I totally agree that Puppy mills are cruel and definitely need to be stopped. In addition, I believe you need to definitely hear both sides of the story. I believe there is SO MUC...

Worst

You fools that seem to think it's okay for anyone to have 600 dogs, do you have 600 kids? Cons: Bad people

RFI: Have you inquired about any puppies recently? 7/13/2008

Please post information if you have actually been to this breeders home in the last three months. Have you seen the kennels? give an approx. date of the visit and describe your point of view of what you saw and what you felt about the interaction. Important. Pros: not sure Cons: not sure more

Great Breeder! 6/19/2008

I didnt make it past the first review before I realized I needed to comment. I bought my pug from her about 4 years ago and I was really impressed with her knowledge and love for each puppy. The puppies were all in great condition, clean and happy. They have access to both indoor and outdoor running room at all times. She let me into her home and let me play with my puppy before purchasing and showed me proper bathing technics and made sure I knew everything about pugs. I could see the love she had for each puppy and I think you can not judge or review someone you have never met. Also if I remember correctly I think she has help. Its not just her. And the dogs are seperate from the puppies. I was very impressed! Pros: great looking puppies and knowledgable breeder Cons: parents were not onsite at the time more

Puppy Mill by definition. Consider Adoption! 6/16/2008

I find it very interesting that the slim number of good reviews this company has received are all in very poor grammar and spelling. It is almost as if the same couple of people have written all the decent reviews. Cons: Puppy Mill more

A lot of puppies, yes....but not the run of the mill puppy mill 6/13/2008

We bought our tea-toy poodle from Wags and Wiggles approximately seven years ago. It was a very good experience. The home she came from was lovely inside and out. Yes, there were several other little dogs, but they have a very nice environment and do not LIVE IN A BARN. The owners actually have quarters for the dogs in the lower level of their lovely home which they had tiled just special for the dogs. We did not see cages when we were there and the house DID NOT SMELL. We definitely saw both mother and father of our pet. Our pet is also one if not the most smartest dog we have ever owned and does not have any physcological or medical problems. She is so precious. We highly recommend Wags and Wiggles. If we were ever in the market for another little one we would definitely go to them. more

Wags and wiggles 4/17/2008

Wags&Wiggles is not a bad a place. And i would know considering that my dad was with and living with rene and I was there almost every/every other weekend. I have been there several of times and i would know that she well takes care of them and of course she is gonna have some sick dogs but that is normal. rene is very nice and she takes care of these dogs, i have seen it with my own two eyes, she feeds them, gives them shots, bathes them and much much more, so how dare you guys say that stuff about her and her business. you guys have only been there once or maybe twice i was there and i saw how she cared for them. Rene is a wonderful person and wish her the best :D Pros: great service, cutest puppys more

interesting how this made the news yet it still business 3/31/2008

luckily i have not purchased a dog from this breeder however i have gone out to look at some puppies with my friend. things appeared much better than the stories i heard, when we went out there. it was odd how we weren't shown any parents and how there were so many puppies and none were even from the same litter. we didnt get invited in the house but her porch was covered, so that was fine. her mother brought some puppies for us to look at, they were all happy hyper little things. i'm just shocked after seeing that news story where it is her mother who is a commercial dog breeder? so much for dogs being raised in a loving home, they are in a sound proof barn in mount vernon! i heard the permit was denied, thankfully! but they'll just move it elsewhere i'm sure! if you dont believe it, go to kirotv 's web site, and type in ""puppy mill"" in the search. its so wrong and cruel. more

People please do NOT support puppy mills. 3/13/2008

I am a big animal lover, so WHY I will not write anything good about W&W, NO matter what kind experience I have with them. Personally, I did buy from them. Sorry, I also supported this horrible business - I didn't know about puppy industry ""secrets"" that naive customers will never know. All good reviews are not strong enough to show that this business is truly good and from other breeders or just NAIVE customers who don't know anything. I also have one of the best looking dog (just as a pet, though, my dog is way too far from breed standard), and one of the best personality I have ever seen (as a puppy too timid, though, and I had to socialize her - she was afraid of hands, yelling, she knew word ""f**"", ""stop"", and reacted as I am going to beat her). Renee Roske is a big liar, she will tell you what you want to hear. As an educated customer, I asked her a few questions, and received false answers. My dog was misrepresented. People, you should understand one simple thing. Those who REALLY love dogs will never EVER have a puppy FACTORY. A good breeder ...Works with one (max 2) breeds/WILL ALWAYS: show parents /give you a guarantee that she will RETURN MONEY, NOT EXCHANGE FOR ANOTHER DEFECTIVE PUPPY in a case that something wrong/never breeds mixes!!! (go to shelter or rescue)/never advertise teacup/designers dogs, etc. There is NO such thing! There is a breed standard. Period./will never breed dogs that out of standard (check AKC site and educate yourself about particular dog standard)/will have only few litters in a year. Businesses like that stay in business because of UNEDUCATED customers. You will ask - but that is not dog fault, at least I save a puppy from them. EVERY purchase you make keep them to stay in business. You save one puppy, but parents of that puppy will be in hell if they can reproduce more puppies, and then... put down, or just die. Just think about it. Those people have NO moral, do you still want to support them? Pros: My dog is best dog ever Cons: puppy mill more

