Signing up for the Bootcamp was a gig deal for me, a big investment. After I did it, I got nervous, wondering if I did the right thing. But after the first day of class I knew I m...

I agree....the owner is an absolute idiot!!!! He doesn't give the students the time of day. And is always in a bad mood.....he needs to remember it is the students who are paying ...

If you have never studied Meisner before and you're curious about it, or if you're looking for a positive environment to continue your study of the technique, you will find a welcoming home at the Acting Corps. Be ready to work hard, learn a lot, and have a wild ride. They throw you in the deep end of Meisner, and you WILL swim! more

I love this school! There are great classes, wonderful teachers and much access to industry professionals. Whether you are new to acting or have been doing it for years, the Acting Corps will get you on track. I got into their five day a week evening Boot Camp program. I found a home at the school and was encouraged all along to be a better actor, and a better person. I have discovered who I am and what I truly want from my acting career. The teachers are very supportive and they pushed me to reach my highest potential. It's a lot of fun, but also a lot of hard work. more

I completely agree with Andrew P. I am currently taking The Advanced Program and I cant tell you how much I've already learned in the two Boot Camp programs. I have taken many acting classes over the past 5 years, studied with many different acting teachers but this is by far the best class i have ever taken.\r \r Countless friends told me to study at the acting corps, and I am so glad I listened to them. They has been in the business for many years and encourage their students, but not in a coddling sort of was, but never disrespectful either (wish I could say that about other people I've studied with). more

I signed up for a BC1 (Boot Camp I) and didn't turn back. I completed both Boot Camps. The Advanced Program, and am in the Master Class. I just couldn't get enough of it. God, where to start with all that I learned - summing this up in a few words is impossible and I should say that everything I learned was invaluable and continues to evolve because of the nature of the material. I'm just going to say that it's a great school, and I encourage everyone to check them out. more

Because of the training at The Acting Corps, I am confident enough to walk into any audition and give it my all. I could never thank them enough for their incredible knack for getting the most out of me, and helping me believe that I could actually do this. They have the best teachers. more

A Magical place. Bonus points to anyone that gets the inside joke there in reference to my user name. But in all seriousness, I really do adore this school. It was hard work, but I loved it. There were days that I left class feeling like crap, days that I failed. When my scene did not come out as I had hopes, or when I just wasn't there during Meisner, but by the end, I left feeling great. There is always room for improvement, but not as much room as there used to be! Now that I am no longer in class, I miss it! I don't know what to do with all my time! Between the actual classes and meeting with my scene partner, it's a lot of work, but the pay off was worth it. Great teachers, great facilities. The office staff was nice and helpful. I guess that's all. more

I loved this school, so I feel I should write something rather then just clicking the thumbs-up. Great teachers, great classes, the location is nice. I worked every class, none of this watching other people Bull$h!t. On my feet, working every single class. I feel this school does not trade on it's name (or the name of the teachers), but just has a solid program that will teach those who want to learn. more

I came from Iowa to California, and I ended up at The Acting Corps after being in town a few months. I count myself among the lucky that I did. I loved the program, and while I know that I still have a long way to go and a lot to learn, I don't think I could have gotten off to a better start. more

I'm around thirty years old, and I was a latecomer to the acting game. Some of my friends said that I was too old, and I must confess that I was a bit out of place with a class full of younger kids. But I learned was that Having a could years of the others set me apart a bit, and talent is talent. I learned so much at the Acting Corps, and in the month and a half that followed my time there, I have been booking like a madman. I didn't really have any classes before them, so I can honestly say that I have them to thank for all my success. more

Yes, I liked them very much. No, I do not have anything negative to say. Yes, you should check them out. i am not one to write a massive paragraph about my experiences, but in appreciation of the great training they gave me, I will do my best to pitch them to the YP readers. \r \r Their program is built upon a Meisner base, which I had been exposed to before in a small way, but I hadn't really gone there until I went to the Acting Corps. I feel it really changed how I saw things. And unlike some Meisner programs, they also do scene work, so it's not just theoretical, and they do it from the start, week one. And though Meisner is great, it's not with it's all about, they have mixed in all sorts of other tools into the scene work classes, including Michael Chekhov.\r \r As I said, I am not one to pontificate, so I think I'll leave it at that. Check them out. more

This is an awesome school. I thought I was a good actor when I went there, but I quickly realized that I wasn't as good as I thought. After taking the Boot Camp 1 and Boot Camp II, my acting is so much better and I have booked an agent, and then booked sever good roles. At this rate,m I'll be a working actor in no time! more

This is a great place to study. The teachers are spectacular, the classes are intense, and the results are very obvious. I saw all my classmates improve so much. And so did I. If you want to be an actor, you should go to this school, seriously. more

I am a great actor,I was great before I went to the Acting Corps, but I have to admit that I did a learn a few things, and I am even better now. The process of learning is never complete, and I was lucky to discover them. The teachers know what they are talking about. This is not one of those schools that has a big name teacher that they use to sell the school, it IS a school that has teachers that know the craft, and know how to teach it to others. It's about the work. If you come in ready to learn something new, you will. It's a great place and everyone reading this review should go there. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. more

I completed Boot Camp 1, Boot amp II, and The Advanced Program. After I did this, I was lucky enough to take pat in an showcase for agents. There were about thirty of them there. That's right, thirty! And these were good agents! The schools owner, Eugene, really pout together a great event. And the best part is that I was called in for meeting with to of them, and I now have an agent. This is a major step in becoming a working actor. I have a lot to thank the Acting Corps for. Thanks. more
