I've been in Stoughton for 25+ years and fell in love w/Town Spa pizza when they were at the corner of Rose & Porters Streets. The pizza just hasn't been the same since they mov...

Worst customer service 3/25/2012

Worst staff members there. very rude! told us about a dozen rules that did not make sense. We had to know our whole partys order to sit?? They wouldn't let us sit without one person's order...makes no sense. Get rid of your staff re hire everyone that has a positive attitude for the business not negativity the moment you walk right in the door. Probably wont eat there again. more

Have it THEIR way... 3/20/2011

Most restaurant owners (mom and pop's like this one) go out of their way to give the customer what they want...not this place. The wait staff is so out of breath telling you what they WON''T do for you that it's a wonder they have energy to do their jobs. Town Spa Pizza WILL NOT:\r \r - Accept credit cards \r - Seat incomplete parties (yeesh! what if one party \r members is legitimately late??)\r - Mix sauces on the pizza (they don't tell you this until\r you order)\r - Make a half veggie half cheese pizza (the two sides\r won't cook evenly...)\r - Hire cordial staff\r \r Special orders DO upset them. Their pizza isn't good enough to make such demands of CUSTOMERS (who I might add are the reason they're in business). Have it their way or the highway...\r \r more

ive beeen to town spa a a fewtimes just the other day infact when i walked in the grundgy establishments ake out room i walked over to the poorly stocked beverage cooler and got a coke mosleyed over to the registers to have the take out employee neglect to make i contact with me so she could finish her papper link chain for her count down till she went to mexico.untill she loudly hollered to the back corner were 2 other empoyees were horseplaaying with there uniforms rolled up and percings uncovered to ""come help this dude:"" 1 employee replied ""iiight"" came over and said""whats up"" .......i gave my name she serched her screen then loooked puzzled and said ohh yea that was the order i got on the phone i forgot to place it in the kitchen hold upp......i waited .....20 minutes later she comes back from the back with a bag and handes it to me....in says have a nice day....pretty poor serice the take out offers is horrible and is killing the vibe for the whole restarant.if i was a cook there i would be upest at the fact there desroying the name that the cooks made throught hard work in the kitchen such a shame for the name to go under beacause poor register clerks..clean up your act townspa..remeber the rule of 10. Pros: dine in. Cons: tke out. more

Not what it used to be 3/19/2010

I asked for the onions to be cooked prior to making the pizza and I was told that ""the grill cook cooks the onions and it was too hard to give it to the pizza cook""\r \r REALLY??? is it that hard.\r \r I used to love the place...but now it is tired and so are the staff. I won't be back. Plenty of better pizza joints. Cons: If is all about pizza than why can't you get it the you want more

they do not accept plastic 9/18/2009

planned on going one night cuz the place is always jammin, but when I called they said ""no, but there's an atm in the lobby"" thanks... thats all I need to know Pros: dunno... Cons: no take plastic more

Big bad changes 7/30/2009

We used to drive out of our way for Town Spa Pizza. The last several times the pizza has taken longer than they said, and was cold and greasy. How can it be late and cold. It must be sitting on a table out back. \r \r The staff that used to be so friendly is surly and unhappy. Somethings changed over the last 2 years. more

Thier Pizza 7/5/2009

I think they have the worst, greasiest pizza you can find except for cape cod cafe. sorry for the 1 star I pressed it by accident. You pizza lovers who think that is good pizza should try APPLOL'S IN CANTON That is the best pizza and best of all they are not GREASY and the crust is light, flaky and crunch...YUMMMMMMMM. Cons: pizzas more

Incredible 4/14/2009

This pizza shop is very close to me, only about 3 miles. I have always lived close to it, and it has always been my favorite pizza. Nothing else can be said, seriously the pizza is awsome. My favorites are hamburger, linguisa, and peperoni. If you are looking for another great pizza place close to here, Deninos is great. These two places wil always be my favorite. Deninos is great, but very greasy. That doesn't bother me at all, if you can do the grease ... DEFINATELY at least give it a shot, especially hamburger Pros: Take out, and nice dine-in Cons: A little Expensive, and only take cash more

Big Bust 2/17/2009

Having been to Town Spa in the past and enjoying it, we drove for a half hour to get pizza. We haven't paid with anything but cash so it was a shock to hear that they don't take credit cards. Instead, you get to use the ATM that the Stoughton bank charges a fee of $1.50 and my bank charged $1.50. That would be fine if the prices at the Town Spa were a bargain but they aren't. A bar pizza with a topping is costing you over eight bucks. No deal there. Even still, if it were to die for then they could justify the cost and inconvenience but IT'S NOT. The pizza was way too cooked at the edge with white, floppy crust on the under side. Add to that the fact that we had a waitress with zero personality and you can guess that we won't ever go back and the advice that we have is to skip it and go some place that is at least consistent like Papa Gino's. Next time I plan on trying my hand at making one at home. It can't be worse. Pros: family oriented dining Cons: not worth the drive or the price for the substandard food more

