My girlfriends and I went to STK last night and had the best experience I've ever had at a restaurant in LA. The atmopshere was great, they have the best vibe down to a perfection. I ordered steak that came out perfectly cooked and could not keep my hands off the sweet corn pudding we ordered and had to order more!! Try the truffle fries they are also irrestible. I had the brule for dessert which was absolutely amazing! The service was fast and very friendly. We will definitely be returning! Soon! Pros: atmosphere, food, service more

I WAS AT STK TONIGHT... SERVICE SEEMED PRETTY GOOD. IT'S A VERY CROWDED, RATHER SMALL PLACE WITH NOT MUCH SEATING. THE FOOD WAS PRETTY GOOD. NOTHING TOO SPECIAL. THE CLUB COCO DE VILLE IS SOO NOT EVEN WORTH SEEING. THE VALET PARKING IS SOOOOOOOOO BAD. IT TAKES VERY VERY VERY VERY! LONG TO GET YOUR CAR... AFTER MANY TIMES OF ASKING/COMPLAINING.. WAITING OUT IN THE COLD WITH EVERYONE ELSE. PEOPLE WERE TAKING CABS HOME & LEAVING THEIR CARS THERE, IT WAS SO BAD. THE VALET ATTENDANTS WERE NICE, BUT SOOO SLOW. REALLY, DON'T LEAVE YOUR CAR WITH THE VALET, OR... GIVE YOUR TICKET TO THEM RIGHT ABOUT WHEN YOU GET YOUR FOOD... THEN BY THE TIME YOU GET OUT OF THE RESTAURANT, YOUR CAR MIGHT ARRIVE. Stk is a beautiful and efficient restaurant with an extremely friendly staff. I recently had dinner here with my boyfriend and overall we enjoyed our experience. In fact, he said that it was the best steak he had ever had. And although the bill can add up depending on what you order, you can enjoy a meal here without breaking the bank. Sides are big enough to share and we ordered the mac and cheese, which unfortunately looked better than it tasted. Another con was that the tables were too close together, so we felt as though we were eating with other people. And although the staff for the most part was extremely accommodating, our server acted like he had better things to do than wait tables. i recently went into STK (within the last week), and i had to write a truthful and fantasic review. \r I LOVED IT!!!!\r I went on a thursday night, and wasn't expecting anything great considering that our reservation was earlier on in the evening but, i was wrong.\r i will be honest, i went there soley to people watch because i heard all of the buzz about celebrity sighting and what not, completley was not expecting to have a wonderful meal and experience at he same time.\r i went with a few friends, our reservation was at 7:30, we were a bit late so we had to wait for our table.... no worries, we were late. so, we enjoyed some cocktails at the bar in the mean time, i had a ""gin fizz"", all i have to say is WOW. my girlfriend had a strawberry cobbler, again she was raving about it. we waited about 20 min for our table, but it was worth the wait. our party of five was seated in a georgeous room with white walls and intricate details, beautiful. our server Boots, was totally cool with us and very informative about everything on the menu. i loved that she was so friendly yet professional at the same time, i thought in a swanky place like that it would be different, but no way. for starters we split the jumbo lump salad and the foi gras french toast, both were amaizing.... on to our salad. i will go back any day for the arugula salad. i had the fish special for my entree and side of mac n cheese and cauliflower was again split at the table. i left stuffed and happy, the bill was reasonable for five people and i have been back since (that salad was soooo good ((what can i say?i'm a girl?))\r \r i also forgot to add a very importtant part... i did get to see some stars!!!\r all in all, consider me a regular. I was quite shocked to read the most recent reviews. My friends and I are frequent diners here and it gets better every time. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. The waiter we had last time we went was also very handsome which was definitely a plus. He provided exceptional service which just made the night even better. I tend to stick to what I'm familiar with, but this time I took suggestions from our server and was delightfully suprised enjoying everything he recommended. I knew this was a trendy spot, but i also heard it was a great steak place. The decor was nice...nothing outstanding. Service a little pretentious. Celebrity sighting is a given. Bar area was small and packed.\r We made last min. resv. and were seated 30 min earlier =) on a Friday night. \r Be careful not to get stuck in the tiny 2 seater tables...they stink! Also i felt that they should have table clothes...the pleather-like tables are horrible.\r THE FOOD.... All of us got a Steak. Very good. The sides are horrible....yuck. What a delight to be able to make reservations on a Sunday night that day and still be taken earlier.\r My girlfriends birthday was that night and since she is a big Steak Lover, this was an ideal place to try.\r I kept it as a surprise and when we were looking for the place, she kept saying "" at least give me a hint, so I know what to look for"" I said "" Look for TMZ and the paparazzi. My friends and I are only visitors but we do visit LA quite frequently. We had dinner here a few days ago and it was a fantastic experience. We arrived a little bit early so we headed to the bar for a drink. There was plenty of eye candy and fun people to mingle with. After we were seated, we enjoyed fantastic appetizers and amazing entrees. The roasted garlic potatoes were my favorite and my filet was amazing! my friends and i went to STK the other night for dinner. it is definitely the scene in la. the food was great and the service was exceptional. I am surprised by some of the reviews I have read. although it was a bit of a wait to be seated, that's what happens when a place is popular; it is to be expected in a new, trendy restaurant with a great reputation. i find it shocking that a few people said they felt rushed, when my friends and I felt the opposite. i could have dined and relaxed there all night long. regardless, i really enjoyed the jumbo lump crab salad and the porter house steak. the music was fresh and enjoyable and worked well with the trendy environment. my boyfriend and i ate at STK last week and i must say that the experience was fantastic. there was a slight wait for our table but, the front of house staff were very polite and informative. we enjoyed a cocktail at the bar until we were ready to be seated. our server, Rachel, was incredibly friendly and her service was quick and efficient. i had the snapper entree, and my boyfriend had the bone in filet. both were cooked to perfection. everything on the menue is served family style so for our sides we had the phenominal mac-n-cheese, and the cauliflower. yum!!! we will definanty be back for another fantastic experience. I am originally from Austin, Texas. I was on holiday in LA and was recommended to eat at STK by a friend. My friend, who travels a lot keeps my husband and I up to date with the hippest, delicious restaurants across the world. When he recommended STK I knew it would be another great choice. The ambiance was truly incredible. The mix between the loungy/laid back feel and the high paced, uber trendy cosmopolitan environment was truly an experience. Besides the fantastic environment, the delicious food cannot go unmentioned. I would especially recommend the Big Eye Tuna. It was mouth watering. The sides, and deserts were just as great. In my opinion, it does not matter what the ambiance of the restaurant is like, nor the food if the service is terrible, but STK was top notch on service as well. friend of mine had stopped in last week and highly recommended it. trusting him, i made reservations for this weekend and had an amazing time. the decor is impeccable! it is definitely one of the most gorgeous restaurants i have ever dined in. i thought the staff was very kind and friendly. our server was knowledgeable and made great reccomendations. the truffle fries were delicious and their jumbo lump crab was to die for. i was surprised at how well a steak house prepared fish. having knowledge about the restaurant business i understand why they may ask some taables to move or seem like they are rushing but it is common and everyone should get over that! more

