Love this place! 3/28/2019

Sneakerama treats their employees like family. They offer the lowest prices compared to any other competitors. Steve and his daughter are wonderful people and there’s a reason Sneakerama has successfully operated its business for over 41 years now! I’m a customer for life. The community needs more kind and caring people such as Sneakerama! Staff is very welcoming, kind and considerate. more

Amazing service!! 2/10/2019

This store is awesome!! The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful! I had been having some problems with my feet and the sales girl was super attentive. She listened to what I had to say and then gave me some advice on how to stretch my planta fascia. And they pulled a bunch of shoes for me to try but her first pick for me was spot on!! I will definitely be back again and will be recommending them to all my friends! more

Best Customer Service Around 11/29/2018

I was recently advised by my podiatrist that I should be wearing a particular shoe, the New Balance 928. I did some research and saw that Sneakerama carried this shoe, and that the price was $10 cheaper at other places I looked. I went to the store and the staff bent over backwards to help me. I went back and forth between a B width and a D width, finally settling on the B. Steve, the owner, assured me that if I took the shoe home and tried it out indoors for a few days and wasn't happy with it I could come back and exchange it for the D width. Well, after a few days I realized that I would probably be more comfortable in the wider width and true to his word Steve made the exchange for me. He assured me that if I had any further problems to come back again and he would "make it right" for me. The shoe in the new size has worked out fine and I am very happy with it. The service at this store is the way things were in the old days. The staff took a lot of time with me and made sure I was happy. Most other places would never provide this type of service. I would strongly recommend this local small business to everyone! more

Response to runaway from sneakerama 5/1/2017

I happened to be in the store shopping for some running sneakers at the same time as this customer wrote about. I was one of three people finishing up and making final decisions. The owner Steve and his employees had taken alot of time with me as they do with all of their customers to ensure that when they leave they have the right sneaker. Not the most expensive sneaker or the most popular sneaker but the best sneaker for me. Anyway the customer(I'm assuming the same one because she was the only one to come in to the store right before they closed. The staff had already put the metal things on the windows and had shut most of the lights so it was clear that the store was closing or closed but because my self and a couple other customers had been there for a while, had done a walking analysis etc etc...she is correct there were people in the store who it would have appeared were still being helped. The only people going through boxes were the staff cleaning up the mess that myself and the owner had made riffling through endless boxes searching for the right sneaker. The customer cane in and Steve very politely explained that they were closed and in order to ensure the best customer experience and the correct fit, that she would have to come back another time as a proper fitting can take up to 30 minutes or more. This woman who was seemingly already upset or on edge acted like the owner had no right to close the store at the posted time on the door. The staff and Steve apologized up and down( too much in my opinion) and told her the store hours for the next day while myself and another patron sat in disbelief. The owner continued to explain that had he not had a date with his elderly mother (sweet) that he would have been happy to stay behind.i thkught while unnecessary, that this was very sweet and actually touched my heart. I have been a lifelong customer of sneakerama so I know his mom who used to run the store with the owners father.people come to sneakerama not just because they are going to get the right shoes at a really good price but also because the owner and the staff really care about people. Every customer is treated with respect and that's why sneakerama customers like myself would never even think about buying sneakers anywhere else and also why this customers review will and shouldnt be taken seriously. I've had bad experiences at stores in the past but sometimes you hAve to think that it may not be the store that's causing it. more

Run away from Sneakerama 4/23/2017

1.0 star rating 4/23/2017 STAY AWAY!!! Rude, disturbing, overpriced. 1st visit they were super rude when I spent $400.00. 2nd time owner rudely said they were closing, threw me out, but people were walking around picking through boxes. I called 30 minutes later to complain, they were still there. Owner had FRIGHTENING, bizarre, emotional breakdown, screamed" I love my mother, she is 82 years old I am taking her to the movies later tonight." Then he hung up. It was unprofessional, deeply disturbing, awkward and confusing. His mother is healthy or she wouldn't be going to movies, but why yell your motherly love at customers? Not sure what's going on, never had a "so called business man" scream at me about their mother love. Too Norman Bates for me! You can get all of their products elsewhere for LESS $$ and everyone should! more

