Best Hair Experience Ever 7/20/2010

After many years of trying multiple hair salons in the Portland area, a friend recommended Victor. Victor and his team, Neptune and Becca, are by far the most amazing hair design and color team I have ever met. Victor ""listens"" to hair and is truly a ""hair whisperer""! In fact my whole family goes to Volero for all our hair needs. It's such a wonderful experience, and no matter what your needs are, you are listened to and made to feel important. And, it's fun too! Amazing Experience 7/12/2010

The team (Victor, Neptune and Becca) valued my input during each step of the process. I felt like a Queen for the day! The ambiance of the studio was peaceful and relaxing. We had so much fun working together to make be as beautiful outside as I am inside. Great Job Team !! ? Volero's was recommended by a friend. I then went to the website and easily made the appointment online. It is a very cozy salon with great entrainment provided by everyone there. We had so much fun laughing and sharing stories which brought out the creative side of each artist. WOW! I love the color combination for me. The cut compliments my round face and shape. All my Friends and Family comment that I look 20 years younger. Now that is a miracle that only Victor could perform. Thanks Team! The Man Made My Hair S-I-N-G! 5/6/2010

After having recently lost my husband, brother -in-law, and father, all within the past year, it seemed time to do something nice for myself. One look in the mirror this morning and I decided it was time to get my ""sassy"" back. So, I strolled in to Volero, met Victor and Neptune, I said, ""Breathe some life into me."" LOVE MY NEW 'DO! 4/6/2010

I never had short hair and my hair went down to my waist. After having my second child I was frustrated with the length and it always getting caught in everything and my son always pulling at it. A Great FIND for a change 3/25/2010

I had gone to the same hair stylist for about 12 years. She was good but, I needed a change! I let my hair go for about a year ... again it was all about change. I decided it was time and found Volero and Victor. It was a great relief to have Neptune and Becca start with my color and it was a ""team"" effort. I liked how they worked together to find the best color for my hair. Victor was able to give my ""old"" hair some life. I had tons of compliments and it was one of the easiest hair styles I have ever had! I just had my second cut, color and I am using the new Nano product that has helped my ""dry"" & ""frizzy"" hair! I really needed some help and Victor was able to continue his again .. Volero has been a great find! Pros: It is a all about YOU! more

The Only Salon I'll Ever Visit Again 2/15/2010

Victor isn't just a ""stylist"", he's a hair THERAPIST. He gets to know your hair. What are it's strengths, what is it lacking. Then it helps it reach it's potential. I have course, very full hair, and all my life no one has ever been able to tame it. My hair has never been healthier since I started seeing Victor and his team at Volero over a year ago. The cut is so good that it looks great even after a month of grow out (the true test of a cut if you ask me), and the color isn't only gorgeous and natural, but it actually makes my hair healthier than it was before. I receive compliments on my hair everywhere I go. Even my barista noticed! I always recommend Victor. Victor won't just give you a hair cut, he'll change your life! Volero is a truly unique experience 12/20/2009

I truly appreciate the warmth and congeniality at Volero. Victor, Neptune, and Becca are always gracious and work collaboratively as a team to design my hair and color to most flatter and satisfy me. Victor is an artist who I feel really sees me and listens to me as I try to explain what I have in mind. And without fail I leave with both beautiful color and cut and the feeling that I have spent quality time with a friend. When complimented on my hair, I enthusiastically recommend Volero without hesitation and at last count 5 of my friends and colleagues have become satisfied clients. IM GLAD TO HEAR GOOD COMMENTS ABOUT VICTORS ARTISTIC HAIRCUTS. HE IS A TRUE ARTIST. I WORKED WITH VICTOR AT VOLERO. IM SO HAPPY I GOT A CHANCE TO WORK AT VOLERO. AND BE A PART OF THE VOLERO TEAM. OH! Hair Satisfaction 6/26/2009

