We switched from WasteMgt to Patriot 2 years ago. We have never had a problem with them. We have alley pickup, and the only time I haven't had it picked up was for nonpayment. The only downfall, no notifacation of missed payment. I call, make over the phone payments on Wednesday and have trash picked up on my regular day of Thursday. Even when we had a tree down after storms blocking one end of the alley, t hey came through, and backed back out of the alley. They even helped me carry a large item from my carport to the truck when they saw me struggling to beat them to the trash can! Now that they are bought out by WM, I am sad to see them go. When we had WM before, you could bet that we would not be picked up at least once a month. Sad to see Patriot go. more

I wish I would have read the reviews before switching to this service. Like many customers before me, I encountered the most rude, unprofessional clerk on the phone. I am assuming by the reviews her name is Jackie (she wouldn't tell me) and is the owner. DO NOT use their service. You do get what you pay for and I too switched because of the cost but am now regretful. Obviously, they are family-owned and could never get away with this behavior in the publice sector. Run fast!!! more

Forgot to make a payment. Their way of notifying you: You see the truck race by and it doesn't pick up your trash! So I called them, found out the problem, made the payment electronically, that day. One week later, still no payment received. Of course, they don't take your word! I cancelled and went with another company. Found out I have to pay for a week of service, I didn't get! If I had waited one more day and I would have had to pay for two weeks. Pros: Not only do you get what you pay for... Cons: Every week you get to pick up all the trash that fell off the truck while they were picking up yours, after they leave, because they don't bother to! That can get to be pretty nasty! more

I like so many others switched to Patriot because of their cheap fees. Call me stupid!! The problem of not picking up trash seems to happen often. Dont expect them to send anyone out either. I called today because they have not picked up my trash. I spoke to Karen who told me they will be out next week on my regular trash day. I said, ""so when you dont come, you dont go back?"" She smartly says, ""well give me your address let me look it up."" So what she tells me they will be back out next week without even attempting to look and see what might have happened?? She comes back to tell me the driver wrote down that he was there at 7:16am. Ok, so thats suppose to make it ok, because the man that drives the trash truck is honest Abe??!! I know the trash was out. I had my kids take it out Christmas night because of all the stuff we had. I am so irate now!! I have left the trash out there all week thinking maybe the days were different. So now Im suppose take it all back up and then roll it back down again. I pay for 4 weeks service I want 4 weeks trash pick up!! This company stinks worse than the trash they dont pick up!! Dont be fooled by their nice guy act when your signing up for service. Of course they will be nice then, its when something happens and you have to call them that you may as well forget it. Pros: their cheap Cons: you get what you pay for more

If I could rate Patriot Waste with no star or star-minus, I would. They do not care about the customer. I called one day to see why our trash had not been picked up on time. I spoke with Jackie, the owner. She was rude and unhelpful. This company has the absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I would rather pay a little more for my trash service than have to deal with the lack of customer service and lack of communication skills at Patriot Waste. We have tried to be ""done"" with this company for months, but are still receiving fliers to come back to them. You could not pay me enough to deal with Patriot Waste. You are warned. If only I could give a negative star. We switched to Patriot for the price. Customer service is nonexistant. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! They have left our trash on the curb three times since we switched (with no return to pick it up). The office clerk, Jackie, (and owner of this mess, I was told) is EXTREMELY rude and completely useless for customer service. I will switch just to avoid talking to her again. If I could rate lower than one star I would for this business. Like the other reviews I thought the price was great. But when I had to deal with them on the phone I was floored. One pick up day my trash was not picked up. When I called to inquire why the lady answering the phone told me rudely that it was because I had not paid. I told her that I had not received a bill for that cycle. (this happens too often due to having a similar address to someone else). I asked if they sent a reminder and was told that, ""they don't do that"". I asked if they would come back by and pick up my trash. She told me no. She told me I could pay by credit card over the phone. I asked if they would come pick up my trash. She told me no. I told her I wasn't paying by credit card. When I sent in my payment, I deducted the weekly amount for the week I did not receive service. I also wrote a letter expressing my dissatisfaction with the person who answers the phone and explaining why I did not pay for the one week. No service, no pay. When I got my check back she wrote a negative comment on my check! I'm sure someone would wonder why I paid them for more service but it was only for one more billing cycle. They don't deserve my hard earned money. I will never ever recommend them to anyone. If anything, I will strongly discourage using their service. Cons: thumbs down - rude service more

I chose this trash service because of the good price. It's not worth it. For one, they charge extra for every extra thing you may put at the curb, AND the gal answering the phone has the WORST attitude I have ever come across over the phone. She has horrible telephone manners. Since I frequently have to call to have ""extras"" picked up, I couldn't handle her attitude any longer and cancelled my service. This trash service has the worst customer service people/owners I have ever encountered. If the woman who answers the phone and claims to be an owner is in fact an owner, the reason for the low price is the fact that it is the only way for them to keep customers. If there is more than one owner, the other one needs to take a look at why their prices have to be so low! It is because she is the most ridiculously rude human being ever! If the other owners care about their company they should definately ""replace their front door"" and let her only be a paper pusher, only allowed to speak to the other owners!! Probabably the worst customer service ever!!! You can never get a hold of them and when you do there rude. I had a question in regards to a no pick-up service which was turned into a trashy verbal confrontation by the Patriot Waste representative. I asked her not to speak to me in that tone and to transfer me to the owner or the office manager, the woman on the telephone said that she was the owner, which was pathetic for a business owner. As a business owner and a human she was very rude for no apparent reason. I asked if there was a website to voice my concerns and she stated ""NO"". She stated that my account had been paid up and that was all she had to say and hung up the telephone. I am sure there is others that she is treating like this, I can just imagine if everyone she is treating like this took away their business her company and her home will be the local trash dump. My husband had a billing question which was turned into a confrontation by the Patriot Waste representative. When my husband asked to speak to the owner/manager, the woman on the phone said that she was that person, which was sad. I've yet to meet a business owner as rude as that woman. At the end of the conversation, my husband said that we would be switching waste service. The woman said that even if we wanted to return to Patriot Waste at a later date she would refuse our patronage. Wow! Not a smart business owner, and very unfriendly customer service.
