By far the worst experience I have ever encountered with a business and/or body shop. I thought I was making a smart decision by taking my Audi to a body shop that specialized in repairing Audis & Porsches, not to mention it had been referred to me by an Audi dealership in the area; little did I realize this decision would turn out to be an enormous mistake. A repair that should have taken, at most one month, turned into four. I would call the shop constantly to see how my car was coming along; they never once called me of their own accord to update me, and could never give me a time frame of completion. Once I started to encounter problems and reported them to my insurance company, my insurance co. informed me that they had numerous records of this particular shop falsifying repair work. When I went into the rental car business next to Sterling over a month after dropping off my car, several of the employees began telling me of all the irate customers they had seen come out of Sterling. One girl said, "I feel so bad for people when they come here to rent a car after taking their own to Sterling, they are not going to get their vehicle back for a long time." Sterling Collision came up with every excuse in the book as to why my car was not complete months later. It was only after I had an attorney contact Sterling that my car was miraculously finished. But Sterling still insisted on payment of an unreasonable amount from my insurance company and would not release my vehicle. I filed a report with the BBBureau along with the Bureau of Automotive Repair. A quick call from the BBBureau to the shop was all it took for my car to suddenly become available for pickup and the amount my insurance co. was willing to pay, become acceptable. I implore you, take your car anywhere else!
