Best

Since we came back to Colorado 5 years ago,we rediscovered The Fresh Seafood Co. and have been good customers ever since. The food is outstanding and the personnel is so nice and...

Worst

First of all, the place was cold. The service was okay. I was really surprised that they had a list of 20+ sauces but no one mentioned anything to us about picking sauces. Howe...

Perfect 10/13/2004

I've been to Vesta twice and both times were excellent. Our table was a bit cramped due to the restaurant being extremely packed so I would recommend a booth. The venison and salmon are to die for. Exceptional wine and bar menu - my favorite restaurant in Denver! Pros: Great food, Wine, Service Cons: , Parking more

Still Good! 9/18/2004

I have not been to Vesta in some time, at least 3 years...and it's still good! My husband and I sat at the bar because it was an hour wait for a table without a reservation. We got excellent service - the bar staff was very attentive, fun and friendly. We had access to the same menu in the bar as we would have at a table. I had the special (NY Strip), my husband ordered off the menu (Lamb Loin) - both were delicious! Was a great date place, even for a married couple. Might be a bit loud for a larger group. Romantic and cozy - great atmosphere with candles lit here and there. We will go back! Pros: Service, Food Quality, Atmosphere Cons: , Noise level more

GREAT!! 9/18/2004

I am fairly new to Denver and have had little time to really explore the food scene. From the few places I have been I can come to one conclusion about Vesta, It was great. From the moment I walked in the door I was enjoying the warm inviting atmosphere and the music was fun, different and very appealling. We did have a short wait in the bar because we didn't have reservations, but we were here on a recomidation of a friend and it was well worth the wait. The food was excellent and the sauces, what a great idea!, were so good themselves and a perfect compliment to our meals. The whole evening went well, do in part to the well educated and very attractive staff. I say if you haven't tried Vesta yet it is a must when you are in Denver. Pros: Atmosphere, Food , The Bar more

wow 9/17/2004

This place is awesome. My girlfriend and I have been there twice. The first time was late , and the place was packed. The host recommended dinner at the bar. We were reluctant, but were informed that we could have the menu at the bar. We were well taken care of. We oredered salads, a Vesta roll (incredible), a cheese plate (where do they get so many cool cheeses?) a shrimp satay and a bottle of wine. Everything was excellent, from service to food...we felt very special. The second time, we made reservations... packed again, but our waitress never missed a beat. We had the chicken and the steak. The sauces were amazing. We saved room for dessert, ""matty's apple"" came highly recommended...we were not dissapointed. This place is so special to us, we can't wait to return again and again. Maybe our third time there will be a proposal?! Pros: Special, Decadent, Perfect more

awesome! 9/17/2004

I recently took my girlfriend into Vesta on the recommendation of a friend, and he definately gets a gold star! From the fun, lively atmosphere to the great service and even better food, we had a perfect date. The venison was one of the best entrees i've had and i don't remember what she had because i was intent upon cleaning my plate. We both left very happy, full, and we plan on going back soon. :) Pros: the food!, nice wine list Cons: , ation more

Overrated 9/13/2004

Vesta Dipping Grill consistently ranks in the top 10 for Denver restaurants. Unfortunately, when I visited Vesta, it did not live up to its reputation. While the food is good, I would expect a meal for that price to be of a higher caliber. If the entire concept of the restaurant lies with the dipping sauces, majority of them should be irresistibly good. This was not the case; as I've said, the food was just okay. I could have found a more savory sauce in a bottle of hoisin from the local grocery store. To top it off, our service was hasty at best, the restaurant was excruciatingly loud, and we were stuck at a smallish table in the middle of a walkway (perhaps the price you pay for looking young?). For the price, I would expect attentive service, a more intimate atmosphere, and needless to say, exceptional food. Pros: Interesting Menu, Trendy Atmosphere Cons: , Hasty Service, Crowded Seating more

