I always hesitate taking my vehicles to Dealerships as the prices are typically much higher than non-dealerships and the quality of the work performed is lower. I was in for a surprise this time when I took my 2012 Tucson in for it's 15,000 mile service. I brought in the Mobil 1 100%synthetic oil, noN back-flow oil filter, air filter and cabin filter. I had watched a Youtube video on how to change your own cabin air filter. It looked pretty simple on the video, but you never know. Additionally, some Hyundai forums stated the cabin filters don't really need to be changed as often as Hyundai recommends. I told Ron I was curious what my cabin filter looked like and could the mechanics save the old filter for me to look at so I could see for myself. Ron did better than that. He walked out to my car and changed the cabin air filter himself. He showed me how to drop-down my glove box to get to the cabin filter. Then he pulled my old cabin filter out. Was the forum right or Hyundai??? Well, my filter was FILTHY and I take really good care of my vehicle. It is cleaned regularly and garaged. I was rsurprised. Thanks to RON actually taking time to TEACH me something about my Hyundai, it made my trip much more interesting and fun. Plus, he didn't charge me the $35 for the mechanics to do something so simple. Therefore, even though Hyundai may have lost the $35, thanks to Ron they have now gained a loyal customer. I will be back to spend my money at this Dealership if Ron is my Service Manager. Well done, Ron!! (P.S. I am also now looking at buying a Santa Fe Turbo. I took a test drive with Xavier when I was waiting for my Tucson). more

My thoughts 5/15/2015

Your staff handled my needs with professional yet personal attendance. I feel I received excellent service, however, I am very disappointed on the services that are no longer part of the package service program I received when I first brought my car to you for service. Those things that are no longer offered as part of the service: car wash and tire rotation. Why should I drive out of my way to take my vehicle to your dealership when I can get one of these services done for free and I could was my own car??? Just thought I'd share these thoughts with you. Brought my 2012 Sonata in because after it has been parked for two or more days without driving the battery is drained. Over the past year it has happened 3 different times. The first time I replaced the battery and the next two times I had it jumped and the car worked fine until I left it for a few days again. A couple of months ago I took it to Stockton Hyundai and they kept it over night and said they narrowed it down to a loose fuse box that was draining the battery. Then a month and a half later I went out of town and when I came back my car wouldn't start. I jumped it and took it to the dealer. They kept my car for 4 days so they could let the car sit and see what was happening. On day three they called me and told me it wouldn't start but they said it wouldn't start because the mechanic left the keys in the ignition. He told me that next time the battery dies bring it to they and they will give it a look. I thought I was brining it to the dealer because they were the experts on the brand. I am very disappointed in the service I got. There was also an issue with the check engine light coming on because of an evap system code but they couldn't tell me what was actually happening to make the check engine light come on. I eventually had three things fixed hoping that it was one of those pieces. So far the light has not come back on. I am so unsatisfied with the service I received. I will be going on vacation this summer and it sucks to know that I will come home to a dead car. more
