I was frustrated with my new oven because its not even a year old and already Im having issues with it. SO FRUSTRATING!@!!!! When I called they explained step by step what to expect under the warranty. I didn't feel rushed and they took their time explaining everything about how the warranty works with new applainces. At least they explained more than the place I bought it from, brand new piece of junk. Anyway thanks Able & Ready for your honesty. By the way I spoke to someone different all the time and I didn't have to keep explaining my story over and over again, they had it all the information in front of them every time I called, so that was a relief, not to keep repeating my story. Thanks for being on the ball. more

READ THIS, READ THIS\r I've worked with them for nearly 6 years now... Recently I had them work on my fridge and dishwasher without any hitch (as always). \r My experience has always been positive with the staff as well as the technicians. I am aware that several people use the web to write bad reviews when they simply don't get their way(no matter how unreasonable their request). I'm very familiar with this because I have my own company & have been subject to this... Good job Able and Ready, & get all your good customers to write how happy they are with your service, I'm sure they'll drown out all the negatives listed here:) more

I thought the technician was terrific and he was familiar with my appliance brand (fisher paykel). they came out the following day, called to confirm my appointment and then the tech called when he was about to arrive. I would recommend them. sorry to see they have so many poor reviews. more

DONT USE THEM! We bought a new refrigerator last year and had trouble with keeping the freezer cool. We called and they came out several times while under warranty. Each time, they blamed the issue on something else. Finally, almost at the end of the warranty, they replaced the fan. We had lost hundreds of dollars of food because of this. Shortly thereafter this past fall, again same problem. THey came twice, and told us it was the thermostat -- $200 + so we fixed it. That didn't work, and then they told us we kept the refrig in a too cool place. BY THE WAY HAD BEEN IN THE SAME PLACE ALL ALONG!!!!! We want our money back for the $200 -- ridiculous -- I am getting a lawyer -- I urge anyone who needs repair to find someone else. more

The company is unprofessional and rude. In fairness, I will say that the two service techs who came to my house were nice. Beyond that, they were not dressed in any service uniform (t-shirt with a sticker), they came a bit early and refused to wait 5 minutes for me to get back home (luckily for me, they came back when I called again from home and they were still nearby). BUT, the worst thing -- the two service technicians came to my house driving a ford mustang....needless to say, they don't carry ANY parts in the little trunk of the mustang, so don't expect to get ANYTHING fixed during the first visit. The office, in further discussions, were rude and obnoxious, hung up on me at least twice, and refused to let me speak with the owner and discuss the issue I was having. When a customer politely requests to speak with the Manager/Owner (Gary), who was there and available because they kept putting me on hold to check with him, it is just so discourteous and rude to refuse -- ""that's why he has an office staff, to speak with customers like you"" -- he simply refused to have a brief conversation with a CUSTOMER. I find this absurd! more

more than fair price 5/21/2012

I had 2 units serviced, my sub-zero fridge and sub-zero wine cooler, both fixed for under $200. Finally a company that didn't want to take me to the bank. Thanks Gary for your quick & efficient service. Yes i will be calling again. Don't believe everything you read; there's always two sides to a story. more

simple low cost fix 5/3/2012

I had no problem with company. I was able to get an evening call between 5 & 8 pm, which was terrific. the tech came out and cleared my drain pump for just over $100 bucks. washer has been working since, no problem. as per company's request i'm giving a positive review to offset all the bad ones here. hope this helps them out. yeah i would refer them and call them back for service without a problem. more

fast and polite service 4/9/2012

i was referred by my contract company to Able and Ready. I have had other companies come out before and was always very frustrated. Most often because there was never a live person to talk to. Able and Ready confirmed my appointment and showed up when they were supposed to. the service man came back the next day with the part and my washer was working normal again. Dio, the repairman, was very polite and professional, thanks for the service. more

