They were paid a little over $19,000.00 to repair my Mercedes ML500 and I now have more problems with my car than I did before the accident. My car sounds like a bucket of bolts and rattles so loud I have to keep the radio on or it would drive me crazy. They had to remove several things in order to do the repairs and I don't think they knew how to put the car back together. My windshield wiper no longer sprays the cleaner out and my air no longer cools after they ""repaired"" my car. The hood was also uneven and the paint smudged, those were the only two things they actually fixed after I took it back with all of these complaints! more

WORST Body shop in the South Bay. I drive a brand new Mercedes C300 and my back bumper was the victim of a hit and run accident. Unfortunately, South Bay Mercedes recommends this shop, which is a total fail on their part. I should have stuck with my instincts and gone to the original place I typically use, I actually probably would have had a better experience in a back alley in Tijuana. They tried to tell me that my car has under carriage damage which I find hard to believe, and because of this shops shakey reputation I have reported to my insurance that they need to further investigate the repairs that have been made. I stopped in 2 days after my car had been at the body shop to grab some stuff out of my trunk, which they had placed in my back seat, which was annoying there is no need to go through my stuff, you are repairing my BUMPER not my TRUNK. The same day I stopped in I also checked my mileage which they had not reported which was 3424 miles, I then noticed they had reported my mileage at 3430 miles and I picked my car up with 3433 miles! They reset my trip and my car also stated it had been drove for 26 minutes since the trip reset. I'm sure their employees enjoyed driving my car for 9 miles, picking lunch, and doing else they did. RUDE! Their receptionist the one that looks pregnant, has hickeys on her neck, and can barely understand, is also NO help. I called to check the status of my car and she shockingly was USELESS! I also called the day prior to picking up my car and asked her whom I should have the check written out to, she said ""Y&S Body Shop"" that is all she said, never did she say the check must be written from me. Why in the hell would I call and ask who to have the check written to if I was going to write it, clearly she lacks comprehension, too. They also moved and adjusted things inside my car, once again MY car not yours NO need to move my things around and BREAK an item that was on my dashboard. OH and move a bikini that was left on my passenger, they placed it in my glove box, WHY did you need to do that!? As far as the body work it looks fine, I'm sure with in time the paint with chip and it will look terrible, but hey what can I expect from this hell hole, only the worst. more

I recently had to get my vehicle repaired after getting into a horrible accident. i had my vehicle brought into them in the worst condition with no expectations. I thought my car would never be the same, but after seeing them work on my car I radlized that Y & S had me in good hands. They have exceptional customer support and advised my of the status of my vehicle every step of the repair process. I was hesitant to go in before, but after going in i can confidently say I will be a lifetime customer and will recommend them to everyone I know. more

Y&S is overpriced, cares only about money, has no loyalty to repeat customers, has customer service only if you pay for it, and has unethical business practices as long as they can get away with it, Y&S should be avoided, go anywhere else. There are alrIeady complaints listed against Y&S with the Better Business Bureau and Board of Automotive Repairs in Sacramento. I wish I had never experienced doing business with Y&S. Caveat Emptor! more

This has to be one of the most under-rated and low key body shop in San Pedro and deserves proper recognition. This place was able to repair my car after a horrible accident. I thought it would cost an arm and a leg and take forever to fix, but was I wrong. At Y and S they fixed my car in less than 2 weeks and it looks brand new. They even fixed a few scratches at no cost, which as sweet. I must say they really know how to do it right here more

Had my new expedition repair and was real please with the facility, front staff was real friendly and professional, service advisor was professional and walk me true the claim and was updated true out my claim, the workman ship of the repairs where excellent and I received my truck on a timely matter, would recommend this body shop to anybody……best shop I ever been in ….. more

I recently had my 2007 Mercedes S550 repaired at this shop and OMG it looked like I never was in the accident in the first place! The rep was very kind and thorough with handling my needs in the most timely manner. I have a very hectic schedule and they put me in a rental car (Mercedes) within the time it took me to complete my insurance paperwork, which was about 20 minutes! I was advised of how long the repairs would take and was contacted several times throughout the process. when my car was ready they had given it a complete detailed wash inside and out. I would recommend this shop to all my friends/family! more

My small dent took 17 days to fix and when they gave back my dirty car it did not have new pieces like they claimed to the insurance. The ""new"" molding was scratched, there was still a dent and they did not connect part of the lower molding. I drove off with my children in anunsafe car and they knew! They got all the insurance money. They have never called back since I left so I have reported them to the state and the insurance company is investigating them. I RECENTLY GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT WITH MY NEW 2007 BENTLY AND WAS VERY UPSET. MY FRIEND RECOMMENED ME TO THIS SHOP. WHEN I FIRST GOT THERE THE RECEPSIONST WAS VERY FRIENDLY. THEY SET ME UP WITH ONE OF THERE SERVICE ADVISORS NAMED JOE. HE WAS VERY HELPFULL IN GETTING ALL MY PAPERWORK STARED AND EVEN SET ME UP WITH MY RENTAL, I WAS VERY CONFUSED.HE EXPLAINED THE WHOLE REPAIR PROCESS TO ME. AND TOLD ME HOW MY VEHICLE WAS GOING TO BE REPAIRED. WE TOOK A TOUR OF THE SHOP AND FOUND THER WAS A LOT OF HIGH END VEHICLES THERE ALSO, WHICH MADE ME FEEL EVEN MORE COMFORTABLE WITH LEAVING IT THERE.HE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS GOING TO TAKE A LITTLE LONGER BECAUSE HE WANTED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE BACK TO MANUFACTURES SPECTS. I had my brand new Mercedes S Class repaired and i have to say that the repairs were perfect. I have had many vehicles repaired at other shops and i must say this was the best, hands down. They handled everything for me, from the insurance company to the rental car agency. They were very profesional and got the car fixed according to the car manufactures standards. I couldn't tell where the repairs even were it was that good. I got what i paid for my car back to the condition it was in before the accident and better. I would recomend Y&S to anyone who wants there car repaired properly. Pros: The car was repaired to perfection Cons: Repairs take longer but it's worth it more

Y&S has repaired my car after two seperate rear end collisions ($27K & $18K). They are insurance companies preferred provider and I don't know if they would ever total a car. They get paid for repairs not junking. Told me six weeks and took three and one half months the first time and two months the second. Always left something undone or worse. Car cut out on me twice after first repair. Stereo cut out, and the doors and roof were misaligned on second repair. I should have learned the first time. Car was a 2006 Infiniti M45. They are the worst bodyshop that I have ever seen. My insurance company had problems working with them. They lied about damage to my car and gave to worst customer service. I would not recommend it to my worst enemy. Cons: they are terrible more

They do top notch work. It may take a little longer, but the quality is well worth the wait. If you truly care about your vehicle, I'd take it to Y & S. more
