Horrible experience- wish I never trusted them! 2/16/2012

I made the initial deposit and gave the go-ahead to try to recover my camera's photos. After the initial exam of my memory card, Scott Wells, a Secure Data Recovery Services representative, assured me that it could be fixed and success was promising, so I again gave the go-ahead for them to proceed (they said they needed to make a new hardware component for the memory card).\r \r Weeks passed with no word, so I had to call and finally hear that recovery was dubious. I said I did not want them to proceed if they would potentially damage my memory card further and Scott assured me that my memory card would not be compromised in any way, should I decide to find another company. After the third failed attempt to recover photos, I got my memory card back COMPLETELY DESTROYED, taped together, shards of plastic sticking out, and utterly impossible of being fixed. Awful Customer Service 2/9/2012

Unfortunately Secure Data Recovery has god awful customer service. I spoke to a customer service rep at this company who started yelling at me because I had dropped off my laptop with them instead of just the hard drive. Even if they are good at what they do (they never were able to get any information back for me) I didn't see the brilliant service everyone else wrote about. With so many companies like this one, find a more reliable place. more

100% successful 2/6/2012

I stepped on my flash drive by mistake and could have just cried. Over 3 years of photos of my granddaughter were stored on it from birth. I looked up online and in a phone book and called a few places. One place wanted over $200 to do a flash memory recovery which I thought was outrageous. I called Secure Data Recovery Services and the estimated charge was far less, so I went with them and crossed my fingers. I sent it out priority mail and the shocker was, just 7 days later it was returned to me with a new flash drive with all my pictures on it. The service was fast, affordable and the flash drive recovery was a 100% successful which made me very happy. Their number is now on my refrigerator just in case I ever need them again. Secured Data Recovery Services used specialty tools, procedures and security measures at their phenomenal high tech facility to perform a RAID 1 Data Recovery for our firm with outstanding results. Our critical data vanished overnight when a major power surge zapped our RAID back up system and the technicians in the building could not get it working again. The next day it still was not working and we could not access our information. We called Secured Data Recovery Services who came to our rescue. By the end of the day, everything was working fine, all of our data had been returned, the RAID back up system was fixed and life was good again. I am humbled and very grateful 12/27/2011

Our server was acting up and being a technician myself, I could not figure out the problem. After hours of trying to get it running smooth, I hesitantly called Secured Data Recovery Services. They did a RAID 50 Data Recovery and stated that 3 drives were corrupted with Trojans, viruses and errors. They captured and extracted the data from the old drives placing the data on new drives. They returned and had our RAID 50 back to normal. I could learn a lot from these guys. Just when you think you are smarter than the average bear, something like this happens to knock you down a peg and back to reality. I was very impressed with their knowledge of RAID arrays and would use them again. I am humbled and very grateful. more

RAID data recovery services, I thought, I would never need in my business. Being we had a RAID I always felt it was indestructible; well that?s what I used to think. Quality recovery company with expertise and professionalism 11/5/2011

Our data is maintained on a RAID 1, which we felt was the simplest configurations of only two equal sized disks. Being one disk is mirrored to another disk we have always felt very secure and safe with our data. One day our RAID went array and we were hearing noises. Rather than take a chance we called Secured Data Recovery Services in LA and thank god we did. One disk failed and they recovered the mirror image and put in a new disk and the end results were up and running in no time. They are a quality recovery company with expertise and professionalism. more

well worth every penny to have my data returned 10/24/2011

I store all my data on my flash memory including over 7,000 pictures, documents, data and more. I went to use my flash drive and it said it was corrupted and no mater what I tried; I could not get to the stored information. As much as I dreaded to call a tech guy, I broke down and had to hire a company for flash memory recovery to restore all of my important information. Within a minimal amount of time, the tech guy handed me my flash memory eliminating the corruption retrieved my data. I never thought it would be this easy. Thank goodness I smartened up and called a company who knew what they were doing. I was very grateful to the technician and now I keep their phone number handy just in case another emergency occurs. The Secure Data Recovery services were reasonably priced, friendly service and well worth every penny to have my data returned back to normal. more

