We were devastated when the transmission in our Honda went out, but luckily the guys at Twin were able to have us up and running again in just 3 days. They also offered a rental car while our vehicle was being worked on, which we also thought was great. I originally thought I would have to miss several days of work while the repairs were being made, but I never missed any time off! Twin really worked hard to have the vehicle finished before the weekend for us. It has been over 3 weeks now and the vehicle has been running great! We are beyond pleased with Twin Automotive and will be sending friends their way! more

just had my transmission rebuilt repair done about six weeks ago. the tranny runs like new and i am very happy with the work that was done. Twin automotive is a great repair shop all around, not just for transmission work but auto repair problems too. Paul is a great guy and helped me out big time. They always keep you up to date as the repair is being done and the prices are good. Go to twin and ask for paul. more

I have been taking my vehicles to Twin 6/4/2012

I have been taking my vehicles to Twin since 2007. Paul is a solid operator of a strong business. He is a wise business man and runs a great team. Each member of his team is honest, knows how to perform quality repair and diagnosis. They are always on time and up front about any costs for the job. I have had 2 transmissions rebuilt and all other repairs were mostly minor, combined with a lot of maintenance. I will be going to twin for more years to come. Five stars more

I love dealing with Twin Automotive. Each member of the Twin team is very knowledgeable. Even if I have a simple question to ask, they always take the time to answer it in detail. I've been back to Twin several times over the past few years for minor repairs, each time I was taken care of. I will be telling friends, family and more about you guys. Thanks!! more

4X4 OWNERS CALL SOMEONE ELSE 4/3/2012

Had a small leak on my transmission that made a puddle overnight, six months and three trips back to their shop, its a large leak, I gave up. Looked under my truck to see if I could do the repair and found my FRONT DRIVE SHAFT FOR MY 4 WHEEL DRIVE IS MISSING. Called and spoke to the owner and he said ""I will check into it and call you back in an hour, two days later I called back and had to leave a massage. It has been one week and no phone call. So $500 and will cost at least $200 for a used drive shaft, plus the transmission slips. Unless you have money to through away, take you car somewher else more

I was floored by the excellent service 4/3/2012

Twin Automotive has earned a customer for life. Having moved here only 6 months ago, I was distraught when the transmission in my honda odyssey went out. I had left behind a great mechanic in Virginia and did not know where to turn to here in Charlotte. I went online, found Twin Automotive and decided to try them out. From the first call to when the car was done, I never doubted my decision to choose Twin Automotive and Transmission. Each member of their staff is delightful, courteous and you never feel as if you are being rushed out. I felt very welcome and at home, as if these were all friends of mine. I am so happy that I found Twin Automotive, I will be returning and telling everyone I can about their great work! more

Save your time and go here first 2/22/2012

Excellent service. We took our 2001 Honda Odyssey to several places to get quotes. Twin Automotive and Transmission had the best included warrantee by far. Others had a better initial quote but didn't include everything for the rebuild. When comparing apples to apples, Twin had the best price overall. I also appreciated that Paul did not try to low ball his estimate. He gave me a range of prices for the repair depending on what they found. The final price ended up right in the middle of their range. Save your time and go here first. more

High Quality, Transmission Experts! 1/9/2012

Reliable, dependable, and honest! Paul @ Twin Automotive & Transmissions has always been true to his word when doing work on my vehicles, Whenever I have problems with my Tahoe Transmission or anything else on the car or with my wife's Dodge Stratus, I can take it to Paul and his crew and they immediately hook up the computer to discover where the problem lies. They have never led me to believe that more work is needing done than is required to return my vehicle to maximum functioning. When they worked on my transmission, they showed me the parts that were causing the problem and how they functioned within the transmission. I am amazed at the high level of competence they exhibit while being friendly and respectful. Thanks to Paul and everyone who works @ Twin Automotive & Transmission for the good work you are doing! more

Many great experiences! 1/3/2012

I have visited Twin Automotive a few times now for anything from an oil change to a full blown tune up and have been SO happy with their service. They will always walk you over to your car and explain very carefully - and show you - exactly what needs to be done. He will quote you before you walk out the door and my quoted price has never changed. I have referred several friends to Twin Automotive and they have all been happy with the outcome. more

Went beyond the call of duty, a must read review 12/20/2011

I would like to take the time to put the spotlight on Twin Automotive & Transmission Repair in Indian Trail NC. These guys fixed my transmission just in time for the holidays and literally saved my Christmas. My family was struck with a transmission problem that was going to prevent us from visiting sick family in Florida, but thanks to Paul for helping us out, working us into their busy schedule and getting us on the road again. We are all very grateful for him and his employees. Everyone went beyond the call of duty to help sort our situation out. They really made our Christmas. We will be coming back again and spreading the word. Thank you! more

Very pleased with work done to my vehicle 12/20/2011

I am very pleased with the work done to my vehicle. I have brought my vehicle in twice this year to Twin Automotive. The first was for a major repair, a transmission rebuild and the 2nd time was for some minor maintenance and services. Each time I was very happy to visit Twin Auto. All the employees are a delight. Very helpful and care about the work they do. Thank you all for your hard work and help. Twin has gained a client for life. more

Very Nice to Deal With AND Did What They Said They Would 11/5/2011

The timing chain (belt) broke on my car. I had some ridiculous quotes to repair it. Twin towed my car and fixed it for the best price. In addition, they were VERY nice and patient in dealing with me. Highly recommend! more

I have several autos I take to this shop, forgein to domestic , they have consistently repaired the vehicles and at huge saving to what dealers want for exact same repair. I believe you cannot go wrong with this shop. more

Won't follow the law 8/30/2011

This shop doesnt follow the NC Motor Vehicle Repair Act and quotes one price then charges another. They kept my car for a week then refused to repair it when their estimate was $1000 higher than before they started the work. They ignored my requests for a written estimate, as required by law. This shop overcharges and is a waste of time. more

best transmission rebuild shop in charlotte nc 1/24/2011

no wonder this shop is called the best transmission repair in charlotte nc and transmissino king. i went in with my honda because i was missing reverse and 2nd gears. each guy at this shop was very knowledgable. they led me through the entire way my transmission was going to be rebuilt and even showed me another honda transmission they were working on. i had a coupon i found online for $200 off the rebuild and they honored it with the price. its been 3 months now since the rebuild and my transmission and car is running very smoothly. shifting is good. my car is very important to me and they took good care of it. the transmission rebuild took only 3 days. i was very impressed. more

Best Transmission Shop in Charlotte 12/15/2010

This is the best experience I have had with any auto shop in Charlotte. First off, the shop and waiting area is very clean, yet this is a very busy shop. When I walked in, there were several other people inside, two picking up their car and a few waiting for a routine service to be done. Secondly, when I brought my Honda initially to be checked out, the transmission technician took a drive with me to see what the noise was that was talking about and for me to show him the problem i was having with the gears. He reviewed everthing with me in detail and gave me a written repair estimate. I shop around whenever I make a purchase and I must say I am very impressed with this establishment. The price was good, the people are very thorough. They contacted me while the repair was being done and when it was ready for pick up we made arrangements accordingly. I've had my vehicle back now for two months. I am very pleased with everyone. This shop has won a customer for life. I will be sure to share my experience with my family and my friends. I highly reccommend this establishment.\r more