DO NOT USE ABLE & READY APPLIANCE REPAIR!!! 12/6/2011

My experience is very similar to the other reviews. The positive review must be involved in the company. It has been well over 3 weeks since we first made an appointment to get out dishwasher fixed. After 2 canceled appointments, the tech finally arrived in a rush to get out and said he couldn't fix it. After he spoke with Whirlpool, he miraculously fixed it, but it only worked 3 times afterward. We then tried to reschedule and they made an appointment a week later. I spent my entire afternoon at home waiting for them and no one ever arrived. I also called the office numerous times and asked them to give me an update. When I called a little before 5, the office vmail was on & they closed at 4. No one ever showed, so I called first thing Monday to make sure we would be the first appt. of the day. Not only were we not the first appt. of the day, but we had to reschedule the appt. altogether & the first they had was 3 days later. I asked to speak with the supervisor and she wasn't in, but the phone operator said she would call me back ASAP. The supervisor never called me back and I called the office 4 times to try and reach her; she was never in the office... what a posh job she has! I finally got a call back 36 hours later from the supervisor, Susan, and she was incredibly unhelpful and said she was now booked all week. They are the most unprofessional company that puts their customers LAST... I can't imagine how they stay in business! If your appliance company recommends A & R to do your repairs,save yourself the heartache & run in the other direction! more

If it were possible to leave a negative star, I would certainly do it. This is the most UNRELIABLE and DISHONEST company I have ever come across. 4 times I have taken off work for the repairman to come and 4 times he did not show up. They do not return calls. USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK more

BEST COMPANY 9/28/2011

I had a really great experience with this company i called last week w/ my subzero fridge not cooling i needed an appt in the afternoon and the tech gary was able to accommodate me for putting me the last call and he was able to come check my unit, it needed a part and he already had it in stock with him in his truck and was able to get my unit working that same day, i definitly recommend this company they are fast and reliable, i will definitly be using this company again. more

Worst Company EVER 7/28/2011

I had the worst experience with Able & Ready Appliance Repair. They are rude, unprofessional and basically do not have a clue. Customer service is nonexistent if you can even get them to answer the phone in under 30 min. What a waste of my time. The initial visit they assessed the problem. I am convinced they never intended to fix the problem because they told me to call Whirlpool and demand 2 new units. Needless to say Whirlpool was not going to give me new units and they told me to have Able & Ready order the parts and repair the washers. Able and Ready refused to order the parts. When Whirlpool contacted them to see what was going on, they still refused. The customer service rep at Whirlpool apologized for them and told me that the protocol for ordering warranty parts is to be handled by the repair company, but she ordered them for me and told me she has never had this happen before. I was rescheduled a few times at the last minute before Able & Ready actually came out to do the repair. When the tech came out he was supposed to be here in the early am, but didn't arrive until noon. He took a look at the job ahead of him a said he would have to reschedule with not explanation to me. I was furious. The tech was rude and aggressive and scared me. This was the worst experience I have ever had with an in home repair. I am surprise Whirlpool hasn't pulled them from their list of companies to use based on all the negative feedback I have seen both on this site and others. more

Able is not so Able and Ready 7/19/2011

Wish I had read the reviews on this company before I picked them from the Kitchenaide repair list. First visit they looked. Second visit wrong part. Then nothing. Later found out they told Kitchenaide they had called me and told me to order the correct part - WRONG, NEVER HAPPENED. Luckily I was on phone with Kitchenaide when we found this out so they got the part to me Called Able made appointment for 10 days later Surprise, tech couldn't come. Made new appointment - surprise tech couldn't come. right now he is supposed to be here but not at the 8 to 12 as requested but later when they want to come. Let's see if it gets fixed or I have to wait again. Don't buy a Kitchenaide fridge either, by the wahy more

parts ""on order"" for 6 weeks 6/15/2011

They won't do anything except ""wait for the parts"". Until the death of the universe if need be. This is not service. more

Unreliable 6/13/2011

they do not arrive when they are supposed 1st appt was told that the window is from 8- 5 showed up somewhere in between . no paper work was left for parts that were going to be ordered. called after 2 weeks to see what was happening "" oh tried calling yesterday couldnt leave a message. set up appt # 2 for saturday was told that someone from the office will call saturday morning to confirm time @ 1pm called the office the office was closed tech called after 2pm said ""waiting for tow truck you will be my first stop monday. well @ 12 :30 called office asked to have owner call me @1:40 called again was told tech will be here between 3-5 & that owner was to busy to talk. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. it is now 2:26 & the owner or manager has not returned any calls more
