If you're looking for NYC movers, check these guys (and gals) out. The movers were all guys. There were 3 of them and they were all great. Courteous, professional, efficient and super prompt. They arrived much earlier than scheduled and got a good early start. Thankfully the freight elevator that we had reserved in the building that we were moving in to allowed the guys to move in earlier than our designated time slot. There was damage (a dent) in our water cooler and one lamp was cracked when moving it in the new apt. but the staff member offered reimbursement which we declined b/c it was from Ikea and really not worth much. I was impressed that he accepted responsibility. They really were great guys. That aside, I was absolutely pleased with the staff, service, etc. We tipped very well I believe. The guys deserved it. Serenity came recomended to me via my real estate broker. Recommendations go a long way so I took his and I am glad to have done so. I would definitely recommend Serenity and I would call on them for my next move. I work in luxury hospitality and I place tremendous value on customer service and satisfaction. I feel that Serenity does as well. And of course, thanks to Molly, the dispatcher (I believe). Molly was courteous and efficient and kept in contact with me by calling every couple of days up until the move to go over anything like inventory count and any changes. She virtually helf my hand ;-) Oh, an, it probably goes without saying but the guys came with a fully loaded truck of any and all supplies (boxes, tape, etc.) should I need it at the last minute. I've had disasterous moves in the past (that I've done on my own) and I was completely satisfied with my choice to relax for a change and use professional movers in New York City that offered great service and an affordable rate. more

I recently used Serenity Movers to do a rather large move. In sum, they really put me at ease, starting with the fact that they sent a person to conduct an estimate which really was necessary. Other companies gave estimates over the phone, which were also by the hour. Serenity movers provided a flat rate, and also worked with my schedule and budget. The movers were very careful to wrap things thoroughly, strategy fit everything in the truck, and even took care of dumping, so I avoided hefty fees in fines from my town's sanitation inspector. I would highly recommend these movers and will be sure to use them going forward. I've never had such a pleasant experience before in such a potentially stressful situation. more

I am incredibly anal. And I am rarely satisfied. But I can say without reservation that THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. From working with Max and Molly to set up my move, to the crew packing much of my apartment, to the placement of my furniture in my new place, Serenity treated me and my stuff with the greatest amount of respect, care, and professionalism I could have hoped for. This was my first time using movers and I couldn’t be happier with the experience I had with Serenity movers (movers NYC). Max was extremely helpful and easy to work with in setting up my move. He was diligent in following-up to confirm all details in the planning phase and answered any questions that I had leading up to the move which really helped to put me at ease. We came to Serenity Movers for this move because we had used Serenity Movers for a move a year ago. For the move a year ago, we could not have been more pleased. The movers and Maxwell made the moving experience as delightful as a moving experience could be. With my having to orchestrate that move from a distance of 400 miles, Maxwell was very kind with my inability to make a decision and stick with it. I believe our plans changed four times and Maxwell did not utter one negative comment. And then the movers followed his lead. They did an outstanding job of protecting and moving the items. And in spite of the fact that, due to lack of available parking, they had to move the items a block and a half between the apartment and the truck, I did not hear one negative comment nor observe one negative body language motion. All in all, the move a year ago could not have been improved and a move could not have been a better experience – until Gad and Anthony came along this year. \r \r To say that we were “over the top” pleased with this move, well, that would be an understatement. What I have come to realize is that Serenity Movers insists on top-notch customer service. Gad, Anthony, Maxwell, Noel, Molly and another loader I did not get to meet made this move an even better one than the move last year. These folks keep setting the bar higher and higher. I want to thank all of those involved for making this such a pleasant experience. Here is a great example of what I am talking about. Gad and Anthony started the day sometime around nine in the morning in Brooklyn, loaded the truck, drove eight hours or so to the destination, unloaded the truck in the rain, and placed the items where we asked. And when they left here sometime around eight o’clock in the evening, for an eight hour drive home, they were still smiling.\r \r \r Thank you Serenity Movers for a job well done. And just to put my comments in perspective, my wife and I have moved some thirteen times. We know what makes a move a good move and we know what makes a move a bad move. I was referred to Serenity by a broker I worked with, and they did not disappoint. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical when I read the glowing reviews on CitySearch. Being a jaded New Yorker, I thought there had to be a catch. But my roommate and I both used them (separately), and they were outstanding. From Max's great customer service setting up the appointment to Molly's seamless liaising with my landlords/supers to the crew's fast, professional work, Serenity exceeded my expectations - NO CATCH. Plus, their quote was very competitive. I was not looking forward to the move, but Serenity made it as painless and pleasant as possible. I will highly recommend them to all of my friends. more

