LOVE THIS PLACE. IF YOUR IN TOO CAR AUDIO THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. THEY KNOW SO MUCH , AND THEIR PRODUCT THAT THEY CARRY AND SERVICE/EXPERTISE CAN'T BE FOUND ANYWHERE. I WENT IN FOR A FULL SYSTEM AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT .. I'LL TELL YOU I HAVE REVIEWED SOME OF THE REMARKS HERE AND CANT UNDERSTAND SOME PEOPLE .. Very knowledgable staff and great service 6/30/2011

I bought a new viper alarm and remote start combo from Erik at soundfx. He was very knowledgable about the product and the car I own. When it was time to drop the car off it was a very painless procedure. I went in at 9 and they had my car checked in within minutes. As soon as the car was finished they called me and I picked it up. Before I left they showed me how everything worked. This remote starter is great. I'm very happy with the experience I had with soundfx. I will be doing business with them again. more

best sound around 6/19/2011

me as an experienced car audio enthusiast i expected to walk in to their store just like i have other custom car places and showing up the people on staff but these people at sound fx know what they are talking about. I actually learned a few things in the 20 minutes i was there! what else can i say besides good service, knowledgeable staff, great products, and i wouldn't trust my car with ANYONE else . i know i will be back for some tint and a viper 2 way alarm system in the fall!! more

I bought a Kenwood stereo from them, Brian knew what I was looking for and didn't push me into spending more than I needed. I installed it myself, but it didn't solve the problems I was having. more

Great place to shop 6/14/2011

I went to Best Buy to get a car radio installed, They didnt have my kit and harness in stock , So they sent me to SoundFX up the road. So I get there the sales person starts asking me questions about what I was getting done at Best Buy , He starts showing me his products shows me his establishment and how they do things at soundfx . He was very knowledgable, gave me a great deal and guaranteed a lifetime warranty on the labor. I was very happy that I had my radio installed there it was done quickly and proffesionaly . I'm definitly returning there again to get my remote start installed for the winter .. more

Avoid like the Plague- Only one star since I can't give a 0 4/29/2011

The only advice I give to anyone who unfortunately shops at Sound FX in West Warwick is to not pay in full until the job is done. Once you pay in full, they don't care about the customer at all. more

I went to a ""megastore"" to buy my remote starter. I knew more than the salesperson having done some research online. I opted not to make the purchase there. When I walked into Sound FX they knew the products, (pros and cons) they didn't pressure me, they helped me into the right unit for what I wanted. I did have an issue after the install. They took the car back right away and fixed it. They even put in my headlamp to make up for the inconvenience (I had bought it I just hadn't installed it - too much snow on the ground, I was waiting for spring I think lol!) I highly recommend sound fx. I would go back in an instant. more

Great products, great service 1/10/2011

I recently purchased a new car radio. speakers and a remote starter at Sound FX in West Warwick RI. Not only were the prices competitive with any local electronic store, the service was outstanding. The sales people were very helpful and mindful of my budget. The installation went quickly and when my car was done, it was if no one had been in my car. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I have encouraged all my friends and family to go to Sound FX for any car audio needs. more

Mr. Jay Rogers, you have been a customer of ours for several years and we have always over backwards to accomodate you. For you to say these comments is unwarranted. We proved to you over and over again that your issue was with Nissan, and not the Alpine equipment, and not the installation. We spent countless hours in diagnostics(at no charge to you) to assist you in this issue. Once Nissan apparently fixed your vehicle, you called another shop to have all the equipment reinstalled back into the vehicle, and we know this since they contacted us to get your history. On the same day, you called us and said that you were planning on leaving everything in factory form, and attempted to gain free product from us in lieu of the time you spent trying to solve your problem. So if you didn't receive a call back from us you can understand why, we won't be strong armed into giving you free equipment. As you know from prior experience we bend over backwards for our customers but we draw the line at those circumstances which you brought before us. more

Take your money and forget you 1/4/2011

I had sound fx pull my alpine head unit from my old car and install it in my new one.Once they did this, they created a battery drain which killed my battery every 6 weeks. i took it to the dealer and they spent three days and removed their equipment and said it was the after market installation. Barry's of Newport charged me $0 for three days work. After already spending close to $3,000 on the hardware and another $700 to put it in a new car Sound fx said it was not thier fault. They then proceeded to put the unit back in for another $200. This killed my battery again so i asked them to remove it. (which was done at no charge) I have $3,000 worth of equipment and they refuse to return my calls and no one else will touch thier equipment, but my car starts every day now. What a great place to deal with. Yeah right. more

Amazing Sound System Install: SoundFX 12/6/2010

After purchasing my new Smart Car, I immediately knew I needed a new sound system, the stock system just wasn't cutting it! I brought my car to Mark at SoundFX. I have driven by SoundFX so many times but never stopped in! I was surprised with all the services they offer. Mark explained all the options and made it everything very clear. We both decided to go with the whole new system, an in-dash Pioneer DVD/Nav, 2 JL Speakers, JL Subwoofer, and an amplifier. The installation was done very professionally and in only a few days. The outcome was perfect, the sound system is the best sound I've ever heard in a car audio system. After everything was installed Mark explained how to use the new unit very thoroughly. Communication was excellent. My entire experience with SoundFX was second to none, they are truly car audio experts. I would highly recommend their services, I know I'll be returning for all my car audio needs! more

I went to several other shops that said I needed to give up a key to do my remote start...but they said they didn't have to. Saved me $300 from Nissan not to give one up! Thanks! Works great. Pros: selection, knowledge more

HORRIBLE!!! 2/22/2010

What a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I spend over $1800 on new stereo equipment, and when I brought it all home, the tweeter started buzzing. They diagnosed the problem and said that it was a ground piece that they needed to order. They didn't get the part for over four weeks. when I finally called again, they said that I needed to bring the car in again... I guess they forgot what was wrong with it... or they didn't even check the first time. I made an appointment for 9:30 am, and they made me wait for 3 hours before even looking at my car... WHAT IS THE POINT OF MAKING AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE ME WAIT FOR 3 HOURS!?!? tell me to come in at 11:30, when you can actually look at the car! When they finally looked at it, it turns out the head unit was broken!! something they could have fixed the first time! FOUR MONTHS AGO!!! Just HORRIBLE. my recommendation, take your money somewhere else. Pros: expensive equipment Cons: service, and maintenance is a joke more
