Best

Took the ferry from Sausalito to San Francisco and people working for Ferry told me to try Sinbad's on the water. Went there and their recommendation was right. I couldn't belie...

Worst

My friends and I tried this place last weekend and we will never ever go back! Sindbad's has to be the WORST seafood restaurant in the city. The service was terrible - this holds ...

I bought a Groupon and went here to have some dinner. The food was tasty and the waiter was friendly. The view of the bridge was awesome. more

hey kept the kitchen open for us, we ordered some drinks and beers, got some late night snacks and enjoyed them with a tremendous view of San Francisco Bay. We were the last people out of the restaurant - and we really appreciated the level of service from the staff - they got us food and drinks and made for an amazing nightcap to a very special evening amongst friends. more

This place deserves better ratings! For what it's worth, yes, this place is divey. Yes, it's retro circa 1970's (come on, who doesn't love the 70's anyways?). Yes, it will remind you of the time you had dinner with your parents at an old place back when you were a kid (doesn't that make you feel warm inside?) Yes, the view... is quite amazingly stunning. This place is a stunner in more ways than one and a fun experience, if you allow it to be.\r \r FYI, the service was great! more

Now I'm a girl with a love for shell fish. Ive has many of crab cakes over the years & these were by far the best. They are not the traditionally breaded kind but just a delicious meaty Dungeonous Crab. The only place to find crab cakes made in this way & this good. I have never had a better crab cake since. I think for my boy friend & I's 5 year anniversary were going to have to visit this place again. I was very impressed with the staff & the food. I swear you'll never find a better crab cake, there will never be one better. I must warn you that they are a bit pricey. So , if your looking for a cheap date & are on a budget. This may not be the best place for you. I'm NOT a frugal girl a heart . So if your looking for a desk reading my reviews you may be barking up the wrong tree.LOL. Honestly for me personally I would do a back flip for there delicious crab cakes. So to me its totally worth it. more

This review applies ONLY to the excellent Bloody Mary at Sinbad's. I give it five stars, because it satisfies all my arbitrary requirements:\r \r 1) It's a generous helping\r 2) They know how to use horseradish!\r 3) Lots of garnishes: pickles, olives, celery. If ain't also a salad, it ain't a good Bloody Mary\r 4) Nobody balks if you have three. more

I ordered the salmon with vegetables and my girlfriend got a pasta dish. We were both extremely satisfied with our dishes, in fact, she kept picking at my fish. it was cooked to perfection! more

My 1st impression of Sinbad's was that it looked like a relatively reasonably priced because of it's outward shack like appearance on the outside. When we went in I was shocked to see the interior was a very oranate & formal looking dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by all of the character & detail of this place & I love formal decor . So I was pleased.\r \r The waiter an older gentleman quickly greeted us warmly & guided us to our table. I must say I love the bay side window seats. The views of the San Francisco Bay & Bay bridge made it for an even better earring experience. Who doesn't like ocean views really though. more

The boyfriend and I came here for a weeknight date with a Groupon that was about to expire in two days. It wasn't the nightmare everyone else seems to have had in the last year. It must be our good Yelp karma or the fact that we are the parents of a preschooler and cherish date night opportunities. Sure, the bathrooms were gross and the place looks like the Regal Beagle. But that view! Where else can you relax with a glass of wine and watch the Bay Bridge light show? And thanks to Groupon, we only spent about $15. Our waiter reminded me of one of my tios, full of jokes and Spanglish banter, but he kept our drinks filled. The food was decent. Fish and veggies were nicely cooked. I don't know that I would come out of my way to return. But it was a touristy San Francisco tradition I was pleased to experience. more

Food was outstanding, service excellent, and had the most beautiful view of San Francisco Bay Bridge and it's beautiful LED light show! Prices are a little stiff, but worth it for what you get! more

Yep sipping a drink at the bar with a crazy amazing view is the way to go with this place. Strong cocktails. The bartender is busy as he makes drinks for the entire restaurant. I liked my experience, funny friendly folks at the bar. more

We had dinner here tonight for the first time, I was a little apprehensive of ever coming here after reading all these 1 & 2 star reviews, but I'm glad we came anyway. A lot of reviewers seem to have some kind of aversion to dark wood interiors but I do have to agree that the one-man restroom could use a little remodeling. Food: I actually had the best Shrimp Louie ever - and not just a handful of shrimp, it was LOADED with bay shrimp, with all the good things that a Louie should contain. Cocktails: I had an Old-Fashioned, and it was perfect. Dessert: only had coffee, and it was dark and rich, just the way I like it.. Service: waiters were constantly watching us to see if we needed anything. Yes this place is way overpriced, but I'll still be back to try other things. If other dishes were as good as tonight's, then it's worth it to me. And I heard other diners around me commenting on how delicious their seafood dishes were. And the view alone from our table was AMAZING... literally yards away from a beautifully lit-up Bay Bridge. more

I had never heard of this place, and my neighbors brought my partner and I to celebrate our Domestic Partnership. That being said, there was a very positive, care free air about the evening. The food was fine. I had a delicious Salmon & Veggie dish, the waiter was kind and funny, the views are spectacular, and it was a lovely night. I'm not sure why everyone is giving the place so much hate, it's not bad. In fact, it's great. It's not The Slanted Door, and if that's what you want, go there, if you want a nicely prepared American meal, with a fantastic view, in a old school party atmosphere, this is the place. more
