Do not use this consignment shop if you want money for your items. They accepted my clothing, all designer, in May. I went back in June and was told they did not have everything posted to come back in July they should be up to date on their postings. I went back yesterday, she got out the black binder goes, ""oh I guess we are still not current on the postings"". Now what business in today's world does not have their accounting computerized? She suggested that I could go searching through all the clothes to find what I brought in, or possibly they have been sent to another shop or donated. So I guess I've lost out and they probably have made out. Who knows! They certainly need organization and management that is current with today's technology. Maybe they could ask Legancies consignment for some organizational ideas. They are super organized, if you haven't tried them for furniture and household goods please do so. There money goes to Hospice. more

Well, until yesterday, I have had wonderful experiences both using them to place consignments and buying from them. When you visit one of the Snooty Fox locations, you can be sure; you will be seeing “NAME BRANDS” in/on most of the items.\r \r In early spring, my mother and I took a [$175.00 – never worn] “bridesmaid formal gown” with the store/purchase tags still on it, to one of the Snooty Fox locations. We asked lots of questions before leaving the dress for consignment, and then was given a card which had the consignment number and the phone number on the card. The representative who took the gown told us she would recommend checking on the gown periodically to see if it had sold. She was truly amazing since this was our first experience consigning with Snooty Fox.\r \r We did this (the last time being May 3rd) and the dress was still on the rack unsold. Yesterday, thinking all the prom and spring formal dances were over now that schools were out for the summer we returned to collect the gown if it had not sold.\r \r WELL, the dress was nowhere in the store to be found, and the paperwork indicated it had not been sold. When I questioned for my Mom what that meant, a clerk other than the one waiting on us turned around and antagonistically and sarcastically stated “It’s probably been donated.” Baffled, Mom and I looked at one another and both responded alike, “We were never told it would be donated.”\r \r NOW don’t get me wrong, Mom and I would probably have contacted the group in Cincinnati, who takes Formal Donations to ensure underprivileged girls have a gown to attend their school formal dances. What really rankles me is that it should have been our decision, not Snooty Fox unless they were to first call (they had 2 phone numbers) or email me (they were given that at the time of consignment) with their intent. To me their actions were unacceptable and very unprofessional. I will not take another consignment item to any of their stores.\r \r And I would never recommend anyone taking consignments to them. Like one of the other commentors on here .... After the treatment my mother and I received yesterday (June 5, 2013), they should rename it SNOTTY FOX, or definitely do a little culling of their help.\r \r \r more

I have always had a great experience when consigning at the Blue Ash location until recently. The past two times I have taken clothes they accepted 70 pieces once and 45 the next. Total I have been paid $45. I have checked on the account several times over the past few months, unfortunately they can't tell me what has happened to all the other pieces that I took in, but there is no record or a way to get my merchandise returned to me that didn't sell. I will not be to consign anything else. I am very disappointed, perhaps there is too much expansion and not enough customer service. more

Snooty Fox West Chester 5/1/2012

I have been a consignor and customer at the West Chester location for 10 years and have always had a positive experience. The staff is very good at knowing what will sell at their store so, they always have top-of-the-line merchandise. The manager there is wonderful; always friendly and helpful. Any time I have a question she takes the time to explain it to me. She also makes it a point to greet me as I enter the store, even remembering my name! more

They should rename this place Snotty Fox 12/27/2011

I brought in a bunch of high end children's clothes, cleaned and on hangers. The snotty lady working there said she would take one item that still had tags on it. Gee, thanks. more

