to get the job done and it was very accurate. Observing their workmanship and dedication to gets things done right was an inspiration. I would like to tell you about my positive experience with Air Around the Clock. In an age where customer service seems to be an after thought, your companies' service was excellent. I received three quotes from A/C companies. AATC gave me the best price by far to replace my aged rooftop unit. I originally made an appointment with Doug for August 15th for the installation. After the first weekend of August, I realized my tired old A/C was not going to make it until the Aug 15th date. I called Doug on Monday the 6th hoping to move the date up. Doug said how about tomorrow the 7th! WOW, I could not believe in your busy season you could do this big job with just 1 day's notice. Eddie and Todd did a great job installing the unit and had the house cooled down very quickly. There was some sheet metal that needed to be finished at another day and that was completed in a timely matter. I had my old A/C serviced by Lindstrom AC and have 1 more service on my yearly contract. Because of your price, and employees like Doug, Eddie, and Todd I will switching to Air Around the Clock for all my A/C and appliance repair needs. more

Will, who came to my home and spoke to me about getting new AC's and gave me prices was very professional. He answered all of my questions, was very polite, and represented your company in a positive way. The men who installed my units, mainly Corey and Lil Chris were both very hard workers and also performed their job in a very professional manner. They stayed until all of my questions were answered and left my home clean and free of debris. This was my first experience with your company and it will not be my last. I was reluctant at first when reading some of the reviews, but the A+ rating by the BBB, convinced me to call. Jack arrived puntually. He not only advised me of a few things that we could do to optimize our energy use and system maintenance, but also found that the heat would not work on ""auto"". It seems that the unit had been installed by someone else without a jumper wire in the thermostat, so it only worked on ""On"". He fixed that, took care of some mold, and cleaned the coil at what I felt was a reasonable price. He was also very personable. Won't hesitate to recommend them to friends. more
