Angie in the office and Gary, the tech, were very helpful coordinating with Kitchenaid to get my self clean latch replaced at no charge which Kitchenaid had told me it would be. They worked with me to get it done quickly and to get the oven to work until the part was delivered and installed. Very pleased with their help and the repair. more

I couldn't be any happier. The tech, Dennis, arrived on time, when he said he would. Introduced himself and was very pleasant. He listen to my concerns and addressed the problems right away, the first time. He was very knowledgeable about the range. I would recommend Twin Cities Appliances to my friends and family for any repair work that would be needed. more

do not call this company if you need a first appointment of the morning to get somewhere. the tech came last week at 10:00am, Again this week it is 10:00 am before there is any word he is on his way to finish the repair. I got good service, but would not call them again if I needed to get to work on time. I was willing to delay the repair to get a first call of the morning, but I would never guess that 10am is the first time of the day someone could come. \r Either find techs who can be at a call at 8am or let customers know how late a particular tech starts his day. more

Our 11-year old Kitchen-Aid gas oven would not come on in the Bake mode. I described the problem over the phone and was told the likely solution and estimate. The technician (Phil) came out 2 days later diagnosed the problem and fixed it. The cost was what I had been told on the phone. In addition, Phil gave his opinion on the condition of our 11-year old washer and dryer and advised us on what to watch out for. We were very satisfied customers and would recommend Twin Cities Appliances.\r \r Ken H more

Super experience. I had a broken microwave and the knowledgeable technician arrived promptly and was very professional. He explained the problem to me and what he needed to do to fix the microwave. He was able to promptly fix the problem and I was charged the amount of the estimate. I will most definitely use Twin Cities Appliances again!! more

We had a problem with our range. I called the manufacturer as still under warranty. They scheduled an appointment with Twin Cities appliance. They called to confirm appointment and came out on time as scheduled. The service person was friendly and knowledgeable. He fixed the problem that I called about and also another issue we didn't know we had until the 1st problem was fixed. The charge was as quoted. I would recommend them and would use them again. more

Had a great service experience. From the 1st contact with the lady in the office (Angie iirc) all the way through the repair. They were very accommodating to my schedule and the repair by Andy was top notch. I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone in need of appliance repair. 5 stars all the way more

Great Communicating, Interesting Experience, Friendly Staff! 3/29/2012

The employees here are super friendly and willing to work with you if you communicate your needs to them. Be sure to describe the issue in full with what is going on. If you just want your dryer CLEANED of lint --- this isn't the place. BUT if you need anything else, this is the right place for you! If you have an issue that arises, which could happen with ANY company --- don't just leave a bad review --- work with the company to resolve it first! You know what? We are all human. Local companies especially. This place has been in business for so long, that they know their customers well, they know the market well and I bet they do their job well! I had an interesting experience that resulted in the service not being performed but you know what? The staff was super friendly, even when I was stressed, and the manager worked with me to resolve my concerns. In this day of social media, people expect results right away. People want their gadget or who's it to work at 4G speeds. You know what? It turns out a dryer isn't 4G. A washer isn't 3G. Your oven doesn't have a 20megabit connection. These are appliances. The repair people deal with broken things all day, and frusterated customers who didn't get their favorite mini skirt or pair of boardshorts washed in time for their event. After a long day... the employees are only human, too. Take the time to communicate, and your issue will be resolved, and resolved well. Twin Cities Appliance worked hard for me to prove the age old adage that ""the customer is always right."" Discuss with the office/dispatch what needs to be done. Sit down with your technician while they are in your cobwebbed basement, hear their story. Summary in case you just scrolled through this, Twitter-style @customers who whine, just use actual werds 2talk2 the manager or employees, and be friendly, and git yer stuff fixed fast, and TCA will help a lot. Thnx. more

Avoid at all cost. 3/12/2012

This place is horrible. The technician was sent to fix our washer. He didnt do anything to fix the problem. He said everything was fine. We were bill $90 for the service just for having him come down. What a waste of money. This place hired technician that doesn't know anything. They just want your money!!! I dont know why they are still in busy.. Please go somewhere else to have your service. more

Avoid them! Complete waste of my time and made me pay $85. 3/8/2012

We had a problem with our trash compactor, the tech said a switch behind the unit would need to be reset and the unit has to be removed (it's built-in) to fix. He is completely wrong, all that needs to be replaced is the lever on the front of the unit that activates the compactor (it broke off). I was able to put something in there to test it and it compacted right away. His quote to fix was $250 AFTER I had already paid him $85. Very inexperienced tech and would never call them again. more

