We had to board our Akita at St Francis for almost two weeks after an accident at home, and we also had the dog neutered while he was there. It wasn't the greatest of circumstances that landed us needing a vet at 7am on a Saturday morning, but we had nothing but great experiences with the staff starting right from the first phone call.
My dog was very well cared for (you can tell the difference between people being nice just because you're there and the dog responding to people who are looking after him well when no one is watching), the staff was awesome and I went to visit at least every other day. I was worried they would think I was a pain in the neck, but I never got anything except a genuine welcome.
I will be using St Francis for all my pets after this experience. The place is busy, so be prepared for a wait at peak times. Their veterinary rates are comparable to other places I have been, and the boarding seems to be a very good value.
