We contacted Above & Beyond when our garage door decided one day that it no longer wanted to close. This was during the polar vortex, and our garage is attached to the house - making it quite an issue for us. My girlfriend called up & was able to get help from Dave on troubleshooting the issue, as well as getting it temporarily closed. He ruled out any simple causes for the malfunction, and walked her through closing it until the next day when he came out. He was on time, professional and patient the next evening. He gave us really good tips on maintaining the equipment and really checked it over instead of just fixing the obvious. And not only did he fix the issue at hand (new sensors), he did it quickly and for an awesome price. He also lubricated everything on both doors and gave us a lot of good info on caring for them in the future. Bottom line, this guy was top-notch, and we will never call anyone else in the future. We were more than impressed with what a knowledgable person we were dealing with and would highly recommend to anyone. Already have in fact! more

They did an excellent job. 3/3/2014

The service was prompt and the service man actually suggested only fixing what needed to be fixed. He could have easily told me we needed to replace the whole unit for over $500. After all my opener is over 17 years old. That wouldn't have been a stretch. But he said it was in good shape and would probably last at least a few more years. Just repaired what was needed and it works great! Thank you! more

Extremely satisfied customer! 2/28/2014

We had called another garage door company on Sat (2/22/14) when the spring broke and after one VM and three phone conversations by Wed (2/26/14) it was apparent that there was no urgency to fix our busted spring. We called Above & Beyond around 1:15pm on Wed and Dave was at our house before 3:00pm.... THE SAME DAY!!! He was extremely personable and very professional and overall the customer service was fantastic! We will call Above & Beyond for future repairs and recommend their business! more

Happy to get the car out of the garage! 2/26/2014

I called Above & Beyond Door Systems when our garage door would only raise a little bit. We couldn't get our cars out of the garage, so I called in the morning. I first called the company we used a couple years ago, but he was out of business. He gave us the name of Above & Beyond. I called them, and I was pleasantly surprised that they came out the same day. They took care of the door in about 20 minutes, and everything is working great now! more

My garage door needed a spring replaced. 1/5/2014

I was happy with the next day service. The repairman was on time, friendly and informative. He didn't have the part on his truck so he had to return to the shop to pick it up. He returned in a timely manner and made the repairs. This is the third repair with this serviceman. He is always friendly and efficient. I appreciate having the same repairman each time. more

I called Above & Beyond Door Systems because I needed a universal remote for my garage. They were very prompt when it came to setting up the appointment. He came on time, provided quick service, and was polite while he was here. The remote works fine. more

Excellent service 12/19/2013

I had backed into my garage door. It was stopped 1/2 way down. They came within a couple hours. Luckily a new door wasn't needed. He serviced door, track, hinges, & opener before leaving. He was very courteous ! more

I will never think of any other place to call for my garage door needs. Bill, the service man, was very professional and friendly. My Geni motor failed, but I had a warranty on my motor, and because I kept my reciept Bill was able to install a replacement without any hassles! Dave, the owner, stands by his products. I don't know what more you can ask for from a company. You will NOT regret calling them! more

You won't find better service ANYWHERE. Owner was knowledgable, efficient, and prompt. Didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, gave me the option of a re-build or a new opener. Very personable. I will use Above & Beyond whenever I need help with a garage door. more

The hazard of a door opener? When the spring breaks the door can be too heavy to lift. So glad to have the great service of Above and Beyond Door Systems. Prompt. Courteous. Leaves the area clean. Reasonable. They get right to the job when they come. They are my first choice. more

Received service within 24 hours. Problem was resolved with no charge! We recently purchase 2 additional cars so it was nice to get two additional remotes on the spot! Thank you. I wouldn't think of using another company. I have used Above and Beyond Door since I moved to Wadsworth in 2003. more

Quick and very informative! 10/2/2013

My remote scattered into a bunch of pieces this morning when I dropped it in the driveway. It was the last one I had, as we have an old system. Above & Beyond Door Systems is a local business that also happens to service this kind of system, so I asked if they could come and take a look at it. They came right away! I called around 10:00, and they got here before 12:00. The man explained to me that the remote I have is no longer in production. He said he would go to the manufacturer directly and see if he could get it replaced. I asked how much for a new type of remote, instead, and he explained that cost. I also asked about an outside keypad and its cost. After all of his explanations, I knew to go with a whole new opener! more

I am very pleased with the new Genie garage door opener system that was installed by Above & Beyond Door Systems. The system is very quiet and has several nice features not on my earlier system.... 9/5/2013

I requested an cost estimate to replace my garage door opener - while the old unit still opened the door there was evidence of 'heat damage' around the light socket and it only worked intermittently. The quoted cost was in-line with what I expected. Arrangements were made for the installer to come out the next day. Bill arrived at the agreed time and was very efficient in changing out the system. The system was checked from the indoor switch and the new outdoor remote. Later in the day (after the installer left) I re-programmed the Homelink in one of our cars and have difficulty getting in to connect. I called A&B Doors and they had the installer back out early the next morning to connect my car to the system. I am very pleased with the new Genie system. I am amazed at how quiet and smooth the new door opener system is. I also like the feature of being able to lock out the control (added security feature when at home) and the feature to turn on the light without opening the door. more

Excellent! 8/19/2013

Above & Beyond Door Systems were excellent. My daughter had hit the garage door after business hours, but they were able to come out right away and fix it. They had thought it was going to be a harder job than it was, so they were able to fix it very quickly. The gentleman that came out was really friendly. I had found them in the phone book and hadn't worked with them before. The person who answered the phone was extremely friendly, though, and they were all very nice people. They did quality work for a good price. more

Excellent service 7/8/2013

Well as it never fails a garage door spring can break at the worst time. Ours snapped Weds Night before the The Fourth of July Weekend. I called a few others and and And asked if this was an answering service and no it was not. The Polite and Helpful gal on the phone was very good. Gave me my options for service that evening or wait until Friday. I went with that evening as I really needed the door open for our weekend plans. Dave Kopp the Owner came out had the springs on board and installed them even upgrading me to the double spring so if one breaks I still have one to allow the door to open. Arriving after dark and I know I would have rather been home as he he had the door fixed ion no time. They are now my go to people for garage doors. Many thanks for the service. more

Very impressed and I would highly recommend! 7/3/2013

Our garage door failed on a Sunday night and since I was unable to open/close the garage door myself, we needed it fixed quickly! Monday morning, I called 4 different companies for quotes and when they would be able to replace the door. Above & Beyond was the only company who would give me a quote over the phone, including tax, and tell me he had it in stock along with door information that I could look up online and I was able to schedule installation for the following afternoon! The price i paid was slightly cheaper for a better door with a higher r-value than the other estimates I received. The technician arrived right on time and was very knowledgeable and thorough. He had the old door down and new one up in 1 hour! I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone who is looking for fast, great service with a reasonable price! more
