Twin Automotive & Transmission Repair of Charlotte

I initially contacted them by telephone because I had taken my car elsewhere for a diagnosis on my honda. I found out that I needed to have the transmission rebuilt because of several problems with the transmission. They also do free diagnosis and quoted me a price on what the rebuild would be. After looking around a bit, I did decide to go with them on the rebuild ( they had a great warranty option and the cost was about average ). This establishment actually cares about their community and the people around them. They gave me an additional $50 off my transmission rebuild when I donated a toy for a toy drive they were running to donate toys to children in Charlotte that can't afford them. I felt very good after I left because I had also helped my community and I got my vehicle fixed too. The transmission rebuild took only a few days. The shop is different from any mechanic I have ever dealt with. Everything is clean, inside and out, and the people are just a joy to deal with. I would go back again if I ever need to and I would refer anyone else to go too! The shop was located about 25 minutes away from my home in Waxhaw but it was worth the trip for everything to be done right!! more

My transmission needed to be repaired after it started not shifting right. This shop was extremely professional and took good care of my vehicle. I would go here again. I can see why there are such great reviews. This place is really rewriting industry standards with their high service and desire for customer satisfaction. This review is actually comprised of my experience with Twin and my friend's experience also. I heard about the place online and had been putting off getting a tune-up done. My friend needed his transmission repaired, so I told him about the online ad and he persuaded me to get my work done at the same time as he got his transmission taken care of.\r \r Everything went very very well. The prices were very competitive -- and my friend walked away with a 3 year and unlimited mile warranty on his transmission rebuild. I know online they say its the 'best warranty in charlotte' -- well it really is. I and my friend looked around and called a few places before we actually went in. Some guys were cheaper on the price (or the same) but only offered a 6 month warranty or just the standard 2 year. Not to mention the 'unlimited miles' part, no one could match that.\r \r So anyways, we went in about the same time and spoke with the guy that actually does the rebuilding work for the transmissions. He explained everything to my friend to a T and went over all the work that would be done. We walked in not really knowing much about the repair, but when we left, we actually understood what he would be doing, the time it would take and then all the new parts that would be used in the repair. I had never been in a automotive place like that before. \r \r Usually auto repair shops are pretty dirty and look a little shady, but this place was really nice. It was also really close by where I worked and its near a lot of other places in Matthews / Indian Trail too. I would definately go here again. FIVE STARS -- no, TEN STARS! Brought my van in for a transmission rebuild. Paul (owner) gave me a quote and said that he would stick to that quote no matter what.\r Paul rebuilt my transmission from the ground up with ALL new parts (unlike some places who will reuse some parts which in turn will cause you to have to go back at a later date because of additional problems).\r While rebuilding the transmission, he brought me back into the shop to show me what exactly was causing the problems (broken and worn pieces, etc).\r After the rebuild was complete, not only did he stick with the original quote, he gave it the best warranty for a transmission rebuild (I called around and NO ONE came close to it!).\r This is an example of a top-notch, high quality, and HONEST mechanic! He believes in doing the job right the FIRST time.\r I HIGHLY recommend this establishment! Pros: Straight up honesty, quality work! more
