We went with Hansons. Wall Side was a little bit more expensive, and Magic never responded. I chose Hansons because of the price.\r I considered Walside but they were a lot more expensive and I wasn't as pleased with their salesperson because he was arrogant. more

Not impressed with sales person 2/15/2012

I just wanted to thank Hansons for a wonderful sales experience with David Troyan. He was on time, polite, and didn't appear to be out to only "make a sale", but to satisfy my needs and concerns. \r \r A few days prior, I had an estimate performed from a Wallside representative and it was blatantly obvious he wasn't concerned about my needs as a customer only a sale. He also did not and refused to give me a written estimate with a price breakout/breakdown. He merely scribbled the type of window and the cost on the back of a piece of paper.\r \r Thank you Hansons Windows for providing an honest and reputable company with fair pricing.\r \r I can't wait to get my 3 new windows installed!!!!! more

Salesman not interested in my needs 2/15/2012

I was most satisfied with Hansons Windows' expertise, professionalism, and their timeliness.\r \r I had Wallside do my windows before. I wasn't happy with their installation or the quality of their windows. Someone recommended Hansons to me so I went ahead and went with them, and I am so glad I did.\r \r I may possibly need windows for my other home in a couple of years. Please avoid 2/25/2011

We had 4 windows installed by Wallside 2 years ago. Have had them out 4 times to diagnose road noise and draft. Every time Wallside said nothing wrong. At one time, the rep opened the window and said "there's more noise and draft now, isn't there?" I begged to have them send out a different rep. Within 2 minutes, he got on a ladder and pointed out light between window and sash on 3 of 4 windows. They sent out two guys who jacked up the windows. We still experience a lot of road noise. more

Disappointed in Wallside 2/4/2011

Called Wallside to find out what was the going rate on double-hung, triple-paned vinyl windows. The manager refused to give me a price stating that the price was all wrapped up with the installation price. COME ON! Give me a break! There is a price for the window and there is a price for installation... and all I wanted was the going rate. How hard is that??? I can only assume that they wanted to get me in a corner with a "free" estimate so they could "hard-sell" their product (much like Hanson's). Of course I said that if he couldn't give me a basic price, then we can't do business and I hung up. Then I went to the BBB site on the web and tried calling Weathergard. The rep was right up front saying that their windows were construction grade and probably would be more than others and quoted a basic price for me. I was pleased that she was so open about it. Why couldn't Wallside do that????!! more

Plastic bags taped over Wallside windows to keep warm 1/9/2011

We had 26 wallside windows installed 15 years ago. Good price,35 year warranty, decent job. Four years ago we noticed drafts around the windows and the largest window was the worst.They came out and did some kind of caulk/glue where the rubber seals had shrunk,and replaced the upper sash of the largest window making the replacement with the wrong number of mullion bars..but we accepted anyway.Now the window is almost impossible to open. They changed the weather stripping on most windows,though they no longer had that style. New stripping is larger and seemed to be better.Fast forward to today..more drafts..we taped plastic over all windows and it ballooned out full of cold air..or sucked tight to the window depending on which way the wind is blowing.(much warmer though ) Called Wallside,rep came out,saw plastic,said something is definitely wrong, most likely they will be replacing windows.Reciept he left had incomplete checked at the top,he said someone would be calling. No one called. more

Wallside Windows 1/4/2011

People-you get what you pay for. If you are flipping a house, or looking to put windows in a rental home where you dont pay the heating/cooling bills, then wallside might be an option. If the window is quality, why does wallside have to spend millions for tv advertising? Think about quality products in the market, do you get bombarded on tv with their ads? Word of mouth and quality products sell themselves. Just cause it is new doesnt mean it is good. Look inside the window-the way it is manufactured. Get Educated Folks. Why would you go cheap when it is your own home? Spend the money where it matters. Don't be fooled by the price. more

horrible from start to finish 10/29/2010

I had wallside out to me house to replace my windows. What a mistake, all i could smell was alcohol when they were working in my home. 1/2 of the windows they brought out were the wrong size and looking closely at the craftsmanship of the windows looked bad nothing really lined up. After they finished ive had to call them back 2 times. What a pain. more

Warranty is Worthless 10/27/2010

The salesperson, installers, doors and windows are really nice. The installers were on time and cleaned up very nice. The only problem I had with the installers was they didn't allow me to inspect the windows after installing them. If that would have happend, I would have caught the minor problems (broken safty latch) before they left. The service after the sale is HORRIBLE!!! If your buying a window because of the warranty-GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I have a minor problem with the window & was told if I couldn't work around the schedule of the service man (be home at 8:00-9:30AM, because he wants to be home by 12:00)-than to bad. When I called back to customer service-they told me a could leave a message for the manager, but all she could offer me was the service mans hours or sometime on a Saturday (which the service man rescheduled me for a Saturday after I told him I worked every Saturday). As long as they don't have your money-they are great, but right after you pay-your nothing more

Had an estimate for windows from Wallside and two other installers with Andersen windows. Wallside gave us a 50% discount plus 10% more if we pay cash..Estimate was still more than the other two estimates, WITHOUT discounts! We have chosen a local installer! more

Wallside Windows--Too high 5/8/2010

Given the fact that they're... ahem, "technologically challenged," I had to do most of the internet footwork and the phone calls. Wallside was one of the companies we considered for their new windows.\r \r In the end, it was between Wallside and Hansons. The other window suppliers didn't have what we were looking for at all (and we weren't considering installing them ourselves). \r \r A representative came to our home and went through a short spiel about the windows, air quality, and their double-pane design. (But remember that almost all newly manufactured windows now feature double panes...) \r \r When the representative started talking about pricing, though, our mind was made up; Wallside was significantly higher than Hansons. I'm very happy 11/30/2005

I had to have my windows replaced in my 2 story home and I am glad that we chose Wallside. The salesperson answered every question my wife and I had to our satisfaction and he seemed much more friendly and eager to please than the other window places that came out for an estimate. The estimate was very competitive also. The day of installation a team of guys showed up and what I thought would take a day or two took them but a few hours. They were respectful of my home too, which was nice. Ever since installation I have been loving my new windows! It's nice to look out into my backyard without have to look through steam between the panels of glass. Also nice to not feel a draft! Highly recommend! more

Wallside was the BEST 9/15/2005

We had Wallside replace 6 windows + a doorwall in our home. The price was extremely reasonable (less than half of what two other companies proposed) and the work was excellent. They even added new trim around our gorgeous doorwall and helped me fix my outside gate -- just because they were there! They completed the work in one afternoon. The salesman that visited us was awesome -- not pushy at all and refused to trash his competitors. We are customers for life! PROS: Excellent work at a reasonable price. CONS: more

Love my windows. 8/11/2005

From the saleperson to the installers, they are all wonderful. Very friendly and willing to get what you want done. My windows were ordered and installed within 3 wks. Even when i called about a window they had someone out the day to fix the problem. Even got a extra discount for being a previous customer. more

From the salesperson to the installers, I encountered nothing but the best! The installer was on time, friendly and even repaired a screen on a different window than the one he was replacing. The people on their commercials are real employees not actors. more

A decent company ... but with rude office people 5/27/2005

You see the commercials - you go to the website, you put in your information for them to call and make an appointment, then some RUDE guy calls you on the phone and wants to know why you want Wallside windows anyway. Well, I guess that I do not. At least, the salesperson that came to our home to give us an estimate was a nice, well-spoken and very knowledgeable person. Their estimate was still too high with not that much to offer, but I appreciated not being treated like I was an idiot by this salesperson. more
