I am tired of trying to get a fair refund from this company for a faulty igniter they installed. I have the faulty part, log of my phone calls (each time I was promised they would talk to the owner and get back to me), and receipts. Frankly, it aggravates me to look at it and I am moving on… Not before hopefully helping someone avoid the mistake of using them.\r

Our real estate agent paid to have the igniter in our furnace replaced the week before we purchased a house. The price of the service was high compared to the company that ended up fixing the problem, which is another reason to use someone else. When the heater stopped working, they would only come out to inspect the furnace if we paid a service charge and ominously saying that “anything else that was wrong would be extra.” We had a home warranty so we decided to just use the home warranty and pay the $100 deductible (limiting our risk). A little frustrating, but fair enough so far… When the home warranty company came out, they found it was the igniter, we paid the deductible, and they replaced it. Each time I called Scardina to try and get a refund, to return the faulty igniter, or in some way get compensation for the faulty work I was given the run around with one excuse after another about why I should of done this or that and they can’t be responsible for this or that. Each time (after explaining the whole situation again, sometimes to the same guy) I was being completely fair in offering to send back the faulty igniter and have them pass on any refund they get from the manufacturer (or savings from getting a free replacement they could use for another job) to offset my deductible cost for a job that clearly falls under their warranty. \r

Each time, after the run around, I was told that they would have to talk the owner and they would be giving me a call back. Each time, I heard nothing. Like I said, I am ready to move on, but I do feel somewhat better having shared my experience for all of you.
Cons: Not responsive, Don't trust the ""Warranty""