the best dogs a girl could buy!!!!! 3/10/2008

i have boughten 2 dogs from renne and both of them have turned out to be wonderful dogs. the first one i bought was very skiddish for a while but loosend up after a while. she is now the sweetest dog in the world. nice to everyone and every dog. renne has always been very helpful wit us. when we had questions about breeding our dogs she was there to help and offer wonderful advice. people who write these bad reviews are just haters and cannot find anything better to do and obviously cant take care of their dogs! renne is wonderful and would definetly go back to her if i ever needed a dog or had any questions! more

No love, dogs really shy 3/10/2008

I visited Wags and wiggles about 4 years ago when looking for my new baby Chi. When I got to the house, the gal had to go back and forth to get the puppies...not sure where, but they were all timid and scared. She apparently kept them in her garage in cages, I do not advocate the upbringing of dogs in cages..with no love! I had a bad feeling about this breeder, as I had found the add in the paper and was leery. After more waiting and researching I found out that this business is a puppy mill and is affiliated with others. This gals family is the one who is currently being investigated in Mount Vernon and I believe she gets her dogs from there. If you go online with KIRO news, you can see the video and story about the puppy mill in Mount Vernon. I later found a at home breeder who is really nice and showed me the living quarters (which Wags n Wiggles would not) I would not recommend this breeder more

Probably the largest puppy mill in the state. If you see ads in newspapers and on Craigs list, they can't be good breeders because good breeders actually have waiting lists and don't need to advertis 3/10/2008

I would give this place zero stars if I could, but I guess I can't. I bought my first chihuahua from kitty (who also goes by kit and kat and who else knows what, but I think her real name is Marjorie Chinneth--although someone else on this blog said Sundberg--who knows?) who happens to be a partner of Renee's. Her house reeked, the floors were soaked, there were so many dogs, we were only allowed right in the front door, and no further. I asked to see the mom and dad, but I was told no, they were outside and would be upset if I met them (what?). I fell in love with my little one anyway and bought him (I'm glad I did, he may have been sick, he may have some psychological issues stemming from his early puppyhood (he sure isn't like my second dog who came from the mose awesome breeder!) and he may also have genetic issues that we battle with, but dang it, I love the little creature more than life itself!). However, i supported what is probably the largest puppy mill in the state and I also encouraged someone who mistreats animals to only breed and mistreat more animals. Great. And I call myself and animal lover. I don't even eat meat. But look what I did? I wonder how many more countless dogs had to suffer because of what I did? And in case this didn't cross your mind yet--good breeders only breed ONE type of dog--maybe two, and they only have a few litters a year. they also don't need to advertise their puppies in newspapers, craigs list, etc. because they have waiting lists for their puppies. For some of the best breeders, you have to wait a year or so to get a puppy! So if you see ads everywhere, buyer beware. Pros: My dog is darn cute. Cons: sick, psychologically scarred dogs, puppy mill, abusive upbringing, bad enviro, bad partner more

Scary, place - not fit for man nor beast 3/6/2008

I have purchased several dogs & cats over the years from various breeders. Some better than others. This was by far the worst. My friend wanted a Yorkie, we responded to an ad, we were met @ the front door, not allowed past the the front stoop & each time the front door was opened (to bring out yet another puppy) - there was the unmistakable stench of urine & feces. Many of the puppies had poo on them & cowered, flattened to the ground - terrified. These were puppies that had been raised in cages with no socialization or interaction w/humans. more

