Awful, Dishonest, Unreliable 6/8/2011

This company can't be trusted. They lie about when their techs will show up, screw up repairs and wait months to fix their mistakes. They promise appointments, then call and say ""Oh, our tech decided to do other jobs first."" They say they have the parts for your repair - you wait a full day for the tech, and he doesn't show. (That's happened to me TWICE.) I would never buy another Kitchenaid appliance simply because Kitchenaid uses this company for repairs in our area. more

Able & Ready 4/21/2011

After reading all the reviews on this company I was a little skeptical of using them. I took a leap of faith and this company turned out to give excellent service. The technician Dave was fantastic. He knew exactly what was wrong with my fridge and right away he ordered the parts that were needed. He was back in a couple days with the parts that were needed and fixed my fridge with ease. Great technician, great company. more

Don't Use Able & Ready If You Have A Choice! 4/1/2011

Unfortunately, I was forced to use them because they're the only factory authorized repair in Westchester for Frigidaire. They misdiagnosed my a/c the 1st time out then wanted to charge me again for a service call. Gave me a hard time about fixing the compressor only after they came out when I involved Frigidaire. Called to verify appt the day of to replace compressor and was told that probably no one would be coming out and could not give a reason. Called Frigidaire again to intercede. Simply put, if you have a choice of repair people, don't choose them. more

NOT READY NOT ABLE 2/20/2011

This people are in business with out a consumer affair registration or anyTECHNICAL training, just Parts changers taking advantage of people nesecities. I'm an experience tech that anchored many operations and went out with the owner to replace an igniter and he did not know how to splice a wiring connection or what a puller was. with that said he wanted me to release information he is taying to get into HVAC with my credentials and he claims to be a christian yes RIGHT. Questionable individuals who loves MONEYS that you have. one star for trying 0 for integrity. NOT READY AND NOT ABLE. Hustlers not Techs. IS NOT WHAT YOU KNOW IS WHO YOU KNOW. more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! 2/16/2011

It should be 0 stars for this company for worse experience ever, but I had to rate at least the 1 in order to publish the review. They were contracted to fix my refrigerator which took almost two months for them to do because they sent a technician who knew nothing about the fridge (after receiving details on the product model and problem) and didn't contact me about getting the part in. AND the first technician damaged the interior of the refrigerator because he did not know what he was doing. The technician at least felt bad for his mistakes, but upon initially acknowledging the damages when he contacted his supervisor on the phone, the company later retracted the damages when I tried to follow up on it. Able & Ready blatantly lied and their attitude was ""Oh well, nothing we can do about it because the damage wasn't extensive""!!! Are you kidding me?!? How is it okay to be called in to fix something, break the plastic pieces lining the interior wall of the fridge and then say it doesn't matter because the fridge is still working? WTH?? Avoid using Able & Ready at all costs. There are plenty of other appliance repair shops out there that are more professional and understand what customer service is. more

No show 1/15/2011

They called to confirm yesterday and then just didn't show today. I waited for hours. Their office answering machine says ""call during regular business hours."" Unable and not ready from what I can tell!!! more

I have viking referagerator in my house and I did call viking company for authorize repair dealer in White plains area on Sept 2010. And what I got Able ready appliance phone number. I did call this company for repair service They have fix my referigerator and it only work for 60days and I have same problem again. so I did call Able & Ready, We have 90 days warrenty. They never give me date that when They will come and fix it again and Only says we have order parts for four weeks Finally they says we are no longer Viking dealer. So I called viking company They told me Able and ready is not our authorize dealer and you have to use our another dealer and you have to pay them again. Please care full with Able and ready appliance company they will not keep there warrenty promise and they did not know how to fix appliance. If you wants to donate your money use this company they take your money and did not fix your appliance. They did not owner there warrenty service. By Business Man more

worst experiance ever 11/28/2010

Well This is not the first time i had to use these people but when you have a problem and you have extended warranty you have almost no choice. they claim first or next day service but then they call u back an change it to four or five days later....OK so now i change my day off and sit in my house mfor there five hour window wating for them to come...sounds easy so far? About a half an hour before the window ending the tech calls me and tells me that he is running behind in his schedule and that i need to call the office an RE-SCHEDULE!! more

I have an extended warranty. I waited for another company, Appliance Medic to show up. I'm lucky they didn't because I dealt with them before under a different name. Unreliable, unprofessional. 7/6/2010

After 3 weeks and 3 canceled appointments on their part my microwave is still not fixed and I went with another provider. The first appt. was canceled at 6 am day-of because the tech ""hurt his hand""(?) the night before. 2nd appt. was canceled 1 1/2 hours into the service window day-of, after I had taken another day from work, because the dispatcher ""Carol"" scheduled me on a day when she knew the tech was not working. 3rd appt. was canceled after they were already 1 1/2 hours late for their 5 hour service window, because ""the truck broke down in an area where the tech did not have service"" so they couldn't call me all day to tell me they would not be coming... again. When I called to complain service manager ""Dave"" (a real jerk) was completely unhelpful and simply threatened to cancel my appointment! I was stunned. This place is the pits. Roll the dice on ANYONE else before you try them, but I also hear from people in my building that ""Metro Appliance Repair"" sucks too. You've been warned...and I feel better. Pros: None. Cons: 3 Cancelled appointments(!)/Threatened by service manager! more