I walked in the door and was greeted by my friend, Neptune, with whom I had worked at another job. She'd recommended I give Volero a try when I came to work completely at a loss for what to do about yet another bad hair cut. Neptune set me up with a nice drink and some style magazines so that I could point Victor, the artist, in the right direction. Victor took a look at what I had marked off, asked me some questions and sent me off with another of his staff to have my hair washed in a beautiful little back area with a marvelous wall mural. ATMOSPHERE! When I came back out, Victor did the basic outline of my cut and then did the highlights I was hoping for. Later he did some dry cutting on my hair, I didn't have a clue about dry cutting, but when he was finished I was amazed with the results! Before, it looked like a simple hair cut that I might have been happy with, after, it looked like a hair Style that I was ecstatic with! It's been so wonderful to have so many compliments on my hair and have so many people tell me that it suits me better than any hairstyle I've ever had. I went on a road trip to see family, nervous because my style was a little edgy for some of them, and they all loved it! You WILL never go anywhere else! 6/24/2009

From the superb atmosphere, to the excellent customer service, and to finish with skill unlike any other, Victor and his staff will provide a hair experience like no other! I felt like a new person after having my hair colored and cut. After having a different hairdresser completely destroy my hair, Victor was able to repair the color and, without losing my length, restore the beauty back to my long straight locks. I have never been happier with my hair 6/17/2009

But my goodness, Victor is amazing. I came in unable to describe something that would look good on me - like always - but Victor understood! He found a style that looks great and that even I can do in the mornings. I keep walking by the mirror and looking at myself - the cut is playful but not outrageous, young looking but not childish, and suits my hair type, facial features and personality to a tee. I didn't know it could be done - but they did it here. It is a small elegant shop with a small but very professional staff. I received a great modern style and beautiful highlights 6/16/2009

I have been a client on and off for several years. Volero is a beautiful salon and quite unique in it's ambiance. Victor has always been superb at cutting hair. In the past, I was not pleased with his coloring abilities. He has dedicated himself to further education in this area, and I'm extremely pleased with the last couple of times he's highlighted my hair. I'm quite particular about what I want, and I applaud him for taking his skill to the next level. I'm happy to see the positive changes at this salon and look forward to my next appointment. It is just FABULOUS! Before finding Victor during my first 7 years in Portland, I went around the Metropolitan area from salon to salon, from frustration to frustration. Then when I met Volero I knew they were special -- and then on separate occasions they each did their magic on my hair, and have done so for the last 5 years! My Only Hair Salon I'll go To. 6/7/2009

It's interesting reading all these comments and ""arguments"" that I see on this review site. Enough to the point where I would like to post an honest review. I have been going to see Victor for 4 years now. He is the only person I would trust to cut my hair. I can go to him with a specific idea and he will cut it that way, or I can go to him with a feeling I want to have... case and point... turning 30 I wanted to be a rockstar so he proposed blonde panels. They were fabulous and fun until I let them grow out. He can make you look like how you want to be. I have seen his staff come and go. The true family members that are there are genuine and true. The ones that have come and gone have done so because they weren't good or developing good under the apprenticeship that Victor has. Instead of stepping up to try to be better, I have seen them leave because it's easier to work at a place where there's no passion for improvement. I have been patient with changes at Volero, because to me, it's worth it to get treated with respect, honesty and like family and still come out looking fabulous. I really recommend making an appointment with Victor and Neptune and now Becca (I hope I spelled that right). I was just there this weekend and I am still happy with my results. He offers Tea, Wine and Coffee to help make your afternoon feel like home. Victor and any staff he has working will always make you look how you want to look or help nudge you in the right direction if you are unsure. You can trust anyone there. I have and always will. Experience it yourself rather than read some of this gossip that is probably not valid. Thank you and happy haircuts! Volero Is Totally Devoted To Delighting Their Clients 3/26/2009

Just thought I'd share my experience at Volero Hair Salon today. Victor took care of my color & cut from A-Z. And the upshot is, I'm delighted. He generously supplied my every request. Even with blowdrying instruction for me to achieve the desired look. He took extra time to give me the finishing touches to frame my face with wisps when I wear my hair up. Not just one hair style did I walk out with, but two! And the Paul Mitchell DVD on the new techniques for hair coloring has me percolating with ideas for my next visit! Absolutely gorgeous!