avoid at all costs! 3/6/2008

I met this woman at the mall and she gave me her card. I called her a few times and when I had enough money saved up, I decided to go and see a litter of puppies. I thought I was going to her home and was going to get to sit down and interact with not only the puppies in the litter but the parents of the puppies. I got to her house and a gal was just leaving, holding a dog upside down. She had said they just bred her and was trying to make sure nothing leaked out, GROSS! Her dog was a huge dog and it stunk like no tomorrow! I was not invited inside at first which I felt was odd, but than she did let me in her home. I did not get to see any parents, and none were even litter mates. I really wanted one of them but her price was much higher than the others and I just couldnt afford it, even with no tax it was more than I could afford. With a heavy heart I left with no puppies, I just had a bad feeling about the place and didn't want to settle for something I didnt really truly want. As I was getting in my car to leave, the breeder told me she could lower the price on the puppy I wanted, a little less than what she said first but still a little more thanI had, my best friend was kind enough to help me out so we could leave with the little girl we both fell in love with! I am very happy I purchased her but it makes me sad to know her parents are most likely not loved. She ended up getting way bigger than I was told, and is most likely a lot younger than I was told (i had wanted an older dog so it would be easier to potty train and so it wouldnt get too big), but I wouldnt trade her for the world! I feel bad for supporting a bad cause and she has costed a lot more money that planned and had an ear infection and kennel cough, she is healthy now and I love her, she's my little misfit! Pros: sweet puppies and slightly neg. on prices Cons: not trustworthy, puppies not kept as i feel they deserve! more

see for yourself, check complaint file (snohomish county records) 3/6/2008

They had an ad in the paper for $399, after calling several times and being put on hold time after time, leaving behind all I have heard about this place, I made the drive to her home to see her puppies, the list went on and on of what she had. While I was there someone pulled up and I saw them bring puppies into the garage in a cage, they looked dirty and were crying. She said they were picks from other breeders, I asked why they were dirty, she said the other breeder has a lot going on.. so, dont worry caring for your pets if you have a lot going on? Anyhow, she brings out a few older very scared little dogs to show me, they were so skittish and very leery of people, and didn't look to be young. She said they were older puppies and some were young adults. She said a couple of them were ""teacups"", but when put on the scale they weighed more than 4 pounds at just a few months old, which is ok - but why lie and claim them to be teacups? My husbands sister breeds yorkshire terriers, and teacups are a lot smaller than what I saw at this breeders home. One of the dogs even had feces stuck in his hair, and a few of the others had very gurgly tummys, one had the run s and one was throwing up, she claimed they were just excited..and might have been fed treats? The whole experience was just weird, there was lots of activity in and out of her home, and I didn't like seeing cages of dogs brought into the garage, she refused to let me see the garage, said it would freak the dogs out too badly and some mothers had puppies in there.. in the garage? The prices were very high, I guess the pups for $399 were all sold before I got there... even though I came to look AT the ones marked at that price, she almost seemed puzzled while talking , almost as if she was just making things up that sounded good. Her prices jumped from $699 to $999... and their adult sizes and personalities seemed to alter to whatever she thought I was looking. Dont s give them the time of day, they are shady! Pros: 0 Cons: Very shady and dishonest. Treats animals poorly and lies. more

stay away of this place and report it 3/6/2008

My daughter purchased a dog from this breeder. I went out to meet her after our pup came home because I wanted to see the Mom&Dad. I have never gotten a dog without seeing the parents & thought this was so strange that she didnt see them. Rene said that the Mom would lose her milk if we saw her and the Dad was not there. I totally fell for this as she was so nice and chatty. She told me to bring our pup back for his shots. We did, then things got wierd. My daughter took him out there & a very weird woman was there, she grabbed the pup from her to give him a shot. He bit her and she yelled at my daughter. She was shocked and said that the dog had never bitten anyone. Apparently Rene came running down the stairs, took him, gave him his shot. For the next shot my daughter wanted me to go with her. I did, Rene was there and everything seemed ok. A few minutes into the visit this lady showed up,so did several men. I was appauled when I saw this lady and even more so when she spoke. Rene had some very wishy washy stuff go on at her house. She also told me 3 or 4 different birthdates for our dog&we never did get the papers that we paid extra for. Rene talked poorly of her ""friend"", but they were always together & seemed very close. Rene also at one point told me that my dog was not purebred which was why she couldnt not give me the papers, but than back tracked once i asked if we could have our money for the papers back. I can tell her concern was money, not the dogs. Weve had our dog for a few years & I have not contacted her again& she hasnt contacted me. The vet we chose thinks poorly of her, &he has a genetic problem with his lungs- we have him on the proper meds. Sure, we love our dog, but we certainly would NEVER go back! To everyone claiming peoples true stories are lies - think again - you may have had a good experience, thats great but many havent & its not right. These are living animals, not used cars. Pros: nice and chatty Cons: too wishy washy, i believe theres more to it that we'll ever know more

