I think these guys write their own reviews. They did my carpet and the carpets were left soaked for two days and most of the pet stains came back when the carpet was finally dry. I called to complain and was promised a refund but I never received it. more

The BEST!!!!!!!!! Incredible job!!!!!. My carpet now looks brand new! It's perfect!!!! I was embarressed to even call about getting it clean- there were so many stains, and it was really dirty- thought I should just have it replaced,?Jean Fletcher , my real estate agent referred me to Steam Machine. She has used them over 40 time and she said she was never let dow. I WAS ALSO not let down, these guys are the best. I do give Steam Machine a 5 star rating , HANDS DOWN! more

BOY WAS I DUMB!!!! Hi All, I had received a quote of $260 from Steam Machine Carpet Care and booked with them. Then I received a quote of $185 from J& D Carpet Cleaning. When J & D arrived, the lead carpet cleaner John Slater, informed me that the price would be $395!!!! NOT THE $185 that was quoted!!!!!!!! John Slater, informed me that PRE SPRAY, CLOSETS, HALLWAYS, STAINS, CARPET PROTECTION, CONDITIONER are NOT included in the price. When I told him that the guy I spoke with on the phone said these items were all included, John Slater just laughed and told me that NO OTHER COMPANY would do all that for such a crazy price! (as he and his assistant rolled out the large cleaning hoses throughout my house! I kindly asked them to leave and they both began to put very HIGH PRESSURE on me to pay them the $385 because they already unloaded the equipment before I gave them approval to do the project.. After 30 minutes of trying to get them out of my house, my husband Ted came home and they left fast! ( Ted is 6""5"" 275 ) !! I then called back STEAM MACHINE, they laughed and told me that several companies play the old ""Bait and Switch"" game! I rescheduled with Steam Machine, Tom and his crew arrived on time, did everything they agreed to do for the $260 price they quoted me the week before! These guys were friendly and very honest to me, they also did a fine cleaning job. Please be very careful of a low price, you know the old saying, if the price is too good to be true, it isn't !!!! more

GREAT! just GREAT!!!!!! 5/2/2012

What more can I say about this company but GREAT! What a good job they did in my home today. I had 7 rooms, 2 sets of stairs, 3 hallways for only $265!!!! That other national company wanted to charge me $428, you know the guys with those yellow vans hahaha. In addition, I did my research and found that the 3M Scotchgard was a steal at only $60 for the whole house, can you get Scotchgard from any of those others for $60? NO WAY!!! Any way I highly recommend Steam Machine Carpet Care to anyone who needs a GREAT family owned company. Im Makie here in Cary and I love my clean carpets! more

Carpet Protector 4/23/2012

What a great deal, Steam Machine only charged us $60 for 3M Scotch Guard carpet protection for a 6450 sq ft house!!!!! I thought this companies whole house $60 Scotch Guard special was a ""leader ad"" ""come on"" ""a JOKE""!! But it was true, Tom only charged us $60 to protect all of our homes carpets! Raleigh Carpet Care charged us $220 for Scotch Guard and $675 to clean our carpets a year ago! Steam Machine Charged us 50% less than that!!!!!!!!!!! I thought these ratings were a lie, BUT now I know they are the truth. Tom and his staff were honest and cleaned our carpets better than all the past carpet cleaners. BLACK SOOT LINES AROUND EDGES GONE!!!!!!!!!! 3/31/2012

Steam Machine got out those ugly black soot lines out of my carpets. These were caused by a lack of carpet cleaning and a gas furnace runs most of the year. Stanley Steemer & Sears could not get these lines out even after 4 attempts! But Steam Machine did and saved me from the purchase of new carpets.... Saved me over $1400 for new carpets! 3/24/2012

Our carpets look brand new. I was sure the carpet cleaner would not be able to remove all the stains, but I figured I'd try before replacing the carpets to our rental unit (a cost of $1400.00). The carpet cleaner was able to remove all the stains. I'm so happy that I don't have to replace the carpets. Thanks for a really good job and for saving me money. Steam Machine is a high rated company for a good reason. more

Calling them ""Carpet Cleaners"" isn't good enough! 2/1/2012

Hello Everyone! I could go on and on about their professionalism (such a pleasant surprise from other cleaners), Ken's thoroughness (every square inch was attended to), and his knowledge of his field (I dare you to find a question they can't answer!), but what you really want to know is, ""Can they clean dirty carpets?"" In a word? ""You-bet-your-sweet-bippy!"" I did purchase the Scotch Gard special for $60 (whole house) others wanted up to $175 for some knockoff carpet protector. What a great deal, I did my home work and 3M Scotch Gard does indeed protect my carpets fibers against spills, trust me, with 4 kids and 2 dogs and a part time cat, the stuff really works against staining. more

What a WONDERFUL locally owned company! 1/10/2012

We are expecting a new baby next month, so we wanted our carpets to be as clean as possible for her arrival! With a 5 year old running around eating and drinking all over the house, clean was something we never thought we'd see again...until we purchase new carpets, anyway! :) I called 3 companies to get price quotes, and felt so comfortable with how I was treated by Tom over the phone that it was a no brainer. Between all of his positive reviews, his kindness over the phone, and his extremely reasonable prices, I was confident and comfortable having Steam Machine Carpet Cleaners in my home. Tom arrived ON TIME (when does that EVER happen?!?), was friendly and hardworking, and was finished within the time frame he'd given me. Bet carpet cleaner in Raleigh area. 1/4/2012

1-4-2012 I just wanted to thank Tom Hutchison for getting the blue paint out of my biege carpet. Another company ""go green professional cleaning services"" of Cary (Bill Long) had attempted to remove the paint but did not get it out. After dealing with this for a week I called To with ""Steam Machine Carpet Cleaning And Care"". He came out the same day and got the paint right up. He also only charged me a fraction of the cost of the other company. I am thankful that God was looking out for me and sent Tom my way. And I am grateful to Tom for not taking advantage of me in my time of need. Again, thank you Tom. Marvin more