How do You Order 6/21/2008

Im a cheerleader, and this year to get my cheer shoes my coach recommended Sneakerama to me because of the great discounts. The discounts were good, but when it came time to actually buy the shoes online, I had no idea how! There was no purchase button, only " Request a Quote" buttons. I was so confused and neither me nor my mother could figure how to buy the shoes. Eventually, I just ordered them from a different manufacturer (with cheaper prices, I may add). Sneakerama really needs to figure out how its website works, or give more information, because they lost business because of their confusing way of ordering things. more

Online Service - Fantastic! 2/14/2008

When my doctor told me that I needed to buy running shoes because of my foot injuries, I wasn't very happy. However my brother who lives in the Worcester area recommended Sneakerama to me. Now living in Sacramento, CA I didn't really want to buy shoes without first trying them on. But I decided to give it a try anyway. The online service was fantastic! I was constantly receiving emails from people telling me that the shoes were in stock, when they were shipped out, and when I should be receiving them. I even got a free pair of socks! Oh, and the shoes fit perfectly. The Asics 2130 were recommended to me, and they have worked great! This is a great store, and you shouldn't be afraid to buy online from this store, even if you live across the country! more

GREAT Store with GREAT Service!!! 1/3/2008

I am a college athlete who has had some recent trouble in the off season with knee pain. I had first heard about sneakerama through a friend of the family who is an avid runner. I figured at this point I had nothing to loose. I could not believe how professional the staff was and the knowledge they had over their products. Needless to say, they did an outstanding job in accommodating my needs by watching me walk and making sure that the sneaker did exactly what I needed it to. I could not be more happy with my experience at sneakerama and will be, without a doubt, a customer of theirs for life. Obviously I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone who is looking for great service from a knowledgeable staff who seems to really care about each individual customer. more

Buyer Beware of Sneakerama in Worcester 9/23/2007

I bought a pair of running sneakers and was "gauranteed" I would love them. I am training or a marathon a few weeks away. I ran one mile in the new sneakers and felt two blisters forming. I brought them back the next day only to be told by Steve, the Owner, that they would not give me my money back. I explained that the sneakers gave me blisters and I can't wear them. Similar to the person above that had a incident with him, he LOST IT and BLEW UP at me--he asked me how old I was (I'm 30-not that that matters), called me a bitch in the store, told me to get out and ridiculed me. He did everything but slap me in the face. I went home and came back with my boyfriend, an attorney. When we walked in, Steve, who was with a customer, started a confrontation with my boyfriend, laughed in his face and tore up his business card. He was and is beyond an a-hole. Further, when we both said we would no longer buy sneakers from him, he ranted and raved about how "he'll be just fine" and "oh, it will really hurt my business." I went to this place because it was local and I thought I would get better service. WRONG. All I got was an arrogant, rude, jerk of an owner who thinks he knows it all beause he sells shoes. Do yourselves a favor, buy from someplace else where they won't put you down and refuse to give your money back when their shoes stink!! Tracy more

Online Experience 9/18/2007

I ordered some shoes online for the posted online price which was an unbelievable $0.00, all I had to do was pay shipping. Of course I didn't expect the order to go through, but I was soon contacted by sneakerama whom said the order was on its way. Great! Not so great. They ended up charging an unauthorized $200.00 to my credit card. I called the credit card company to see who was making this unauthorized transaction and they told me it was sneakerama. They asked me about the situation and I told them exactly what you are reading here. They said that unauthorized charging is theft and wanted to know if I wanted to press charges. I said no and that I'd clear it up with sneakerama. I quickly called sneakerama and began to explain what the credit card company said. Before I could finish Steve, the owner, absolutely BLEW UP calling me a thief, a sleezebag amongst other explicit profanities. He continued on for a few minutes not letting me finish. I responded in kind and the situation quickly deteriorated. He asked if I was from California, I guess he has something against the west coast. All I wanted was to say is that the credit card company said he should not be processing unauthorized transactions and that I want to return one of the two pairs of shoes ordered. I will be returning both pairs of shoes. I am sure this is not how he usually operates his business but I am one unsatisfied customer! more

Great Service 6/22/2006

I went to Sneakerama looking for a specific pair of PF Flyers. When they didn't have them in stock, the salesman called the PF Flyer rep and placed an order for me. He felt so bad that they didn't have it in stock he even gave me a discount on the order. more
