Best

I have been eating at Sushi Thai for over 10 years now. I have also eaten sushi all over the Triangle, as well as the world. The quality of food/service is as good now, as day one...

Worst

The food is good, the service is ok, the prices are high and your kids are NOT welcome here! Cons: Not kid friendly, overpriced, staff not friendly

Best of the Best 5/27/2004

I have traveled from the west to east coast of the U.S. and I have to say the Sushi-Thai is the best I have personally tasted for both sushi and Thai food. They have turned my wife into a sushi lover (which if you new my wife you'd say "that's amazing"). In addition to the food, these are some of the very best people I have ever met. They will go out of their way to make your experience a great one. Make sure to try the AJ roll, a new item on the menu. Pros: fresh ingredients, large portions, excellent service more

Above average lunch experience 4/5/2004

I ate lunch at Sushi Thai Cary yesterday and got the Sushi Mori lunch special. Came with a tuna roll and 6 pieces of sushi, plus soup for $8 bucks. The owner gave me two extra pieces of sushi, and everything tasted very fresh. The sushi was cut larger than other sushi restuarants I've dined at and I was very pleased overall with the experience. Pros: larger sushi pieces, value lunch specials, fresh sushi Cons: , location, location more

Top Service 1/28/2004

We have been going to this restaurant for two years now. The food is very good. The service is outstanding. We have established a friendship relationship with the crew due to their pleasantness. They are very concerned about the service and quality of their food. Pros: Top Service, Excellent Food, Good Parking more

not kid friendly? are your kids wild? 1/11/2004

i have been going to sushi thai in cary since they opened over 5 years ago. i go atleast once a month and have never had any problems with service. i have 2 children(one 2 and one 8) and they are always treated well by the staff of sushi thai. the food and service is always great but one of the main reasons we continue to go back is b/c my children love to eat there. the wait staff and sushi chefs are always nice to my children and even know the kids names(however they dont know my name) the owner is a very friendly person but is not exactly the most outgoing person you will run into. if you like sushi, thai, or japanese foods and have kids, this would be a great place to take your family for your next "family night" Pros: great staff/service, awesome menu more

NOT Kid Friendly! 11/3/2003

The food is good, the service is ok, the prices are high and your kids are NOT welcome here! Cons: Not kid friendly, overpriced, staff not friendly more

Overpriced letdown 8/21/2003

I've tried several dishes from several parts of the menu. All were overpriced and average. The Thai curries were ok, but relative to Sawasdee et. al., should be considered awful. The sushi was better, but Sushi Blues tastes better. The stir-fries were fine, but no better than an average restaurant. Nice atmosphere and service, but for the price I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but the curious... better can be had at other restaurants. Pros: atmosphere, location, service Cons: overpriced, food is just ok more

Closed Kitchen! 8/16/2003

We arrived for dinner at 9, had our meal and were ready for dessert only to find that the kitchen had closed on us while we ate. There was no warning, no last calls. Our food was great and the service was ok, but we were kind of looking forward to a certain dessert. I find it bad buissiness to close the kitchen on people you have decided to seat, it's not like this is a fast food place. more

Frequent place to eat 3/7/2003

Sushi bar sets the atmosphere for great food. Restaurant is clean and the sushi is not packed with a ton of rice and the portions are well sized. Service has always been good and regularly eat there. Pros: Good sushi, atmosphere more

A great meal, but $pend to get it 12/31/2002

The decor is great and the food ain't bad either, but it's a bit on the expensive side. A great place to go once in a while, but save up for it! Pros: Atmosphere, variety, service Cons: price, price, price more

Couldn't have been better 5/27/2002

The atmosphere at Sushi-Thai in Cary is very pleasant and the service is very friendly. The food was wonderful. My boyfriend and I had a few different appetizers, some Japanese and some Thai, and we ordered one Thai entree and shared it. It is great that they have two cuisines in one restaurant. The food couldn't have been more delicious. I have never written a review for a restaurant, but felt compelled to tell others about what a fabulous experience it was dining there. It is now one of my favorite restaurants. A few dishes I would recommend are the Pad Thai, Chicken Satay, and Green tea ice cream. Another is an app. that has beef wrapped around asparagus. Pros: Inexpensive, Great Variety, Friendly service more