Dip-licious! 7/23/2004

Last night was my fourth visit to Vesta, and I've never been disappointed. We started with the dip sampler, a nice way to get your palate going, and the edamame. For entrees, our party ordered the mole grilled lamb loin, the grilled beef tenderloin skewers, and the yucatan grilled pork tenderloin. The side dish of vanilla rice that comes with the pork is simply amazing! Vesta encourages you to try their recommended sauces for each dish or to try three of your own picks. The peanut sauce, roasted corn sauce, black pepper aioli, and green curry sauce were some of our favorites. The wine list is not huge but features some great mid-priced choices to go with your meal. The white chocolate bread pudding and the creme brulee were very good for dessert. A great date spot and a must-try if you're visiting Denver. Pros: Innovative dishes, Unique Experience more

One Fabulous Place! 3/14/2004

This is definitely a place to go if you are looking for a romantic evening with someone special. My boyfriend has taken me here for my past two birthdays and both experiences have been truly memorable. The quality of the food, wine and waitstaff have few comparisons in the Denver area. more

Awesome Vesta! 9/2/2003

Vesta is by far one of the best places I have found in all of Colorado thus far, and very much is ""my kind of place"". The food is wonderful, and the ambience is nothing short of a truly awesome place to sit in...when you are there you don't want to be anywhere else! I recomment this place to anyone who enjoys a great glass of wine with a unique meal, good company, and a cool warm environment engulfing you! Thanks Vesta! Pros: great ambience, enjoyable food, attentive servers Cons: a bit expensive more

a denver treat 8/31/2003

This a local favorite..Everytime I am served a delicious meal with incredible service. Everyone should experience Vesta's more

Tasty on the Boss's Tab 8/16/2003

Very very good food. Though I went there with a bunch of colleagues for a business dinner, I can see it being good for a date or a place to bring out of town guests. Everything was delicious and I have no gripes about the service, at least on my last visit. Nice concept, but part of me really hopes that innovative chefs city-wide kind of jump more on the tasty, small, tapas-inspired stuff they serve here. I'll be heading back. Pros: Tasty, Different Cons: Relatively Expen$ive more

YUMMMM!!! 7/18/2003

Just visiting Denver and someone suggested this place. I more typically dine at simple, less expensive restaurants, but decided to take my wife out to a nice dinner. I was not disappointed in the slightest. I had the Seared Tuna and thought that every bite was a delight!! I just hope they open one in San Francisco!! Pros: food, service Cons: lighting(too dark) more

Fun and delicious 5/28/2003

As a sauce fan, this is the perfect restaurant. The dipping sauces are delicious (and so is the food you dip them in). Fun atmosphere and good service. Pros: Food, lots of sauce choices Cons: Loud dining room more

Super 5/8/2003

Down to the very last detail our experience was superb. Oustanding food, super service, friendly bartender. Pros: Service, Food Cons: Drinks are pricey more

I think about it often... 3/27/2003

Was travelling in Denver and the hotel concierge recommended this place. Everything about the experience was terrific. I wish it was nearby my home, because I would definitely be a regular. Whenever a topic of restaurants comes up, I tell everyone about this place! more

Epic 3/4/2003

Friendly, unpretensious, great food. Loved Kitt; good wine list; we had the tenderloin, the ceviche, the vesta roll, the vegetarian napolean, the sauce sampler, and we would have tried more if we had brought more people. Nice to see Jan behind the bar. Overall great experience. They found the balance between hip and welcoming. This place still rocks! Pros: Food Food Food, Great Service, Awesome bar more

great concept, but.... 1/11/2003

while the concept is good, the staff are horribly undertrained in food and service. I think it's a problem when on two occasions, I have to explain exactly how seared tuna should be made, or why a wine is bad, it's a problem. I won't be going back and will not recommend this place anymore Pros: service, variety in menu, good wine list Cons: food, knowledge of staff more

Absolute Ecstasy 1/2/2003

The food is pure magic! We love the exotic variety of sauces and dips. The meat is a perfect combination of tenderness and flavor. The ambiance and decor is stimulating. Fantastic service. more

The sauces are perfect compliments 12/18/2002

I've eaten here a few times, and love to bring visitors from out of town here. Love the variety of sauces and the chef's choices with meals have never been disappointing. more

Awesome 12/18/2002

A great dining experience! I was in Denver for one night and asked my hotel concierge for a restaurant recommendation that was ""uniquely Denver."" Vesta was his recommendation and it was awesome! The food was excellent (especially the ahi tuna rolls for an appetizer) and the service was prompt and friendly. I would highly recommend Vesta to anyone! more
