Great selection of evening wear and very attentive service 4/15/2012

I came to Silhouette after being disappointed at the attentiveness and pushiness in a large dress store in south Jersey. This was just the opposite. I found the sales help very helpful and the boutique a pleasant place to try on dresses and show them to my husband. They didn't have the dress I wanted in my size and I waited too long to be able to order it but the Priya made every effort to try and find one in my size. She was wonderful. more

Perfection and style!! 1/21/2012

I was very frustrated searching for a gown for my son's wedding.I knew exactly what I wanted and could find none that met my expectations. When I went to this location and viewed the gowns, I knew my search was over! The owner Priya and her staff are wonderful. I enjoyed every trip to see Pat the seamstress and chat with Jill the other employee, I was somewhat saddened when my gown was ready for delivery.[ iT WAS PERFECT]. I enjoyed their company!!! more

Highly recommend 1/21/2012

I purchased a dress here for my son's wedding. I had purchased a dress 4 years ago, for my older son's wedding, at the same location, but under different ownership. Priya is wonderful and gives personalized attention to each customer. There is a large selection of dresses and sizes that one can fit into, without having to guess how a dress will look in your size. The dressmaker is pleasant, professional and reasonably priced. I also got jewelery, which really made my dress sparkle. I would return to Silhouette Boutique anytime. more

My duaghter found this place so I could get my dress for her wedding. They were so amazing. They have a great selection and really took their time with me. I was so impressed that I brought my 81 year old mother for her dress. She is not in great shape and is very stubborn. Priya, the salesperson not only helped her find a dress but also helped her get in and out of each dress and made her as comfortable as possible. I have not experienced such professionalism and kindness. I am professional working women and appriciate when I see this in other people. This is such a nice store and everyone is really so helpfull and sincere. I only have one child but if I have another occasion I will certainly go back to this lovely store. Every visit to this store was great and relaxed. They have the best accessories too. My duaghter and I both bought our jewelry and purses there. We can't say enough about this store. The last time I went back to pick up my dress another customers was back showing pictures of their wedding and raving about how good they felt about their dress. more

Worst Experience!!!!! 9/23/2011

I heard of a co-worker having used this place to alter her wedding gown the she purchased on-line, and I was in need of finding a place closer to home to do the alterations since I bought the dress from somewhere 2hrs away. My mom had the same situation with her mother-of-the-bride gown, so we both called and scheduled appointments. After the 1st appointment, the seamstress (Pat I believe her name was) seemed great and said she'd be able to do what I wanted. But THEN....my mom was suddenly given HORRIFIC attitude from the owner lady (darker skin, short dark hair.....) and ended up having to cancel her alterations! Then the next time I was in for my 2nd fitting with Pat, this same owner lady stormed in on us, me with my wedding gown on and all, and started yelling at me about how horrible my mom is, etc, and went on and on. She did this also in front of my maid of honor and her 4 year old son! It was SUCH a horrific couple of minutes and totally ruined my experience of being a ""bride to be"" and seeing my gown come to fruition!!! I had to hold back the tears and frustration and get out of there ASAP. Because of the rush, I accidentally left my stud earings on the table in the fitting room....called the next day and the owner lady told me ""they didn't find anything."" Yeah right....when I went back for my final fitting, which I had to do alone since my mom and maid of honor refused to see these people and deal with this treatment again :( I couldn't have been more horrified at the turn-out of my dress. The fitting and bussle was all fine and as desired, but it was TOTALLY wrinkled!!!!! They said ""it just wouldn't iron"" and I'd have to make do. It was just a normal satin style gown!!!! And it was just given to me on a hanger....?!?! Not wrapped in anything or formed on any bust, etc. I had to spend like 3 weeks trying to steam iron it at home myself. Luckily they were totally wrong and it WOULD iron, they just didn't feel like doing it I guess. It so ruined my experience of being excited about my 'perfect gown' and all that....and for like $350 for the 3 fittings, it was WAY OVER PRICED for a lack of turn-out. And since I'm not an expert with ironing the packaging a wedding gown for transport, on my wedding day in some of the photos you can still see a wrinkle here or there....and my poor mom! Just horrible! more

