I came in thinking that I had a transmission problem and may have needed a rebuild. Paul looked at the car and called me back to let me know that the car did not need a rebuild, but the sensors were just dirty and needed to be cleaned. They did just that and my car works perfect. If you need any kind of auto work done, call Twin because they are probably the most honest shop I have ever dealt with!!! more

I first dealt with Twin Automotive & Transmission Repair a few years ago when my daughter had an issue with her Ford Explorer. I had a great experience then, so when my transmission failed in my Honda, I knew exactly where to go. My experience with Twin reinforced that I had made the right decision. I had originally called them and 2 others for a price on a transmission rebuild for my Acura. Needless to say a Acura rebuild is very costly and I kind of expected that, but to save a few hundred dollars, I went with another shop that was probably about 15 minutes from Twin's location. The other shop was horrible to deal with; it took 2 days to do the rebuild and then it died on me, so they rebuilt it again --- in the end I had to have the car towed out and taken to Twin Transmission. Paul, the owner, was very helpful, and after looking at the car, he was able to diagnose what the real problem was AND he was able to fix what the other shop couldn't. I ended up having to pay the other shop for what they didnt fix and am currently in a lawsuit with them. Paul, Twin Transmission on the other hand, was super helpful from the getgo and I am truly sorry I didn't go with them first. If you are reading this review, please listen to my warning and DO NOT GO WITH THE LOWER PRICES, especially by shops with little or no reputation. more

After calling several different trans shops in the area, we decided to go with Twin Transmission. They not only provided us with the most information, but they also had a longer warranty than 3 other shops that were in the area. We had the car brought in and Paul looked it over, gave us a call to confirm the work to be done and when it would be scheduled. Everything in the process went smoothly, pick up was on time and we were able to drive away with a rebuilt transmission. We have had our car back for 3 months now and needless to say there has not been a problem. We are very pleased with our decision to go with Twin Transmissions and would refer them to anyone else in need of auto repair. more

Twin Transmission had to fix what another shop could not. I had brought my broken transmission / car over to Mr Transmission on Independence but they (after 3 times) could not seem to fix the transmission problem. it cost me over $1200 just to get the car out of their shop, although they did not solve my problem. Twin was able to tow my car in for free and was able to fix the transmission (properly) in just 3 days. I would never recommend anyone to Mr Transmission, do your homework before you go anywhere. Twin did a great job and I will be telling EVERYONE i know about them!!!! more

This shop always amazes me. The entire staff is friendly, the waiting area and restrooms are always clean - and the prices are dead on. I have been coming here since 2008 and have to say that I would recommend Twin Transmission to anyone and everyone. They really do excellent work. more

From small repairs like brakes and timing belts, to the big stuff, they have handled every service so professionally and expertly. I was getting ready to sell my car when it started slipping between gear 2 and 3. To my despair, it really needed its transmission to be rebuilt. I found Twin online, read through the reviews and I really liked how they had a 3 year warranty. I called two other shops, 1 offered a 6 month warranty, which sounded really shady and then the other was a basic 1 year warranty. Since I was selling the car, and I wanted to provide value to the vehicle, I went with Twin's price. Their price was only $150 more than the shop that offered the 6 month warranty, so it was well worth it. The transmission rebuild took only 3 days and it was returned to me all vacuumed out and wiped down. I was really impressed by the extra steps they took to give me back a clean car (which is something you typically only see at dealer shops). After three weeks, I was able to sell my car and for $200 MORE than I had originally planned. The buyer really liked the fact I could show him the invoice for work done on the car and the 3 year warranty really helped push the sale. Without Twin, I may not have been able to get the price I wanted for my car, let alone find the right buyer. They did an excellent job and I would tell everyone to go to Twin and get the 3 year warranty - its well worth it. more

It is no wonder to me why they call Twin Automotive the Transmission King of Charlotte. They really know all there is to know about transmissions, from the inner workings to any type of repair. I was blown away by the information I found online about them, so when my transmission failed in my Honda, I knew exactly where to go. And I can say that these online reviews are all accurate because I have had a more than wonderful experience at Twin Transmission. 1) They offer a GREAT warranty. It is 2 years longer than any other warranty in the area. 2) The free towing was like a weight taken off my shoulders. I didnt have to worry about paying a tow man to move the vehicle to them when it was parked dead in my drive way. 3) the staff is delightful. They are all very kind and took so much time to answer my questions and even educate me on how my transmission works! There are so many other great things It could say about Twin, but the best thing to say is that if you ever do have a transmission problem, do not hesitate but call Twin Transmissions, they are experts in this type of repair and can help you without any doubt. more

This business is comprised of a great team that works hard and does what is promised. I never had a doubt from the time I called to when I brought the car in to when I left with it fixed. Paul is a very honest man and answered every single question I had for him, and he kept his word. The vehicle was fixed ON TIME and I have not had a problem since ( this was almost 7 months ago ). They gave a great warranty - 3 years (longer than other warranty in town) and I am very pleased. If I should ever need any other work done to my vehicle, I will not hesitate to call Twin Transmission repair. more

This is the 2nd car we have had a transmission problem with. Being that I travel for work, my car needs to be in top condition for travel at all times. The tranny broke two days before I was to go out of town to Orlando again but Twin saved the day and was able to get my car towed to the shop the same day, and have it fixed before I was due to leave. These guys do top notch work and I would send any of my friends their way. Great job Twin Transmission! more

I have been to a few shops in Charlotte and let me tell you, none compare to this one. They say that a clean shop isnt a busy one well this shop will put that phrase to rest - they have the nicest, cleanest facility I have ever been to, especially for a tranny shop. And if anyone knows anything about Dealerships or even Nascar shops, GOOD shops ALWAYS keep their shop clean. Twin Transmissions is a great repair shop and I highly recommend them more

Each member of their staff is delightful and you can tell they enjoy their job - which really means something good about this business.
