Value Van And Car Rental

I rented a 12 passenger van from the Union location for my trip to Florida. I searched many rental companies before I picked Value. All of the other companies charged money for every mile after their set limit. Value had unlimited miles, and with a 1300 mile trip to Florida each way it would have cost a lot of money. The van was clean and there were no issues at all. I will be using them in the future, and if you have a long road trip Value is the way to go. Thanks Manny more

We rented a van for our month long vacation in the USA and highly recommend Brad and the team at Value Auto Rental. The vehicle was faultless throughout, we clocked over 2000 miles and the van didn't miss a beat. This was also during one of the coldest winters in the Tri-State area. The price was excellent compared to the other "major" car rental companies and we even received an upgrade to the 15 seater van at no extra cost. Thanks Value Auto Rental for making this part of our vacation hassle free. I'll definitely be using your services again on our next vacation. more

If a customer doesn't feel like another number when negotiating with a vendor it means there is satisfaction. At value I was treated for the first time that I rented a vehicle from them like a returning happy customer. I was greeted by the two ladies at the from desk like star. the van was quality and neat, the price was above average and was not under pressure to decide. Everything was explained to me prior to me signing the rental documents.Beside multiples locations around Union and Essex counties their opening schedules are convenient. Since 2010 I have been back regularly when I need a rental and feel that I am always welcome. more

I called to find out information on a rental so that I may drive myself and others to visit my family in KY for Thanksgiving. No one answered nor returned my call. I decided to try the email route for getting information. I sent an email stating my needs, age, etc etc. I never received a response regarding my enquiry. The only correspondence I received was an email a month and a half later stating that they appreciated my business, look forward to serving me in the future, and to give my feedback about my experience dealing with them. Needless to say, I was unable to visit my family for thanksgiving. If there were no rentals available, I was too young, whatever the case. A response is always appreciated. Anyway, they obviously don't understand good customer service because if they did, I would have received information for a rental rather than a thank you email for something I NEVER experienced or purchased. The customer service was excellent! A very busy atmosphere, but I was acknowledged the moment I came through the door. I received quick service for such a hectic business day, (the Thursday after Hurricane Sandy), and everything was explained thoroughly, professionally and courteously. The rental is reasonably priced and the vehicles are clean and smoke-free. I was so glad everyone was sold out, because I would have never gone looking and I would have never found Value Van & Car Rental. Thank you for your great customer appreciation and excellent customer service. You have a lifetime customer. :) more

The rental was in great shape and the service people were friendly enough, what really turned me sour on the experience was how I was dealt with in light of Hurricane Sandy. I was scheduled to return the vehicle a day after the storm cleared out, however due to effects of the storm - gas shortages, and HOURS of traffic backing up the highway (the only access to the facility) - I was forced to return the vehicle the next morning. I was charged for the extra day. Pretty appalling. I hadn't even returned to see if my home was still standing (I live down the shore) and I took a financial hit for something that neither I, they, nor anybody in the tri-state area had any control over. So yeah, even though the rates were fine and the vehicle was nice, I'll never be doing business with Value Auto Rental again. Glad you guys had power. I have looked into this and can not explain why you were charged. The days after the storm were hectic here. Perhaps you were charged in error. It was a good experience overall. There were a couple things that could be improved. The car had a cigarette smoke odor. The center console/cupholder wasn't clean. It looked like someone had spilled something in the past, and it was sticky. Otherwise, the car ran well. more

Value has the best cars/vans. Customer service is excellent. I have recommended family/friends to them. I will always use them whenever I need a car. Thank you Value. We were very pleased with the value, condition of the rental vehicle and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We upgraded to a larger vehicle without difficulty, and the availability of van accessibility for access to the rental facility from our motel was quick and pleasant. I always rent from here!! I absolutely love renting from Value Auto Rental!! I don't even waste my time looking @ other rental companies. I rented a vehicle over Memorial Day weekend, and I was completely satisfied. The rates are affordable, the vehicles are in excellent condition. I will highly recommend Value to anyone who is renting. And Manny is the best, always friendly, willing to help, and a very nice gentleman!! They will continue to have my business when I need it!!