I recently purchased a chiahuahua 3/6/2008

About 2 weeks ago i purchased a chiahuahua from wags and wiggles and the dog didnt seem to mesh well with my family so i called renee and let her know that the puppy in fact did not fit well with my family and she immeditaly told me that i may bring the dog back and chose another of my choice to replace him. I arrived at her home and purchased a different puppy who now is great with our family :) i am very pleased with the service and i really do feel that everyone else should stop bashing her company when the things are not true. her dogs are excellent and so is the condition in which they live Pros: great service, excellent dogs great breeder more

eXCELLENT DOG SERVICES, GREAT ANIMALS, GREAT ENVIRONMENT 3/6/2008

I have been buying dogs from wags and wiggles for 7 years now and out of all the puppies i have purchased, not a one of then has had problems. From what I am reading it really does seem as though there is a small group of people getting togethere trying to destroy this comapnies name simply beacuse they have nothing better to do. I have purchased a total of 16 dogs and puppies form Renee and the dogs were all very healthy and continue to be. She is very sweet and always answered any and all of my questions. When I arrived at the home my first time to purchase a puppy i was immediatly brought inside and shown the dogs living environment and how they reacted around other people and other animals and it was excellent. The housing for the dogs was very clean and the house, as some claim, in fact DID NOT smell bad which is amazing based on how many dogs she has. She was upfront and friendly as well as provided me answers to all of my questions. Renee also called and checked up on the dogs after a purchased them,. Her comapny is amazing and sells top quality dogs for affordable prices. Its not often you run across such a good breeder. She is not a mill nor an animal abuser. Besdies, if all of that really happend to the dogs these owners claim, dont you think someone would have sued her? and how would the comapny maintain a license if they couldnt pass an inspection? Im a comany owner. i know for a fact that if you dont meet standards that you can not get your license. She obviously doesnt have a problem passing them if she has been in buisness for so long. I love my dogs and will continue to buy form her and so will my friends and family. Pros: Great dogs, great home, excellent service, more

Perfessional and Helpful 3/4/2008

We bought a pug/poodle the other day from renee. The dog was healthy and happy and very sweet. Unfortunately we had to ask her to take him back because he had a rare congenital problem. Renee was sooo helpful and understanding and offered us the first pick of a new litter comming up. Her house was clean and she really understands dogs and how to keep them healthy. Please don't let these reviews sway you. Go visit and look at her house and her puppies. I don't know why these people are so upset with Renee, but it seems like lies to me. Just remember she does get inspected for licensing, and if this were true, she would be shut down. Pros: healthy dogs, good custormer service Cons: Peoples negative comments on this site more

to all of you STOP BEING HOME WREAKERS!!! 3/4/2008

TOO ANYONE THAT SAYS ANYTHING ABOUT RENEE AND HER BUSSINESS THAT YOU ALL KNOW TO BE WAGGES AND WIGGLES. YOU ALL NEED TO GROW UP AND STOP BEING HOME WREAKERS. STOP THIS STUFF AND LIVE YOUR OWN LIFES. YOU DONT KNOW RENEE OR ANYBODY AT WAGGES AND WIGGLES SO MIND YOUR OWN DAMN BUSSINES. more

Buyer Beware - Why not to support this extended operation 3/3/2008

Rene has many faces. To get a quality dog go to an AKC breeder or google for a national breed club. These organizations are finding solutions to health issues and the motivation is secondary to making money. Mixed breed dogs carry genetic diseases from both parents. Often the breeding stock is inferior and their is limited or no knowledge of the prior breeding animals or expensive testing done for evaluation. There is more to breeding than a cute face. All puppies are cute. Quality breeders go to great lengths to raise healthy, well adjusted pups. The sire and /or damn should be on site and the housing conditions should be visible. A glitsy house can be a front and in this case it is! This breeder 's parents (Marjorie Sundberg)are in this extended business and are raising dogs in an illegal kennel just outside Mount Vernon. This is also a pyramid scheme which has used many other breeders who have come and gone. Check Snohomish County records too. The complain file is overflowing. If you got a dog and you love it hat is wonderful. This is too often not the case. Do not support this kind of breeding operation if you love animals. Pros: Absolutely none Cons: She is one more

Sick Dog - Over 4 years ago! 2/23/2008

I just stumbled upon this and wanted to advise others to stay away from purchasing a dog here. We got our supposed Papillion (we suspect he is a mix) 4 years ago. He had a little cough (warning sign we ignored) and Renee told us that it was from his bortadello shot. Well, when we brought him home we didn't think he would make it though the night. Between the coughing, and liquid bloody stools, we were terrified for the little guy and rushed him to the vet the next morning. He had severe respitory infection; and has a chronic problem (colitis-like) which causes him to now, 4 years later be on daily meds or his stool turns to Bl--d(for some reason the site wont let me write the word out in full) more