Better than your average pizza 2/2/2009

I picked up some pizzas from Town Spa Pizza over the weekend. The one thing that I really liked about their pizzas was that they were generous with their toppings - unlike a number of national chains and local pizzerias. I did find it a little greasy, but the crust was nice and crisp (not burnt) as I had asked them for extra crispy crust. They do say (on the box) that the pizza contained MSG - just FYI. Pros: Generous toppings Cons: contains MSG more

A locals favorite! 1/11/2009

town spa is every locals favorite! from being quite the social scene on any given night, because you will most definitely run into at least one person you know, to having great deals and of course worlds best pizza [and honey mustard sauce!] town spa is the best. Pros: great service, great atmosphere, delicious food Cons: long waits on the weekends more

Over Rated 1/2/2009

I have heard a lot about Town Spa so today I took the trip from Millis over to Stoughton. I felt the pizza was very average bar pizza, not worth the price very small. I also don't feel 3 dollars for a draft is a good deal either. Same as Lynnwood's and basically the same as all the bar pizza I have tried. If you are going to go out of your way for good pizza visit Regina in the north end or make the trip to New Haven CT for some Pepe's. Also Ernesto's in the North End is also great. Pros: None really, lots of tvs.... Cons: Over rated pricey pizza more

TOWN SPA RULES 12/7/2008

grew up about 2 miles away in Sharon & have been going to the ""SPA"" ever since I can remember.a right on BAY Rd & a left on Plain St & you were there (the new one).I'll always like the original place best, although the current location has it's own charm. Whether the whole family went on Sunday nites or WE got it to go,it was always a treat. As a kid I enjoyed all the taxidermy on the walls & remember the old men sitting @ the bar drinking drafts.been to all 48 states as a truck driver @ there's some real good pizza out there, but nothing like the ""SPA"".Town Spa pizza is unique @ the best I've ever had. I recommend the double cheese @ linguica!!!!! my parents went there in the late 50's when they were dating, dad said it was cool way back then.So if you've never been ,check it out !!! Pros: best pizza on earth Cons: sometimes a line more

Best.Pizza.Ever. 8/13/2008

This is the best pizza ever made, if you get it thin crust, crispy. It's bar style pizza, the place has tons of TVs and a large round bar and 2 dining rooms. I have never had bar style pizza this good anywhere else. The Greek salads are better than Christo's too. Pros: Food Cons: Busy on weekends more

Used to be great... 4/26/2008

...back when Town Spa was over near the RR tracks.\r Since they moved to their current location on 138\r the pizza is awful. I liken it to a piece of cardboard\r with a little sauce and cheese on it. If you want good\r bar style pizza on the south shore, go over to the\r Lynwood Cafe in Randolph. They know how to do it.\r Pros: The club sandwiches are good Cons: I'd stay clear of the pizza. Yuk. more

Eat Here! No Contest .. Simply THE Best ! 1/14/2008

The BEST Pizza, hands down, no contest!\r \r Yes, I have been outside of Stoughton, outside of Massachusetts,\r outside of the North East, outside the USA.\r \r I have lived in New Jersey since 1968. I have had other Pizza.\r I have had New York City's proclaimed best. I have had Wolfgang\r Pucks in LA. I have had frozen pizza. I have had microwaved pizza.\r \r The Town Spa is so much better than any of these or the others\r around the world I have tasted!\r \r Whenever I'm back in town I go to The Spa. My wife, a Jersey Girl\r who disliked all pizza, fell in love with the Town Spa pizza. My son,\r who has done his fair share of traveling the world rates the Town Spa pizza the best he has ever had.\r \r We buy a dozen or so 1/2 cooked ""hamburg pizzas"" from The Spa\r and take them back to New Jersey where we devour them.\r \r I would think it more fair to compare plain pizzas then to eat an\r exotic topping like pineapple or BBQ chicken or mangoes.\r \r On the topic of evolution since it moved from by the police station;\r yes, I think there has been a change in the spa's ingredients or preparation. I suspect cost savings measures have had an impact. Does your local pizzeria buy 55 gallon drums of tomato paste?\r Does you local pizzeria sell as many pies on a weekend? I think not. Pros: Delicious pizza Cons: Can be cfrowed, weekends or major sporting events featuring local teams more

Greatest pizza ive ever had. 10/28/2007

I admit i havnt lived that long. But i know good food when i eat it. I drive a half hour at least twice a week to get the best pizza ive ever had. The owners are very friendly people, im friends with their grandson. The recipie hasnt changed much in their long years of service to the pizza-loving public. Right throught the door you are treated as a V.I.P. with friendly waitresses, and bartenders who are very easy to get along with. The pizzas are quick and cooked to you liking, with a large varieties of toppings. I'd recommend the Town Spa Pizza for anyone looking to enjoy good atmosphere and good food. Pros: too many to list Cons: slightly on the pricey side. more

Best Pizza ANYWHERE!! 10/28/2007

For all you people who say Town Spa isn't the best, are mistaken!!! I have grown up on Town Spa pizza as my parents grew up in Stoughton and went to school with today's owners. My husband and I now drive an hour for Town Spa pizza! I cannot even compare it with any other pizza place in the world. The french fries are awesome! You have to get a large with lots of ketchup. Town Spa should be receive some award for the best pizza in the world! Pros: Food is terrific! Cons: Wait time on weekends and cash only more