I knew my hard drive was failing and making weird noises, but I figured that I had awhile before it died to give me enough time to make a copy. Well, needless to say, I was wrong. The next day I went to turn on my computer and nothing happened and I smelled burning. I unplugged the computer and looked inside and it was not a pretty site. I detached the hard drive hoping to save the data that is stored. I had heard of a Secure Data Recovery Services in Los Angeles area that performed hard drive recovery, so I gave them a call. They were very polite and asked me to bring the hard drive down and they would take a look. The next day I dropped the hard drive off with expectations that the technician would be able to save my valuable data stored. Sure enough I received a phone call later that day; this amazing company preformed a miracle and retrieved all my data. I asked if they could put it on a new hard drive which they did. My business handles financial information that is extremely valuable. When the company system went down I thought that it was over for us. Lawsuits are no joking matter. These guys really saved the day by getting our database recovery processed and everything back online. All key data was recovered and placed back as it should be before anyone knew what happened. I think we had to send out two emails about the issue to inquiries made by our customers. In the world that we work in, that is a miracle. Our server was configured to archive and sync all our critical data to an offsite storage system in a facility in another state. This would have been a proper and safe way to backup our data - had the data actually been saved in a readable format!!! We never had anything bad happen until a week ago, so we never really needed to restore from any of our backups. We just kept backing up and thought everything was dandy, until our server died right under our noses one fine morning and we needed to get back up and running STAT. So we quickly switched to our failsafe server, downloaded our latest backup archive from our out-of-state repository, and tried to unpack it and -- IT DIDN'T WORK!!!! The archive COULDN'T BE READ!!\r We phoned Secure Data Recovery Services and told them this was an EMERGENCY - we needed to recover either the unreadable archive, or the data from our failed server, whichever, b more

What happened next I remember very clearly, because when you're bleeding money by the second, you tend to remember these things. Within 20 minutes, a courier came to pick up the server and haul it back to their facilities. Half an hour later, they phoned us to tell us they found the issue with the server, that they would be able to recover the data very soon. It took an hour for the next phone call, which was a very painful wait at the time, but looking back now, that was remarkably short. They were finished! We got a new, identical drive back with the data on it, which they helped us install into our server on site for us. We were back in business, just two hours after the incident! Secure Data Recovery Services are great at what they do, very helpful, professional, and most importantly for us, very swift! And one more thing.... Do not place too much faith in backups, make sure they actually work before settling down. more

All 500+ photos recovered. Thank You So Much! 6/28/2011

I had 500+ important to me photos seemingly lost forever on a faulty compact flash card. My PC was requesting the card be formatted and my camera wasn't recognising it at all! \r \r Fortunately, I located Secure Data Recovery Services - Los Angeles branch located on Melrose Avenue and after their free quote and assessment of the problem, they were able to recover every single image on the card - for a more than reasonable fee. more

Very professional, very helpful. 6/24/2011

I have worked as an IT Support technician for over 10 years. I have often been able to recover data for clients. If the drive is able to spin up I can often get data off. But not this time! This drive just crashed with no warning, no slow writes and reads. Just bang and gone. Since the drive contained varieties of information in various states of backup, it was commercially important to try and recover it. The guys at Secure Data Recovery worked their magic and recovered as far as we can tell all 240 GB of files. Very professional, very helpful. more

Amazing work, You saved me so much work! 5/23/2011

In my case, I accidentally saved over a report I was writing. It was pretty long, about 30 pages or so, and it took months to write. I wished I had a backup somewhere, but no, that was the only copy I had, and I saved over it because of the stupid Vista dialog... you know, I typed in a new name, but I must have clicked on my report in the dialog or something, because next time I open my report, it ain't there!! My brother said I should go to a data recovery company - he said the report might still be floating around somewhere, it's not completely gone. Well, I didn't need telling twice - I googled for some data recovery companies near Los Angeles right away, and found California Data Recovery Services. I brought my laptop in and they did their magic, and BAM - there it was! They found portions of my report scattered on the drive, and they pulled them back together somehow. What a relief! They even found the images too! I did have to retype some pages from memory, those looked like they were gone. Amazing work, California Data Recovery Services! You saved me so much work! I guess it goes to show that data's never really gone, it's still there somewhere (or at least a part of it is), and a data recovery company can find it if you need it. Thanks again. more
