Best

I have been eating at Sushi Thai for over 10 years now. I have also eaten sushi all over the Triangle, as well as the world. The quality of food/service is as good now, as day one...

Worst

The food is good, the service is ok, the prices are high and your kids are NOT welcome here! Cons: Not kid friendly, overpriced, staff not friendly

Good food, Azn service. 9/25/2007

the ambiance kind of sucks and the service isn't the greatest, but I can eat the hell out of their sushi. it is good. more

Great Place for Sushi 9/14/2007

This is a great place for Sushi in the Triangle. The lunch specials are great and the value for dinner is worth it as well. Great ambiance and very friendly staff. Recommended for sushi nuts as well as first timers. Pros: Great Sushi, Value and Ambiance. Cons: None found yet. more

Kid friendly to normal children 8/4/2007

The family that went there on July 29, 2006 and said it was not kid friendly were wrong. Everyone in the restaurant applauded when they were kicked out. We were nearby and their kids were screaming, kicking, and throwing things. They were little monsters and spoiled our otherwise great meal! This is a restaurant that loves most children. Pros: fresh food Cons: sometimes crowded more

Always Fresh & Great Service! 7/28/2007

I have been a customer of Sushi Thai Cary for years. I continue to try new sushi/thai resturant, but am always left wishing I had gone to Sushi Thai Cary. The staff is always courteous and the food is always delious! Try it once and you, yourself will become a loyal customer. Pros: CustomerService, Food, Ambience more

Consistently excellent food and service at Sushi-Thai in Cary 7/19/2007

Have eaten dinner with Sushi-Thai in Cary (dine in or take out) for many years now. Have never had a bad meal. Am not a sushi eater, but love the Thai and/or Japanese dishes there. The wonderful owners know how to offer top notch service and a warm welcome every time I go. The teriyaki dishes, the pad Thai and all the delicious appetizers, including the Ebi Ten (sp?) are ALWAYS good. Yes it is somewhat expensive - but you get what you pay for - the value of the good food and excellent service here is worth the price - every time! Cary is very fortunate to have a neighborhood restaurant of the qualiity of Sushi-Thai! Pros: Excellence in food and service - consistently! Cons: crowded - (not really a con) -do take out those times more

Best Sushi in the Triangle 6/21/2007

Sushi-Thai Cary provides the best creations and freshest sushi to the table every time I go, which is once a week. I have always enjoyed every dish, including all Thai food they serve. Personally, I recommend the Mary roll and pudding roll (last is not on the menu, and no it's not made with pudding). Best Thai food I have had there is the Spicy Basil. Pros: Fresh, Bright, Creative Cons: Location, Seating for large groups, Relatively Expensive more

A Rare restaurant that offers the best of both worlds 6/5/2007

The food is so delicious. I've been their numerous times over the past four years and every time I've gone for dinner, there has always been a crowd at the restaurant. Don't be bogged down by a few bad reviews. You can always judge a restaurant by how busy they consistently are. The fish in the sushi is always fresh because you can tell by the color of the dark red tuna and the vibrant color of the raw salmon. I have absolutely no complaints with their sushi. As for their thai food, I've yet to have a thai dish that I haven't enjoyed. Their pad thai and duck dishes are incredibly tasty. Pros: Great food Cons: Service more

Gotta be kidding me 6/5/2007

For all you sushi newbies, sushi and Thai does NOT mix. It is a way for non-Japanese restaurants to increase spending per customer, since sushi commands a high price relative to cost. Pros: Can serve people who are confused about Asian cuisine Cons: The Real Thai and Sushi are served elsewhere more

Great sushi, good service, nice place 4/11/2007

This is a nice place for sushi. I am very picky about my sushi so I wouldn't say it is the *BEST* sushi in town but it is always fresh and I have not been disappointed. They have a great lobster in martini glass dish that is very good. I think you will definitely enjoy it. Love the waiters & service. Good choice. Pros: sushi Cons: wait time more

Excellent Everything 3/25/2007

Sushi-Thai has the best sushi in the area. Their service is impeccable and their attention to all aspects of the customers experience is exemplary. Extremely fine-dining. There is a usual wait on busy nights, but that is expected for a restaurant like this. more

