I've lived in the Portland area, now, for 8 years and I've FINALLY found a reliable salon! Victor is a fabulous hair designer...much different from just a hair cutter. Each cut works perfectly for my face and I've never been disappointed. I needed a way to cover my gray and to uplift my dark hair. His crew added highlights and the color they selected looks awesome! This is a very team oriented establishment. I've had 3 people converge on what to do with my hair. Everyone has a ""say so"" and they love what they do. Volero is the salon for me! more

E is GREAT! 2/23/2011

I have followed my hairstylist Emmanuel Santana to Volero Salon! Last night was my first visit to the salon and I completely enjoyed it - E hasn't missed a beat in this move and I believe that he has joined a great team. Everyone at the salon was very welcoming and truly wanted each of the clients to have a great experience. Salon pluses: open salon concept, everyone worked as a team, overall calm feeling, PARKING!, and very friendly. more

Great hair cut and color, but they didn't give me what I asked for. I asked for three different things: dark color, bangs, and keep my hair as long as possible while trimming. I got my hair cut pretty short, blond color, and no bangs. Then they charged me extra because I had so much hair. Well my hair was cut after the color; maybe they should have cut my hair first, since they took so much off.....so why was I charged $245 for cut and color?\r I like these people, they are very nice and well-meaning, good atmosphere but I am still unhappy with being overcharged. more

Amazing experience for your head & your heart 1/21/2011

I am a new Volero client. I appreciate their team approach and Victor's amazing styling skills... my hair is fine and his cuts give my hair life and volume. The interesting thing, however, is that this is not the best thing about Volero for me...the best thing is the stylists themselves. They are passionate, creative, warm and caring. I've had deep discussions in that chair... and felt great connections. Volero is unique, special. Go. They'll take care of your hair...and you. more

I call them ""Team Volero""! I enjoy the fun, creative, and collaborative energy of everyone at Volero. Many times I have had three of them working with me at once to strive for excellence and every time they get it right! Victor, Neptune, Becca and Marina are very talented and offer a true fabulous experience for the client. They always fit me in, even at the last minute, and they always have a smile to share. Fabulous Team 12/5/2010

The team at Volero are fabulous! They know what they're doing and actually give you input on what will truly look best on you. I've never been anyplace where all the stylists work as a team the way they did. It felt like I had three pairs of eyes helping me with my look. I've wanted to go back to a rich brunette color for years and every time I've walked away with ink black hair which did nothing for me! I walked away from Volero with a shiny, healthy rich chocolate brown color that looks so natural and compliments my skin. The hair cut is gorgeous as well and unlike some places where they have to style it a certain way (that I can never recreate) this cut falls perfectly into place almost on it's own! Such a great place. I'm telling all my friends and family. Thank you all! more

What a Team And What A True Artist 11/21/2010

wow, I have been searching years for this experience and quality. I have never felt so pampered and I have NEVER been to a salon where all the artists interact with each other let alone gather for a team consultation, I have ""a team of hair designers"" ! My haircut and color is the best it has ever been. I have searched salons in LA, Seattle, and Portland. As a blonde, i have never truly loved my color until i meet Becca. She really has an eye for advanced blonding. I have ALWAYS wanted to be an ash/neutral blonde and nobody has ever been able to get me there... until now! Becca: truly an advanced blonding specialist. A Genuine Gem 11/10/2010

I've been in Portland for five years now. When it comes to hair and beauty, I've tried it all: the Aveda Institute, Bishop's Barbers and a few of the higher end places. I've had some acceptable experiences (and some not so) but have never been drawn to go back. I have also never been compelled to write a review on anything, despite being a food, beauty and bar enthusiast. Considering all the above and the fact that I'm an insanely busy college student means that Volero is truly something special. This became apparent from the moment that I set foot in the salon. It was unlike any salon I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot of salons). The best thing about it was their genuine dedication to excellence. This sounds generic but I don't how to better articulate it. Every decision was made scrupulously but passionately. And they did it in such a way that you too felt like an artist working to perfect your own masterpiece. more

WEDDING HAIR!!!! ASAP 10/17/2010

Ok so I gotta say, wow wow wow!! Did I say wow. The story goes.... my hair appointment was cancled 6 days before my wedding I was fracking out!! No one in the area had late evening apts!!! Only at Volero did they hear my "" sad but real"" story. NOT ONLY did they get me in on the same day, Victor and Neptune stayed late after to gt my hair back to health. They did not take short cuts and have their very best, at the end of a long work day!! That is why Vorelo is on the top of salons in Lake Oswego/Portland!!! Amazing!!! Thank you so much you guys ROCK!!!! more

Birthday cut 10/4/2010

Hello! I had hair that draped to the middle of my back. It's thick, curly, & I've never had a good experience with hair cuts. Needless to say, my hair was dry and damaged, and ready to be cut. So, for my birthday, I decided that it would buy myself my haircut. I was there for quite a while but i was in no hurry. I saw people who came in who were in a hurry & the staff was very attentive to that need. Contrary to Michele's comment, the teamwork was amazing!! You can tell they work well together and treat you very special. The service is exceptional and was worth the hour drive AND the $215. I did have it colored a dark auburn with streaks of strawberry blond. The woman who dyed my hair told me to wash my hair in cooler water the first few times but i ttoally forgot & a lot of the dye did come out the first couple times. I am very pleased with what they did and will continue to give them my business more

LO Ladies Beware 9/20/2010

Don't be fooled. Buyer Beware. I went to Volero as a first time customer. Beautiful salon. Hair cut was terrible. Color was OK. Is washing out after two shampoos. They really think they are pampering you by having "the team" work as a team. Lots of talk about how they are "expert" at what they do. This color, cut and blow dry cost over $200. Absolutely not worth the time. I called to let them know about my dissatisfation. Victor said he would have someone call back and have me come in, never did.\r \r LO ladies don't waste your money or time. You are being taken in a big way. more

Topnotch loving talented team 8/5/2010

I have had my hair cut in LA, NYC and SEATTLE and believe me when I tell you the Volero experience is amazing a rare combination of Body Mind and Spirit...It is cozy and posh at the sametime. I felt loved and cared for from the moment I walked in and included in all that was happening in 'the salon. Each persons transformation was celebrated and the best in each of us made to shine. Not only were Victor and Neptune talented but they both have an amazing eye for just what each lient needs. They take the time to find the true diamond within each of us and then let it shine. The perfect color 8/5/2010

I have never felt like such a papered princess like at Velero. Becca did the most amazing job with my color. She took her time making sure I understood why the color suited me. Being educated by the expert is a relieving feeling that you can let go and let them take control. Becca is fabulous. When I was looking through a magazine to try and capture I was going for Victor came over and BAM picked exactly what I have been looking for. I didn't have to stress explaining how I didn't want this and I did want this when all I am is confused. Victor cut my bangs and the rest of my hair perfectly with not a difference from the photo. Volero is the place to get pretty! more
