This clinic came highly recommended and, over the last few years, I have taken my beagle there a few times to treat ear infections and have always been happy with the care he received.\r \r After showing some rather scary symptoms, I returned today feeling very concerned about my pooches health. After a thorough exam and asking questions, Dr. Riley quickly diagnosed the problem and patiently explained the symptoms my dog is experiencing. This vet's experience really shows! She is genuinely caring, warm, very good with animals and pet owners alike. I am very impressed with her common sense approach to medicine while keeping both the animals well-being and owners pocket book in mind.\r \r Marina Pet Hospital is a great place to go when your pet needs care and is well worth the drive from the surrounding areas. Nice clinic, friendly staff and experienced veterinary care at a fair and affordable price. more

I have taken my dog and cat to Dr. Kelley Riley and find her to be very honest, straightforward and skilled. I have had oral procedures done on both animals. She itemized every fee associated with those procedures. I find her rates very good. She does very good work and her staff are outstanding. It is a very clean hospital and I highly recommend it. more

Just had my cat's teeth cleaned this week and she needed one pulled too. I had an estimate from my usual vet in Monterey that was almost double what Marina Pet Hospital charged me. Not only was it less expensive here, but the staff and doctor (who came out to talk to me when I picked my cat up) were really helpful, friendly and thorough - not so much in Monterey. The vibe here is so much better! I like that they have an office cat and dog, which tells me they really care about animals, not just the money. I'm definitely switching both my cat and dog to Dr. Riley!\r more

When our cat, Mr. Lucky, suddenly became sick, we were beside ourselves. He was an active, outdoor/indoor cat who loved to hunt. At 4:00 P.M. we rushed him to Dr. Riley. She ran a battery of tests and stayed after hours, as did her technician. After many tests we learned that there was fluid around his heart and his kidneys were shutting down. She taught us how to administer I.V. fluids and was honest about telling us what our choices were as far as taking him to a specialist, waiting until the next day, etc. It was an extremely heart-wrenching time for us and we beat ourselves up because we didn't pick up on any symptoms. Dr. Riley was quick to point out that cats are often difficult to read and continued to support us as we pursued his steps to recovery. I can't thank her and the staff enough for taking so much time with us. The bill was very reasonable for the tests, treatment, and time spent. Thanks! more

I have taken my dog to Dr. Melcon for eighteen months. My first encounters with her were when she attended to his medical needs after being attacked by another dog. She immediately noticed the medication given to me by the ER was unsafe to manage my (breed of) dog's pain. She carefully listened to my concerns and offered advice as to follow up care. He is now healed and re-socialized with other dogs after having been ""quarantined"" for weeks following the injury to avoid infection. The insurance plan is great. I signed up upon my first visit. The plan had paid for itself within three visits (made within a month of first visit to follow up on his injury). I feel comfortable knowing my pet has a reputable and knowledgeable veterinarian, and will continue to take him to Dr. Melcon as long as I live in San Francisco. more

A place where they treat you and your pet like family!!\r \r I can't say enough good things about Dr. Riley and her staff. We've been bringing our dog Petrie here for almost 3 years and have been extremely happy with each and every experience. He's visited on several occasions for: vaccinations, picky eating habits, rumbly in his tumbly, and just yesterday.....flea bites. OH NOOO!\r \r No matter how small the case may be, they are genuinely concerned for you and your pet and will go out of their way to accommodate you in any way they can. Dr. Riley walks you through all your questions and will explain treatment options and preventative care without overcharging or advising unnecessary procedures. more

Marina Pet Hospital and Dr. Riley are very deserving of this five star review. We noticed our 12 and 1/2 year old Golden Retriever was going down fast and we called on a holiday and the staff was very attentive. We brought our dog in the next day, late in the day. The staff had a room with a blanket and some wonderful notes and literature about the death of a beloved pet. We were able to have a wonderful passing of our dog, the staff were compassionate and caring.\r We were surprised to have such a sensitive and professional event around the passing of our Golden boy. Can't thank them enough. more

Very impressed - my dog has stomach issues and is on the road to recovery. Dr Riley was very detailed in both her assessment and her explanation to me. When she sat on the floor with my boxer it seemed to lessen the anxiety my pet was experiencing. Her staff is also great! more
