If you EVER have them come after you, watch out. My bank pays my bill every month, on the SAME date every month, and I have it set so far out that there is no chance of a payment being missed. I have now received TWO nasty letters two days in a row, one stating that ""my failure to pay as promised causes us to believe you have no intentions of paying your long past due account"". Well get a freaking life people and check my past payments. Have I EVER missed a payment? NO! NO! NO! I can't help it if your system is so disfunctional that it can't process payments until a week has passed. You would think I owed thousands! Yeah, I owe a few hundred on a medical bill. So, these people can stick it where the sun don't shine. If I could, I would pay off the REAL medical company and have done with it. BTW Southern Credit Recovery, my payment IS in the mail. And cut the attitude. People that end up having to pay your sorry butts have a myriad of reasons, some being they were so freakin sick they COULDN'T get their bills paid on time! CREEPS! more

I received a phone call on 07/08/11 from Southern Credit Recovery, Inc. stating that I owed them $60.03. I explained to the lady I was speaking to, that I paid this bill on 05/15/11. I gave her the cleared check # , the account # and the date it was paid and all she kept saying was that we never received payment. I asked her at least 5 times, what do you want me to do ? The lady with an attitude (Linda Parks) would never give me an answer. All she would say is that we never received payment. I explained to her that she should get with the company I wrote the check to and ask them where the payment is. She told me that it was my responsibility. I told her to do what she had to do. She responded by saying ""OH I Will"". A person with this type of attitude and with no answers other than rudeness, should not be employed with this company. more

This is no Yelp, but it'll do. When I received a phone call from a Niki Williams, (yes, Im calling her out by name!) a debt collector at Southern Credit Recovery, regarding a dispute letter I had sent in, she had nothing but attitude. I am TRYING to pay off my debt. She acted as if she has never seen a dispute form in her life. She argued she was the ""bearer of all bad news"". I was like Oh uh uh. Do not throw an attitude with me woman. This woman needs to go work for a repo company if she wants to act that way. Needless to say, I fired back, not quite the right way to go about it since she could help me settle my debt, but I was, like I said, fired up. Horrible Horrible costumer service. We ended up resolving nothing. more

This company is broken from the top down. Every person that I spoke to (two account managers, one floor manager and the company manager) was rude, uninformed and clearly annoyed that I dared ask questions. Be warned that when they send you a letter saying ""Your account is NOT schedule for collection procedures"" (direct quote) what they mean is that your account IS in collection procedures. When they say that you can arrange a payment plan, they actually mean that unless you pay the full amount, you will be reported to the credit bureau. If you've been sent to this company, prepare for an unnecessarily difficult experience and a lot of snotty phone calls. Pros: none so far Cons: complete disaster more