Horrible experience as a consigner 5/16/2011

I've taken high end clothing to the Blue Ash location and really thought they would take care of me as I've been a ling term shopper there. I've spent thousands there on designer shoes and clothes! Here is what happened to me and I'm sure the story may ring true with other consigners here - the staff was rude and would tell me they were busy to either tell me what was sold or how much I could come and pick up. Finally, after months I got paid. First it was after 2 months of consigning and then again after 4. What I can tell you is this: I stopped by every week and KNOW my items were no longer on the shelves after a week. So what was the delay? Seems lime it was laziness to me. I was also not paid for four items. They rudely told me that they paid me for all they they owed me with no explanations what may have happened to the other items. I'm not happy with th service, treatment, and the head scratching work practices. Seems like something isn't right. My recommendation is for you to take your clothes somewhere else. You might not feel like I did: CHEATED! more

Cosigner's and a Buyer's Review 12/16/2010

I've both been a buyer and a cosigner. Things you should know as a cosigner: 1). You will NOT make a lot of money selling your clothes. 2). You will need to pay a $20 start-up fee before you can sell, but it's good for life. 3). It takes a while for you to get paid on your account - the whole system is very slow and inconsistent. I suggest calling before you make the trip out to the store to get your money. 4). This is a great place to sell your clothes that you no longer wear, but are too nice to donate to a thrift store. Things you should know as a buyer: 1). You can find amazing deals on designer bags and shoes (I purchased a Chanel bag for $500). 2). Expect to dig through clothes to find something you'll really love. 3). The staff has their good and bad days - sometimes they can be rude and unfriendly just because. ""Snooty"" is a good word. 4). A deal that you can get here is too good to pass up! 5). Do buy a $10 Platinum Card to get 10% daily discount and 20% on special ""member"" days. more

Snooty in Attitude, not in Clothing 7/19/2010

Yesterday, I took 15 items (mostly from Talbots) to the Snooty Fox to consign. They rejected all but one! All my items were like new, and bought within the past year. On the racks I noticed, while looking around, many outdated and low end styles from Wal-mart, Target, and such. Not that there is anything wrong with clothing from these stores, but the prices at Snooty were higher than new. I found a much better alternative in West Chester-Second Chance Consignment in Beckett Ridge. Much higher quality things! Friendly people! Pros: Easy accessibility Cons: Snooty Salesclerks, Low end merchandise more

Not a legitimate business 6/8/2010

I have had three experiences with Snooty Fox as a consigner of clothing. All three were disastrous. Most troubling was their lack of accountability for the merchandise I had dropped off. They had no idea what had sold and what the price was. All they could tell me was ""what they owed me."" Everything is done by hand in an antiquated accounting system that is not accurate nor reliable. Clearly, they are taking advantage of people who are consigning their clothing in good faith. I was told I could pick up the items that had not sold at the end of my contract. When I went to pick up the items that had not sold, they had no idea where my pieces were and shuffled an answer about how everything must have sold. Very shifty. The Snooty Fox has quite a scam going here in Cincinnati. As an aside, I have always thought their sales help to be rather ""snooty"". Who do they think they are? They are rude, inept, and know noting about customer service or retail. Cons: too numerous to list more

Shady Fox 9/1/2009

Very ""shady"" operation regarding ""consignment."" I recently opened an account with Snooty ($20); leaving 15 items initially. The clerk asked if I'd like to ""donate"" the few items they did not accept. I declined and took the items myself to Goodwill. I returned to the store a few days later to discover most of my items no longer on the racks (men's clothing, of which they have a VERY small collection, less than four racks total.) At the time, I actually was only able to locate two of my remaining items, both of which had price tags of $8 and $10. This was less than a week after opening the account. Several weeks later I was in the area, so I stopped by to see how much money was on my account. The clerk checked and stated ""it looks like I owe you $2, would you like that now, or would you like to leave it for a later date."" Given the fact that most all my items had been sold/disappared within the first week and that none of my items remained on the racks several weeks later, it's clear the Snooty Fox should be renamed the ""Shady"" Fox. As the poster below pointed out (last year), simply take your items to Goodwill and don't fall victim to the scam of opening a $20 account with Shady Fox. You'll never see any proceeds from the sale of your goods, plus you're out the $20 - SHADY, SHADY, SHADY... Cons: Shady operation when it comes to consignment more
