I happened to be in the store shopping for some running sneakers at the same time as this customer wrote about. I was one of three people finishing up and making final decisions. The owner Steve and his employees had taken alot of time with me as they do with all of their customers to ensure that when they leave they have the right sneaker. Not the most expensive sneaker or the most popular sneaker but the best sneaker for me. Anyway the customer(I'm assuming the same one because she was the only one to come in to the store right before they closed. The staff had already put the metal things on the windows and had shut most of the lights so it was clear that the store was closing or closed but because my self and a couple other customers had been there for a while, had done a walking analysis etc etc...she is correct there were people in the store who it would have appeared were still being helped. The only people going through boxes were the staff cleaning up the mess that myself and the owner had made riffling through endless boxes searching for the right sneaker. The customer cane in and Steve very politely explained that they were closed and in order to ensure the best customer experience and the correct fit, that she would have to come back another time as a proper fitting can take up to 30 minutes or more. This woman who was seemingly already upset or on edge acted like the owner had no right to close the store at the posted time on the door. The staff and Steve apologized up and down( too much in my opinion) and told her the store hours for the next day while myself and another patron sat in disbelief. The owner continued to explain that had he not had a date with his elderly mother (sweet) that he would have been happy to stay behind.i thkught while unnecessary, that this was very sweet and actually touched my heart. I have been a lifelong customer of sneakerama so I know his mom who used to run the store with the owners father.people come to sneakerama not just because they are going to get the right shoes at a really good price but also because the owner and the staff really care about people. Every customer is treated with respect and that's why sneakerama customers like myself would never even think about buying sneakers anywhere else and also why this customers review will and shouldnt be taken seriously. I've had bad experiences at stores in the past but sometimes you hAve to think that it may not be the store that's causing it.