Beautiful Dresses 3/1/2011

This was my second time buying from Silhouette Boutique, my first time was when it was Rina Di Montella Studio. The second time I was looking for a dress for my daughter's wedding and I was very satisfied. I had a hard time making the decision since there were several gowns that I liked. I really appreciated Priya's help and kindness, I had a better experience since she has the Boutique because she cares about her customers. I drove from Wilkes-Barre and was not sorry to make the trip, it was well worth it. I lost a buckle on my shoe and Priya sent me a replacement at no cost, very professional on her part, I will continue to buy from Silhouette Boutique. more

Wonderful service, personalized care 2/8/2011

I had several friends who went to this store and had wonderful experiences in purchasing their mother of the bride/groom dresses. They give individual attention and I can not say enough about Priya and Pat, they helped me select the perfect dress for my son's wedding and this was not easy as I had ""special needs"" due to previous injury. They helped me find the right style dress and then altered it to fit perfectly so I felt like a queen. In addition, they helped by offering to alter my daughter's dress for the wedding. She was a bridesmaid and the dresses were purchased in NYC, so we needed it altered locally. They offered to do it, I did not ask, and they did a beautiful job. And then, a few weeks before the wedding, I noticed some bead work missing and they were more than willing to fix it quickly and the gown was perfect for the wedding. I got a ton of compliments and will go back to this store any time I need a dress for a special occassion. IT will be my first stop and I refer my friends to Priya all the time. more

Mother Of The Bride Very Pleased 2/8/2011

After looking for months within 90 miles of our home, frustrated one evening, I went to the computer and typed in Classic Elegance. Up popped ""Rina di Montella Studio Warehouse."" I was stunned by the beautiful gowns-everything I had been looking for. It was a 2.5 hour drive but well worth it. Not only were the dresses gorgeous and unique, I found the staff headed up by Priya Arora to be professional and very helpful. I returned home excited to tell my daughter's future mother in law about the studio and she also purchased her dress there. Because of the distance, Priya and her staff made sure to have our fittings and alterations done in one day-not too many shops would do that. We received nothing but the best customer service, and being an SRVP of sales for a company for over 18 years, I took note of this. On October 24th, 2009, the Mother of The Bride, and The Mother of The Groom wore classic, elegance, and felt like a million dollars. I just had my dress dry cleaned as I plan to wear it to a hospital ball this month. Thank you Priya and staff for making us look so good on our children's wedding day! Kathy Luce more

I went to this shop after a customer where I work recommended I go there for my mother of the groom dress. She had gotten her dress there and had nothing but nice things to say. I was greeted by Priya, the owner, as I went in and she personally recommended different dresses to figure out the style I was looking for. They had a very nice selection of dresses displayed. After trying on 3 or 4, I found the perfect Jovani dress! It was ordered and as promised, Priya called to set up my first fitting. Luckily, all I needed was a hem. Pat, the seamstress was so attentive to me to be sure everything fit me perfectly and that I was happy with my dress. I picked it up yesterday and I must say I feel like the bride in my beautiful gown! Priya and her staff were so gracious and interested in my son's wedding, asking questions and seemingly very interested in our exciting day. They asked me to return after the wedding on Sept 5th to bring pictures and tell them all about it! I enjoyed my experience at Rina di Montella and will recommend it to friends and customers of my own. more