Avoid them! 2/8/2012

We were referred to this company through KitchenAid, when we had a minor problem with a microwave. The guy came, said he wasn't sure how to fix it but would call back the next day... more than a week goes by without anyone calling. When they do call, it is just to collect the $85 for the visit, while saying there's nothing they can do to fix it. I'm contacting KitchenAid to have TC Appliances struck off their list. more

Great Job 1/4/2012

Warners' Stellian sent me these guys for some warranty work on my new dishwasher and after checking this site for reviews I saw all of these terrible reviews and was very worried. Didn't need to be. The service person arrived on time, was very polite, sociable, and knowledgeable and fixed my dishwasher with no problems. I'd recommend these folks (at least the service guy who stopped at my house, whose name I forgot to note - sorry) to anyone. more

Service Professional Rude 3/31/2011

I pride myself on being friendly to service professionals, usually offering them coffee, asking how their day is going, and thanking them for the work that they did. Rich from the moment of interaction was rude, so much so that I was concerned for my safety & wanted him out of my house as soon as possible. What a horrible face for this company. I get it you hate your job, don't take it out on the customer I only hope that the work that was done is better than Rich's attitude because I don't want him in my home again. more

Awful, awful, awful 1/9/2011

I have never written a bad review before but I feel it is necessary to warn others about this company. I have owned homes for 30 years and have had a number of repair service people out to work on appliances over the years. The service people at Twin Cities Appliances are not very good and have required multiple visits to repair appliances. At their last visit, the repair man caused a leak at the connection for the hot water line for the dishwasher when he pulled the dishwasher out. When I got home that night there was buckling of our hardwood floors and my son's walk-in closet below the dishwasher was soaking wet. We've started cleaning everything up and getting the damage repaired using a company that does this sort of thing. Tim, the owner of Twin Cities Appliances, says that the leak must have been there before and that his repairman never touched the site of the leak, although Dave, the repairman, admits to noticing a slow leak at the site before he left and did have to pull the dishwasher out and caused stress on the connection. I'm looking at about $20,000 of repair (only $2500 is my deductible). Tim and his insurance are denying they caused the problem. We'll see how this ends. Anyway avoid them at all costs, not only because of the leak I experienced, but because they are dishonest and just not very good. more

A Nightmare Experience - Twin Cities Appliance Repair 8/21/2009

As you read our experience below, keep in mind after being a homeowner for over 20 years, we've never filed a bad complaint against a company. It took Twin Cities Appliance Repair and the horrible experience with them for us to take the trouble to list this. We don't want anyone else to experience what we did. Maytag Service Center (also known as Twin Cities Appliance Repair Center Inc.) has been the single most horrific repair service experience we have ever had in our lives. Our brand new refrigerator (only 2 months old) stopped working. We called the manufacturer because it was still covered under the manufacturers' warranty, and they contracted with the Maytag Service Center to come out and fix the fridge. Maytag Service Center came out multiple times to try and fix the fridge. None of the repairs worked. The repairperson left our home after each repair and did not stay to ensure the fridge was cooling and working. Instead, the repairperson told us to wait until the next day to call again and schedule another repair visit. After several repair attempts and calls to the manufacturer (Samsung), Samsung agreed the fridge was beyond repair and should be designated as 'unrapairable/a lemon'. Samsung asked the Maytag Service Center to email or fax them paperwork outlining the multiple repairs and a statement that the fridge was beyond repair. The owner of the Maytag Service Center (Tim) refused to send that information, even though his repairperson in our home admitted the fridge was a lemon, Tim would not state in writing to Samsung that the fridge was unrepairable - his reason: because he would lose his status as an authorized Samsung appliance repair company. It was because of money - rather than help us in our time of need (do you know what it is like to go for over two weeks without a fridge?!), he decided his ability to make money from Samsung with future repair orders was more important to him. We will never recommend this company to anyone and I couldn't stress enough how much I think everyone in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area should avoid this company at all costs. This company does not value customer service and helping out customers in need. Their main objective is to make money, and they don't care what happens to customers in their pursuit of it. Pros: None - Steer clear of this company Cons: No regard for thier customers more