The best moving company I have ever used serenity movers. I contacted them and talked to Maxwell who was comforting and detailed in arranging my move it was always a pleasure to talk to him. I did have several changes with my move and he always made it stress free like all I ever had to do was just call him and he would handle any problem. his customer service is excellent.he assigned a crew that where professional polite and very hard working. This move was as painless as a move can be. From beginning to end they were terrific. The estimate that was given by Noel was firm and there were no additional charges except what for what I requested. \r They arrived promptly and got right to work. Each worker was polite and respectfull. The supervisor was always in complete control of my things despite having to use an elevator from the 9th floor. They were also respectfull of my neighbors. On the other end they were exactly the same. I have nothing but praise for this company. From the office staff, Molly, to Nelly and his crew they were exceptional. Although I hope never to move again, if I do, you can bet it will be with these guys! more

I have moved in the city 5 times before, and I can say without reservation that this has been the best moving experience to date. \r Have used Oz, Moishe, Flatrate and others, and noone cared more about me, my stuff and my experience than they did. They seriously got nothing wrong, not one thing. They packed and moved for me, over the course of two days. Poor things: they even waited for me for three hours (because our closing took 4.5 hrs and we moved the same day) and were super gracious when I was finally able to meet them.\r In addition, they were the only ones who sent enough men to do the job (usually there were only 3 sent by other companies - Serenity sent five!)\r There is seriously no reason to search any further. From the initial quote provided by Noel, to the team leader Nelly who was superb, to Molly who did the scheduling, it was a flawless process from beginning to end ... and we're picky! more

Affordable, Easy, Great Customer Service, Excellent Work. Serenity Movers is my GO-TO NYC moving company. They have moved me two times, flawlessly. Their customer service is great (when you call, you get a person), and their rates are some of the best I've seen from a professional company (flat rate or hourly). The movers were courteous, on time, and took care of my valuables. Unfortunately, I've had to move quite a few times lately, but at least I know that Serenity is there to move me all over New York. more

Having moved a few times in the last number of years, I was dreading calling a moving company. However, and I really mean this, calling Serenity was a delight and a relief. I had gotten 2 other estimates but when Noel, the ""moving consultant"" came, I was pleasently suprised by his price quote, as it was substantially lower than the others. Being somewhat cynical, I expected to be charged extra add on fees for whatever might happen on the day of the move. Lionel and his crew showed up on time and had to do more than I expected. They were smart, careful and professional. Unlike previous moves, nothing got broken. In fact, they fixed my wall unit that a previous moving company had broken! No extra charges, no complaining about the heat (it was a hot day about a month ago), nothing but a good experience. That is why I took the time to write this and highly recommend Serenity Movers to anyone looking for reliable, honest movers in NYC. more

I had a great experience with Serenity movers. I used them to move from the Upper East side in Manhattan to the Murray Hill area. I called up on Monday afternoon and was able to schedule movers for Friday morning. The crew was great; hardworking, friendly, easy to work with. I used Serenity to move from Chelsea to the Upper West last year and from the Upper West to Brooklyn yesterday! The guys are super friendly, unbelievably helpful, go above and beyond and not one thing is broken, damaged, scratched etc. Its truly a pleasure to work with this company. Maxwell, who has arranged my move both times, is a joy to work with! He's sweet, timely, and has treated me as if we are old friends! Great guy.
