The defamatory review is in need of a reply. If the customer shopped with us often and sent other who've done the same, we're obviously doing something right. Hence we've been around for over 20 years. According to her, what we did wrong was place a special order for her exactly as she wanted (proper style, size and color). The merchandise we got her was accurate, perfect, and arrived promptly. This is a problem? As with any business, special orders are placed specifically for a customer and we cannot return the accurate merchandise to the vendor -- nor can we afford to keep items specifically made for customers (in this case, the bridal party refused to let the mother wear the color she ordered). This is of no fault of our salon. To clarify other inaccuracies: Our pricing is less than other salons (as we own our building, and pass the savings on to our shoppers) and we never allowed high-pressure, commissioned sales. We gladly pass these savings on to our shoppers. We thank all our loyal customer who appreciate our honesty, hard work and spectacular service! more

RUN - DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS GREEDY DRESS SHOP!!! I HAVE PERSONALLY PURCHASED 3 DRESSES, AND REFERRED SEVERAL FRIENDS THAT USED THIS PLACE FOR THEIR BRIDAL PARTIES AND MOTHER OF THE BRIDE DRESSES. SALES STAFF IS HIGH PRESSURE AND PUSHES FOR IMMEDIATE ""NON-REFUNDABLE, ALL SALES FINAL"" SALE! THEY WILL GUSH ABOUT HOW GREAT YOU LOOK AND GO ON AND ON. ONE PARTICULAR DRESS I LET THEM PRESSURE ME INTO PURCHASE - WHEN IT DID NOT TURN OUT AS I WANTED, THEY WERE RIGID AND INFLEXIBLE, DESPITE THE FACT THAT I WAS A STELLAR LOCAL CUSTOMER!!! THEY WOULD NOT EVEN OFFER ME A SMALL CREDIT THAT I COULD USE TOWARDS ANOTHER PURCHASE-THEY WERE THAT RIGID! THEY WOULD HAVE MADE MORE MONEY OFF ME SINCE I WOULD HAVE PURCHASED A MORE EXPENSIVE GOWN. I AM TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW AND HAVE REFERRED TO THIS PLACE ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE AND TO BEWARE. THIS OWNER NEEDS TO KNOW THAT POOR TREATMENT TO LOCALS, CUSTOMERS WITH BIG REFERRALS AND MULTIPLE PURCHASES WILL HURT THEIR BUSINESS. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS ""MONEY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN CUSTOMERS"" SHOP! THEY PLACE LOOKS LIKE A DIVE, BUT IT WAS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, SO REGRETFULLY, I GAVE THEM MY LOYALTY. Terrible Customer Service! And I don't care how long VIP has been in business. There are plenty of other stores that offer the same lines, but with much better service. Don't waste your time. Unfortunately, I was not treated very well on several different occasions, but I thought it would be different this time. All I wanted was to purchase my dress and bring in my bridal party (total of 14) to purchase their attire, but I guess I'll take my money elsewhere! more

Obviously, BrideToBe has some type of issue. VIP is an AMAZING place and has AMAZING owners. Maybe, the reason that BrideToBe was treated so poorly is because she went in with some type of attitude problem that she OBVIOUSLY has. The customer is only right when they aren't being ridiculous. I just want to say that I love VIP Occasions! I just recently bought my wedding gown there, and I'm very happy! They have great customer service! All of the employees are so helpful! The owners are very personal, and they make you feel as if you walked into your own home because they are so friendly! I would never step foot in another bridal shop again, and I will without a doubt recommend VIP occasions to all of my friends and family! Pros: Great customer service! Cons: I can't even name one! more

It is unfortunate that ""VIP Hater"" and ""Horrible 10"" (which are the same person), took such a childish approach in such a public forum to discuss her disapproval of her ""best friend's"" wedding choices. For all those who read these posts, VIP has been nothing but accommodating, friendly and warm towards us during this sometimes stressful time of picking not only a wedding dress, but also bridesmaid dresses. VIP caters to all different brides' tastes, budgets and SIZES. They truly serve their customers with a smile!! We have had nothing but pleasant experiences and I HIGHLY recommend VIP for your wedding dress and bridesmaids needs. As to the comment of VIP wanting to charge a ""$150 for alterations"", VIP is very reasonable - with a $75 cap in alternation costs. It is obvious that VIP Hater has no experience with standing up in weddings and has NO clue what alterations costs are or she would have know better than to insult VIP with such MALICIOUS lies. I don't know about you women out there, but who of you want a bridesmaid like VIP Hater who has NO regard for her 'best friend' and the most special and exciting time in her life (as we see in her comments about a 'tacky' VIP, 'sequins' and the ""80's prom dress"" )?! If you don't like the choices a bride makes, you don't take it out on the Bridal Salon, you keep your mouth shut for the sake of your ""best friend"". Pros: Service with a smile, large selections of dresses, VERY reasonable prices, availability Cons: There aren't more folks like VIP out there!!! more

I ordered my bridesmaid dresses through VIP, based on my mom's recommendation because she had purchased her wedding gown there 27 years ago! They had tons of gorgeous bridesmaid dresses and mother of the bride dresses in the store, but they showed me some books too that had an even bigger selection. The women were professional, helpful, effecient, and always friendly. They did an excellent job contacting all the girls for measurements, payment, alterations, pick-up, etc. so that I didn't have to worry about any of it and were always available to answer questions from me or the girls. I felt totally confident that things were taken care of, which is so appreciated when you have a million things to do in the months leading up to your wedding! more
