Well, until yesterday, I have had wonderful experiences both using them to place consignments and buying from them. When you visit one of the Snooty Fox locations, you can be sure; you will be seeing “NAME BRANDS” in/on most of the items.\r

In early spring, my mother and I took a [$175.00 – never worn] “bridesmaid formal gown” with the store/purchase tags still on it, to one of the Snooty Fox locations. We asked lots of questions before leaving the dress for consignment, and then was given a card which had the consignment number and the phone number on the card. The representative who took the gown told us she would recommend checking on the gown periodically to see if it had sold. She was truly amazing since this was our first experience consigning with Snooty Fox.\r

We did this (the last time being May 3rd) and the dress was still on the rack unsold. Yesterday, thinking all the prom and spring formal dances were over now that schools were out for the summer we returned to collect the gown if it had not sold.\r

WELL, the dress was nowhere in the store to be found, and the paperwork indicated it had not been sold. When I questioned for my Mom what that meant, a clerk other than the one waiting on us turned around and antagonistically and sarcastically stated “It’s probably been donated.” Baffled, Mom and I looked at one another and both responded alike, “We were never told it would be donated.”\r

NOW don’t get me wrong, Mom and I would probably have contacted the group in Cincinnati, who takes Formal Donations to ensure underprivileged girls have a gown to attend their school formal dances. What really rankles me is that it should have been our decision, not Snooty Fox unless they were to first call (they had 2 phone numbers) or email me (they were given that at the time of consignment) with their intent. To me their actions were unacceptable and very unprofessional. I will not take another consignment item to any of their stores.\r

And I would never recommend anyone taking consignments to them. Like one of the other commentors on here .... After the treatment my mother and I received yesterday (June 5, 2013), they should rename it SNOTTY FOX, or definitely do a little culling of their help.\r