STAY AWAY unless you buy your dress here! 8/19/2010

WOW, I wish I had read the other reviews before my daughter took her wedding gown to be altered here....and made an appt. for myself to have my mother-of-the-bride dress altered (that appt. has now been canceled.) I had purchased my mother of the bride dress at a shop out of state months earlier. I accompanied her to her 1st fitting and the seamstress was very nice. While there I mentioned that I'd like to bring my dress in for alterations once it was delivered and was told that would be fine. When my dress was delivered I called the Rina D. shop to schedule my 1st fitting. They ""fit me in the schedule"" about 4 weeks ahead and took info from me INCLUDING where I had purchased my dress. Nothing was said at that time about NOT having purchased my dress from their shop. So today, a few weeks later, I called Rina's to give them a heads-up about part of my alterations that included adding extra dress material to the back of the skirt where the center seam was, I didn't like the high open slit. (I already knew extra material could be ordered.) The woman was incredibly RUDE and as soon as I began explaining about the material (my point being that I wanted to be sure there would be time to get the material in and the alterations done by the date of the wedding) she bluntly said ""I think you should just contact ****'s (the shop I'd purchased my dress from) and let them handle it."" I wasn't quite sure what to think of her comment at this point and stated that I could have them order the fabric but it's terribly far to drive for alterations (1 1/2 hrs) and even they had recommended I get someone locally to do my alterations. With a lot of sass she said ""Well, you didn't buy your dress here, you bought it at that other shop, we sell those dresses too."" I tried to keep calm and said ""I KNOW THAT NOW but did not know it when I ordered my dress many months ago!"" So at this point on the phone I told the woman it sounded like they were NOT interested in doing my alterations and she said ""Well, we do alterations as a service for women who buy their dresses here and you bought yours elsewhere."" I asked her why after 3 points of contact with her shop, including the call to schedule my appt. for a fitting when they had asked where I bought my dress, that this was not stated to me. Now weeks have gone by. She said I had to understand that they are not an alteration shop for just anyone, they do it as a service to people who buy their dresses there. Again....I asked then why was this not stated to me earlier, most particularly when I called for an appt.? Wow - I was astounded that she was so calm about putting me in a position like this at this point in time - a mother of the bride who is now under the gun with her timing. She didn't seem to care at all and stated that ""....well, because your daughter is having her dress done by us we would do yours as a service to her...."" I paused and said, ""As a service to her? WHO DO YOU THINK IS PAYING FOR HER ALTERATIONS? ME!"" It was just so ridiculous and I ended the conversation by canceling my fitting appt. and telling her that I hoped she was able to sleep at night and thank you very much for adding stress to me at this point in my daughter's wedding planning. Please respect yourself and don't go here for alterations unless you plan to buy your dress from them. So disappointing that a shop in this line of business could so easily be this rude and inconsiderate to people trying to enjoy an important day like a wedding and so disrespectful of the crucial timelines. We need to DEPEND on these kinds of shops! Unbelievable. Stay away. I have fortunately now been given the name of a small local shop that has done bridesmaid dress alterations for several gals, not a fancy place by any means. I was told their alterations were done in 2 weeks. I'll be calling them tomorrow. more

Rude, crude and full of 'tude 7/10/2010

My first visit to the store was positive and the staff could not have more accomodating. The attentive service and assistance influenced me to purchase my gown for my daughter's wedding. What a surprized 5 monhs later when I went to the store to pick up my dress. The staff was extremely rude and offered little assistance. I was handed my dress and off to dressing room I went. No one offered assistance and I had to come out and ask if someone would mind zipping my dress.Thank God, the seamstress happened to be in the store as she was the only one that seemed to care. When I was leaving the store, I asked if someone was going to bag my dress and they sales team reluctantly did so after rolling her eyes and throwing a dress. The ultimate insult was when I left the store, I did not even receive a thank you. I find it ironic that once the purchase was made, they had no time for me. It seems to me that the customer service stopped once they cashed my check. Pros: Beautiful dresses and great selection Cons: Horrible customer service more

New Ownership as of 08/01/2008 10/20/2008

Please note that this store has changed ownership as of 08/01/2008. I am the new owner. I personally guarantee that we will get your dress is as soon as possible. The way it works is that if the manufacturer has the dress in stock ( their warehouse), we can get the dress within a week. If they have to make it, it can take up to 12wks. Some manufacturers can ""rush"" an order. They charge from $35-$150 for this service. We are a special occasions store and like most of our competitors, we have to order the dress. So please, if you have a special occasion coming up, please allot yourself enough time. more

my dress has wrinkles that can't be fixed 8/25/2008

My dress came in two weeks before the event, not leaving enough time to make proper alterations. (I ordered it five months beforehand). Even with the short time, they gave me trouble fitting me in for a hem. Advice to all brides and mothers of---lie about your wear date. Push it up by at least a month. Terrible service. Pros: Ordered merchandixe arrived almot too late Cons: Not as expensive as most dress shops more

Dont' be fooled by the beautiful designs! 7/19/2008

Rina's designs and fabrics are beautiful, but the customer service is horrendous! The wrong dress was ordered for my daughter's wedding and with only 20 days to the wedding, they assumed absolutely no responsibility. Not even an apology. I was told that they stopped making the dress that I ordered, so why didn't someone call me and let me know that. It was a take it or leave it attitude, and with only 20 days to the wedding I really had no choice, but to take it. That was my mistake. I should have ditched the dress. I never felt good in it because it was not the dress for me. I would never recommend anyone to go there. It is not worth the risk. Customer service is everything. more
