Best

This pizza shop is very close to me, only about 3 miles. I have always lived close to it, and it has always been my favorite pizza. Nothing else can be said, seriously the pizza i...

Worst

I've been in Stoughton for 25+ years and fell in love w/Town Spa pizza when they were at the corner of Rose & Porters Streets. The pizza just hasn't been the same since they mov...

TSPA = HOME 11/9/2002

Town Spa is the BIGGEST hangout for me and my friends. We go there at least once a week. It is AMAZING! Pros: convinient location, friendly service, good food more

tspa for life 11/9/2002

i'm from stoughton ma and i just moved away (i graduated frm hs last year) and i miss tspa SO much! its by far the best pizza anywhere (and the best fries!!!!) but its not just the food that makes tspa so great, its the atmosphere, its very towny and all the kids in high school love it, its our place to go. tspa holds so many memories for us (class of '02)...so check it out! and dont' forget to get the fries (just not from take out) :) more

Best Pizza 11/6/2002

Best Pizza. I've been going there since I was a kid and I haven't found a better pizza yet. Pros: best pizza ever Cons: smoky even in non-smo more

nobody beats the spa pizza 11/5/2002

Town Spa should be number 1 on the list. Evidently more people need to try this place. They will change their tune. Pros: plenty of parking Cons: crowded more

Cheap(: 11/5/2002

The pizza is definately an aquired taste. Most would not like it. The dining area ambience is only slightly better than a McDonalds. The service is better at McDonalds. The owner must be to cheap to have enough wait staff. You better order everything you want at one time because you won't see anyone until its time to pay. The bar area and take out is your best bet. The chicken with honey mustard sauce is pretty good when they cook it through. Pros: inexpensive Cons: bad service, no credit cards more

BEST PIZZA EVER!!!! 11/5/2002

I have been going to the Town Spa for 20yrs. IT is by far the best pizza around. Its ""bar"" style pizza is far superior to any others. I once met a guy on a plane going to Calif. He said he was from Ohio, and when I told him where I was from he asked me if that was near Stoughton, and if so, if I had ever gone to the Town Spa. I Love Town Spa... more

it's the Spa 11/4/2002

I have to agree with anyone who says that the Spa is different from when it was on porter st. but its still the spa and still make the same pizza it did 20 years ago! I liked it then and I like it now! more

ahh the good old days 11/1/2002

While I agree with the notion that the spa has gone downhill since leaving its old abode, it is still one of the best. I have been going to the spa since I was knee high. The problem now is inconsistency! I would say 3 out 10 are as good as they ever were, 5 of 10 are excellent but not old school spa and then there are those last 2 of 10 that is giving the spa some bad reviews(still good). The sauce and crust is what makes the spa pizza divine. The crust is supposed to be thin and crisp, sometimes though the crust gets puffy absorbing the sauce, causing loss of flavor/texture. Done right the sauce and cheese compliment nicely and the edge crust is the prefect foil, to this smooth delight. For those that feel the old flavor is lost try going for the extra sauce. more

Not all that good 11/1/2002

I had to eat Town Spa pizza every Friday during Lent growing up. I didn't like then and I like even less now. I think the sauce that is used on the pizza lacks any character or flavor. Very Oily. I would not recommend this to anyone. Cons: Bad Parking, Crowded, Bad Food more

WICKEDLY BAD 11/1/2002

I was born and raised in Boston, my family still lives in Stoughton. Let me tell you, that pizza is some of the worst pizza I've ever had in the entire United Stated. Unfortunetly I've been dragged there several times YUK! Pros: they have beer Cons: pizza, pizza, pizza more

Always the best! 10/31/2002

I have been a long time customer of the Spa since elementary school and they have ALWAYS had incredible pizza. The linguica is very yummy as well as the ham and pineapple!! Pros: great prices, great food, fun atmosphere Cons: No credit cards, small bev. glasses more

A small town treasure 10/31/2002

This pizza is so good that once people have had it they will often travel long distances to have it again. Very consistent preparation with fresh tastes and all the classic topping combinations. Not typical in terms of cheese, but very typical in terms of crispness to the crust, sauce and toppings. My vote for best in Mass. more

I work there for a reason. 10/30/2002

I grew up as a little kid on this pizza. As soon as I could get a get a job, I went there. I work there and eat it all the time, and I never get sick of the food. It's great! The bar area has charm. Pros: Good food Cons: Expensive at $6/pizza, Bad service more

I'm not sharing! 10/14/2002

My second favorite pizza in the world (my first is in Germany, of all places!). It's been consistently good for the 16 years that I've been eating there. Although my motto has always been ""It's always better when you share"", that is not the case with Town Spa! Don't even THINK about touching my pizza...get your own or go hungry! And although I'm not a big fan of cold pizza, Town Spa pizza is even delicious that way! Pros: Delicious Pizza, Great salads, Lively bar area Cons: Over-worked waitresse, Noisy, Too many kids more

What's All The Fuss??? 10/13/2002

The first time I tried Town Spa's pizza, I gave it a five out of ten. It was bland, common, run-of the mill pizza you could get anywhere. However, each time I passed by their crowded parking lot, it made me think I had overlooked something. So I gave it a second and even a third chance. Sorry, no change in my opinion. Their pizza is not good -- it's not bad. It's simply mediocre. Pros: nothing bad Cons: nothing good more

Old was better... 9/24/2002

Spa pizza is still good, but it does lack the great taste it had when it was a smaller place in the center of town. I would give it a 10 way back then but now it's about a 6. I don't know what changed, maybe becoming a bigger business caused them to slack off. Or maybe it's owned by someone else? Haven't eaten there in a while but the last time I was less than impressed. Pros: Pizza is still good., reasonable prices, family resturaunt Cons: Was A LOT better, too far from home now, something changed..?? more

The best pizza south of Boston! 9/4/2002

Town Spa has great pizza!! There really isn't much else that needs to be said, their pizza is simply great! more

You can eat a whole pie yourself! 8/13/2002

When you go to the Town Spa, you don't split pizzas. Everone gets their own with any of their many toppings to choose from. And you will finish the entire pizza. I don't know whether its the unique sauce or the delicious fresh cheese, but it is damn good! Try the burnt crust for a change. I recommend the jalopenos for a topping! Pros: good value, good parking, great atmosphere Cons: no credit cards more

Spa Rules 8/13/2002

I travel and hour to go to Spa every weekend. The pizza is great, I get mine crispy. Enough to eat half and take half home. Start off with fries or the sampler. Or if you are being good, Spa has great salad. Eat on the bar side if you want to watch sports on the big screen. Eat in the right dining room if you are a large group with kids. Great for families, friends and dates. And rent out the downstairs for a get together. You can never have too much Spa. Pros: good parking, lots of seating, inexpensive Cons: Lent fridays busy, busy weekends more

Love the Spa 8/8/2002

By far the best pizza I've ever had. Too bad its in Stoughton. more