Wonderful Decor, Food, and Staff 12/22/2006

I ate there with my son last night. He wanted to try something new. Not sure if he liked the saki! The sushi and sashimi were excellent. I like traditional japanese food and he wanted something Thai HOT! So we both got what we wanted. The food was really great, and it was brought out as soon as it was cooked. The service there is truly amazing! The staff all work together to help each other and get the food and service to the customer. What a concept! It was really great to be treated so well. And the decor, the boat designs are truly unique. The place is so clean and really nice. We really had a great time. I highly recommend going here for the food, atmosphere, service. Pros: Wonderful Food, Awesome Service Cons: none! more

Way below par 11/15/2006

If you're looking for good sushi, this isn't the place. I'm Japanese, I know Japanese food. The sushi at this place won't pass Japanese tongue. more

Best Sushi in town! 11/10/2006

We dine at Sushi Thai once a week. The staff is very friendly and always seem happy to see us. The food is always fresh and delicious! The Tai is wonderful aswell. We highly recommend them. Pros: Always a great meal Cons: Maybe a wait during peak hours. more

Busy, best sushi and Thai 10/10/2006

This is truly the Best in the Tringle and Best of Cary! I highly recommend Sushi-Thai, for lunch and dinner. Sushi is served in large quantities, even in boats. I recommend the Deep Fried Bagel, the Mary Roll, and the French and Dragon Rolls. The service is excellent, and the waiters are friendly. I actually had Sushi-Thai today for lunch. Pros: Good, clean and friendly service. Cons: Busy more

Love It! Love It! Love It! 9/4/2006

This is a great small sushi restuarant. We go there about 2 times a month. The staff is so friendly and they always remember us. John even named a roll after me b/c I'm picky and want to add or take things from the listed menu, so he created my own roll and always remembers how to make it. They have even gotten me to try new items by giving me just a little taste here or there, some good, some I'm just not brave enough to try (I'm still new at sushi). My fiance even proposed to me there in July. We are hooked! It's like visting old friends every time we walk through the door. Pros: Friendly staff, great sushi, good family restaurant (older kids) and great first date place Cons: crowded on the weekends more

Toddlers and Infants? 7/29/2006

I go to this resturant nearly every week with my family. I was there last night when the prior review was written. The review failed to mention the fact that their child was disrupting the atmosphere of the resturant as well as banging plates and silverware on the table. Although I agree it is difficult to control your young children, it is still the responsibility of the parent to make sure they do not ruin the atmosphere of a resturant. I have gone to Sushi-Thai Cary since my little sister was an infant and whenever she got rowdy my parents would take her outisde. This resturant has always served excellent food as well as well as being a great place for kids. The have a great little tradition for birthdays with a gong as well as doing a good job to accomodate children who do not yet share their parent's exotic taste in dining. It is true this is not the place to go if your children tend to be loud and rambuntious; let them go to a Chuck-E-Cheese not a resturant more

Great for Children 7/29/2006

This is in response to another review. We have been eating at Sushi Thai for many years. We have three children and have been eating at this establishment since my 6-year old was a toddler. They are very courteous to us and our children every time we visit. We love the food and atmosphere and we love the staff. I think that maybe the other reviewer may need to understand that it is a public place and the restaurant needs to be kind to all of their customers. If a child is causing too much of a tantrum, try your food to go..... Pros: Great Sushi and staff Cons: None more

AVOID IT COMPLETELY IF GOING WITH TODDLEERS AND INFANTS 7/29/2006

THEY HAVE THE WORST MANNERS AND ARE EXTREMELY RUDE. WE WENT WITH OUR toddler and infant and they wanted them to remain calm. When we reminded them they were kids the management asked us to leave........... more

It's like Norm walking into Cheers 7/24/2006

I eat in or order takeout 2-4 times a week. The food and service are always fabulous. It's great to walk into such place where they know your name and are always glad to see you... Pros: My favorite restaurant. Cons: They don't deliver. more

Good times and great food. 1/23/2006

Whenever I want to show friends or family a great time at a friendly restaurant I take them to Sushi Thai in Cary. I have been dining there for lunch and dinner for about 2 years now. The service is great the food is exquisite and the atmosphere is superb. The staff always has a warming friendly smile which makes dining most pleasant. Pros: Food, service/staff, locale more
