Re: Striving to Improve 3/2/2010

1. Of course there are always two sides. Isn't it also usually the case that one side is being at least partially dishonest, and would it surprise you to learn that, in many cases, it's the person who stands to make/lose the most money? Your renters lose money once, but the cost for upsetting a property owner causes the management company to lose far more. I'm siding with the renters on this one. 2. You can postulate on all the reasons a renter could be upset with you. The bottom line is that you didn't work with them to make it better. 3. As a management company, you have people locked into agreements and contracts. To say ""would you allow that situation to continue?"" is being dishonest, because in many cases, there is no legal choice to be made. 4. It's spelled ""implore"". 5. I know several people who have ""checked you out"", and I have yet to hear something positive. Yes, this is anecdotal, but it's a subjective topic. 6. Ratings in ""community association management"" have no bearing on what one your renter base thinks of you. 7. It's spelled ""excellent"". Thanks for the advertisement, but it's nothing but an excuse to raise your rating while Googling your name. Kindly find a cold, dark place to curl up and die. Thank you. Pros: Some decent properties Cons: Only cares about property owners, not renters. Stay away. more

excellent just read and you'll find out!!!! 3/25/2009

This management is the worst place you could rent for! They take forever to call you when u have a question! They will say the owner doesn't have money to make a repair! YET, THE WORST PART IS, WE TOOK HOURS TRYING TO CLEAN THE CONDO SO THAT WE COULD RETURN IT IN GOOD SHAPE! WE PAYED 500 DOLLARS AND WHEN WE GOT OUR REFUND ALL WE GOT WAS 25.00dlrs. If the economy wasen't what it is right now, i would go throw the money in their faces! DO NOT RENT, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: They know how to sweet talk!!! Cons: They take time to answer quesstions lol! more

Caused trouble on Taxes 6/6/2008

This company direct deposited renter funds into our bank account set up specifically for that transaction. They then generate a letter stating monthly funds, costs, etc. We got the letter every month saying rent was deposited, but it did not always show up. So they turned in paperwork to the IRS saying we received all rental funds while our bank account shows a very different story. When trying to communicate with them about this they refused to return phone calls and overall were appalling unprofessional in many ways. We should.d have reported them to the business bureau, but trying to deal with the financial fallout they caused took more energy than expected. STEER CLEAR OF THEM unless you enjoy drama in your life! Cons: They make money, we lose money more

Always Striving to Improve 12/20/2007

Have you ever read a negative comment and thought to yourself ""There's two sides to every story""? Some consumers don't always think of that but really they should. What's really happening when a company gets a bad review, whether via the internet or through the a local agency that may handle complaints, is that they have had (or may still have) a consumer that isn't completely satisified with the end result answers. It could be a consumer that was evicted for non-payment of rent, it could be a consumer that doesn't want to take their share of responsibility according to a signed lease agreement, or it could even be a consumer that doesn't wish to come face to face to attempt to solve any possible outstanding issues. Let's ponder one simple question -- if things are as truly bad in a situation you may be in, would you continue to allow that situation to continue? We emplore anyone reading these reviews, come check us out for yourself. We have standard lease agreements for our rentals, we have one of the highest ratings in community association management, we've been able to upgrade to a bigger office due to excellant customer service, and we have a wonderful team of people that constantly work together to Strive to Improve (hence the username). Our website is westernnv (dot) com and there is an array of information on there just for you. Please let us know how we can help fulfill your management needs and have a great day. more

definitly reno slum lords 11/9/2007

This management company is the WORST management company I have ever dealt with. If I could recommend that you should run screaming from any company, this is the company. First of all, when i moved in nothing about lead paint or asbestos was released to me until I went to sign the lease - if I had known I would have never even done the application. For about a year after I moved in everything went smoothly until the owner of the property sold out to western nevada management. After the sell I had to call WNM several times a month just to get them to give me my power bills - which they told me I was delinquent on even though I had never recieved bills for it. The apartment itself was in questionable condition - the roof leaked when it rained and there was no insulation; the electricity was even hooked up illegally; sierra pacific condemnded it the first time (of several) they came to shut off our power because WNM never paid the bill. They also redid the siding on two sides of the building because they could not afford to do all of it and in the process they disconnected one of my phone lines - the only remaining phone line was in my bedroom - when I called WNM to tell them what had happened they claimed it was the telephone companies responsibility to fix it. WNM was the cause of the damaged phone line so I told them it was their responsibilty to fix it but they never repaired my phone line even though I called them every week about it. This is the shadiest company I have ever had dealings with and I would go so far as to say that the sole reason for WNM is to mislead people into thinking that their properties are somewhat livable - and after the move-in they will always listen to tenants complaints but rarely to never actually fix the problems. Cons: they've tried everyhting in the book to shirk property resposibilities more

Reno Slum Lords 7/6/2007

These people are crooks and will try to steal from their customers. They have terrible customer service and always treated my roommates and myself like a bully treats children. Avoid at all cost or by all means go ahead and give them a deposit and see what happens. Reno needs fewer slum lords like these guys and more honest Joes that communicate and aren't trying to steal! Cons: Don't repair items after being asked numerous times, steal money, bully people more
