After the FIRST class I already saw a change in my dog. Shelter dog, no training, pretty nutso...probably the most stubborn, but very smart, of any dogs I've ever seen. I've done the big chain store pet classes, and not only do those dogs end up obese, but they don't listen to you without a treat in your hand. Steve trained me and my husband on how to train her, and gives you tips to work on at home. That was the strangest thing about it, I think - he told us how to do it and actively corrected us when we didn't do something right (or were inconsistent with the dog)...as opposed to just yessing us and telling us what we wanted to hear. It might be "old school," but it's crazy in effectiveness. The stuff he worked on with us stuck with her too, so we didn't have to correct her 3,000 times or bribe her with food.
