I forget our plumber's name, but he was very helpful and courteous. I don't know much about clogged toilets & showers, but he sure did! Our shower is draining faster than it ever has before!!! more

I asked Scardina to replace a garbage disposal in my renatl house in Hanover. They quoted me a price of $69 trip fee + $60/half hour + parts. The price seemed a bit high but I didn't have time to shop around so I agreed and asked them to do the work.\r \r They got to the house and called me with a new price saying that garbage disposals are a flat fee of $495. I argued saying they quoted me a different price structure before. I declined the work but they charged my credit card $129 anyways even though they did nothing. I found another plumber who did the work for $200 including parts.\r \r I am still fighting to get the $129 back. They lied to Discover saying ""[customer] was advised of all charges"". This is clearly not the case because I asked for a garbage disposal and was not quoted the price they charge for a garbage disposal.\r \r If you do decide to use Scardina, I recommend you get everything in writing or record the phone call prior to agreeing to any work. more

I called on July 6, 2011 with a leak in the ceiling and was told that I would be seen that day. The women from the office said that a plumber would be there shortly. I was at first told that it would be later in the afternoon and he was there shortly after 12 noon. With the second call I was told the price after I asked. I should have been told with the initial call. Billy was very efficient and took care of the problem very quickly. He answered all my questions and then talked to my husband on the phone when he called. I have used Scardine in the past and was always pleased with their work. Will use again if needed. more

I had a leak in the ceiling. Technician showed up as scheduled. Determined and explained the problem to me, gave me an estimate, and fixed the problem all in about an hour. The technician was courteous and cleaned up very well after the work was finished. Would use them again and highly recommend their services. more

For a major emergency (flooding basement) on a Sunday morning - Came very quickly. Kept in contact with me on his way over. Went out to get the parts at a local home improvement store for a temporary fix so that we could have water until he could return with the permanent parts tomorrow. Will def use this company again. more

They did the kitchen and bathroom remodels for our rental properties as well. Over the years they have performed numerous services, installations, repairs and replacements,all to our satisfaction. They are reliable, professional and courteous. Their techs are knowledgeable, friendly and leave a clean work area. Their prices are competitive; however, the quality of their work is second to none! more

I woke last week to water flowing from my front yard into the street. I have had previous work done by Scardina, so i contacted them. A manager responded immediatly and informed me that it was my water service and turned it off. He wrote me an estimate on the spot. After receiving a couple other estimates, i found Scardina's estimate to be reasonable. They replaced my service the next day with little disturbance and did a great job cleaning up. I would strongly recommend Scardina Plumbing. more

I recently had my water heater replaced. I had no hot water and contacted Scardina. They came out the very same day and installed a new water heater. Very pleased with the quick service and the professionalism of the technician! Prompt, professional and courteous and the price was very reasonable. I would without a doubt use Scardina in the future! more

We called about a problem and were not told that there was a $120 fee just for coming out to the house. Scardina should inform their customers who call that there is a minimum fee of 120 even if the technicain does nothing. more

I called and scheduled appointment for next day. He did not make it. But he came on another day. Technician name is David. Looks like he does not have much experience... he looked at the heating system, he made couple of trips to his car and my home and wasted lot of time (approximately 30 min). In hour he told he fixed the problem. He charged $200.00, which I never expected. After he left I checked my a/c unit and he did not finish the job properly and lot of A/C is leaking from the a/c pipes. I called next day to discuss this issue. Somebody (I believe owner) lift the phone and talked very rude and mean and asking for additional charges to fix this issue. I never recommend this company to anybody. I just wasted $200.00. Called at 8am because of a sewage issue, technician was supposed to come out mid morning. Showed up at 11:50am. Technician looked in at the toilet in the basement, where the pipe ran out from the house, had me point him to the clean out, dropped two small rocks in. told me to call the county, charged $60 labor and $60 service, they are located 3 miles from my house. they arrived at 11:50 and left at 12:00. Called to speak to a manger, was told that those are their rates and there's nothing that can be done. That's $12 a minute, his hourly rate (it took him 5 minutes to get out of the car) + the time lost coming here from seeing other jobs can't come close to the $120 fee, i honestly feel robbed and will never call them again. I am tired of trying to get a fair refund from this company for a faulty igniter they installed. I have the faulty part, log of my phone calls (each time I was promised they would talk to the owner and get back to me), and receipts. Frankly, it aggravates me to look at it and I am moving on… Not before hopefully helping someone avoid the mistake of using them.\r \r Our real estate agent paid to have the igniter in our furnace replaced the week before we purchased a house. The price of the service was high compared to the company that ended up fixing the problem, which is another reason to use someone else. When the heater stopped working, they would only come out to inspect the furnace if we paid a service charge and ominously saying that “anything else that was wrong would be extra.” We had a home warranty so we decided to just use the home warranty and pay the $100 deductible (limiting our risk). A little frustrating, but fair enough so far… When the home warranty company came out, they found it was the igniter, we paid the deductible, and they replaced it. Each time I called Scardina to try and get a refund, to return the faulty igniter, or in some way get compensation for the faulty work I was given the run around with one excuse after another about why I should of done this or that and they can’t be responsible for this or that. Each time (after explaining the whole situation again, sometimes to the same guy) I was being completely fair in offering to send back the faulty igniter and have them pass on any refund they get from the manufacturer (or savings from getting a free replacement they could use for another job) to offset my deductible cost for a job that clearly falls under their warranty. \r \r Each time, after the run around, I was told that they would have to talk the owner and they would be giving me a call back. I had to have an old non-functioning drain re-routed to the septic system under the house in a three foot crawl space with spiders. The guys worked all day until the work was done at what I believe a reasonable cost. Yesterday, at 6AM we heard water spraying under the sink in the kitchen. I shut off the water and called their answering service. I received a call-back within 20 minutes and the guys were in and out within two hours. Both times the workers were friendly and knowledgeable. Each time I was offered several options to remedy the problem. Although I really can't look forward to calling a plumber, I would not hesitate calling these folks again. Pros: Two times and satisfied. more

We recently had a water leak in the house, the cause was PB (Quest) pipe failure.\r Scardina gave a very competitive quote and did a professional job re piping the house while trying to minimize the damage to the walls.\r \r Another great job! this company is a MAJOR RIP OFF!! you tube is too good for the ppl who run and work at this company.. me and a few friends have used their services before and all they do is charge you two times as my friends company! look around for a good deal ppl..dont fall for this white trash scam! The video is lame and the actors are family members of the owner ive heard, cheap and bad service with a really high price...scardina home services is not worth your time!
