St. Francis Animal Hospital is always open, which is why, when I go out of town, I bring my dog here to board (it's cheap, too--$18/night for my 50-pound basset hound). Other places operate during normal business hours and the dogs are left alone a lot. Like all vets in the area, they're expensive. Payment is expected up front, which is normal, but for your animal to even be seen by the vet, expect to pay $36+ (and it's always more, isn't it?). Tests and treatments can break the bank! Walk-ins are welcome, but I suggest making an appointment, because you'll (hopefully) get seen sooner than if you drop in. The phones here ring like crazy, so if you call, expect to spend some time on hold. The vets are great but the assistants...not so much.