Some friends of mine that I havent seen in awhile were coming into town, so I wanted to go to a really great place. I heard some amazing things about STK from some friends, so I decided to check it out. It defintiely lived up to every expectation I had! The beef tartare was phenomenal! My filet was cooked perfectly and was probably one of the best steaks I have ever had! I also ordered a side of the caramilized onions to put on the steak which brought out such a fantastic taste! I had truffle fries and the mac n cheese as my sides and both were out of this world! The warm penut butter cup dessert was the perfect ending! Everything I had was beyond delicious. Besides the food being perfect, the scene was incredible. Great music and bar area, and they have quite a celeb scene as well. Overall, amazing experience! I reccommend everyone try it! more

We went to STK to try to catch a glimpse of celebs and saw no one but it was a Sunday. Other than that, our server was great (Jason) and the food was wonderful. Try the doughnuts! Very good steaks - cannot say Mastro's, CUT or any of the other usual suspects does it better. Appetizers we great; Foie Gras on French toast, Crab Salad (very refreshing). I was in town visiting a girlfried, and after shopping on Robertson (love that Surly Girl store!) we decided to get a nice juicy steak. STK was perfect. Great atmoshphere and reasonably priced for the quality. Stay away from the french fries...dry and too salty.\r \r more

these are some of the best digs and finest food in town. i have eaten here many times and have yet to have a bad experience. more
