Maybe I just got real lucky, but let me tell you that my experience with the service guys at SM BMW were just absolutely awesome--no gimmicks, no frills, and no BS! Took my father's BMW in for service--for all sorts of reasons--and walked in was assisted by Reyes Silva, service adviser. He was just awesome--down to earth, and we explained to him (wrote a list) of the things we needed things to be checked. At the same time, we made it very clear that we weren't interested in any other external work to be done--and insisted that we would refuse to pay for any other services. He understood my request, and took my vehicle in for service. Because we had no ride, out of warranty, and unable to use their complementary vehicle loaner, they called a cab and offered to pay the tab, however, we refused, unable to accept that generous offer. When I picked up my vehicle, everything was in perfect condition. No flaws, no mistakes, and the actual charges were slightly lower than its estimate--always a positive thing! Overall, I felt that their service was much improved than ever before, and props to Reyes Silva--keep up the great work! more

I recently leased a car at Santa monica BMW. The entire process was easy, and I received great customer service from, Richard in Sales. I was able to leave my Audi there until the turn in appraisal was completed. Richard even offered to take care of that for me. more

i've brought my car in for maintenance twice in the past 12months already and i have to say their services are great (it's free too since my car is still under their warranty). i guess they're trying to improve their image/customer service so everyone seemed extra friendly and helpful - from their shuttle service to the receptionist. no complaints. more

I just bought a certified BMW from Mario Guglielmelli and it was the best experience I have ever had buying a car. He was sincere and very attentive to what I needed as my first car purchase. I was in and out of the dealership in less than two hours with a trade in. I highly recommend working with Mario and please tell him a happy buyer says hello! more

saw all of the negative reviews but, due to convenience, tried it anyway. In sales, Rick is as good as it gets. Knew his productt, knew his inventory, worked with me to get what iIwanted and so on. My wife and I probably returend on 6 ocassions, peppering him with quesitons and then, ultimately, discusising features and options. Intial offer on my lease was too high, but I had odne my research so we were able to get to the right price pretty quickly. Defintiely inlcude SM BMW in the mix. Ask for Rick. more

We bought an X3 here a few months ago.. the price was right, and the salesman was helpful and non-slimy. The loan guy tried to sell us an extended warranty, but I just said no. I can't speak for the service, but the sales process was relatively painless. I've dealt with New Century BMW, Long Beach BMW, and Nick Alexander BMW - New Century was good too, but Nick Alexander was by far the worst. more

The most pleasant experience I had since I own a BMW. My car was due to service so I took it to SMBMW and I was amazed by the courtesy and professionalism with which I was treated. My service advisor Matthias (call him the Austrian) took care of me and my car, that gave me the feeling I belong to his family. He explained to me in a manner so I could actually understand what was wrong with my BMW and what needs to be fixed. He was efficient and courteous in a way that made a miserable morning, into a pleasant experience. This guy is something else!!! When it comes to cars and understanding that you don't have the best time when you have to take your beamer to the garage. My car was finished right on time, as promised and clean. I got walked to the cashier by the “Austrian” and I felt really comfortable to be in the presence of this gentleman. This is a total different SMBMW as experienced in previous visits. If you ever have to go to a BMW dealership I can only recommend to visit SMBMW and make sure you ask for Matthias or the “Austrian” when you make your appointment. You will be amazed I can assure you. Just as I was leaving I remembered I want to pair my Bluetooth Mobil with my beamer, which is not always the easiest procedure, Matthias observed that I was somehow struggling so he came out to the sidewalk asked if I needed some assistance and did the whole procedure for me at no cost plus he explained to me how to do this so that I am now able to do it myself should I ever have to. As I offered him a tip he declined and said this is all part of the service and there is no need for that, a thank you is more than enough. Go there ask for Matthias and your day will be this little bit brighter. more

I am so suprised to read the negative reviews here as i just purchased a 2007 certified 328i and had a great experience. I first met Alferdo who showed us the car had myself, wife and son test drive it and he was kind, personable and not pushy. I than got in contact with Hans, the internet sales manager who was simply wonderful. we communicated via internet, he answered all my questions regarding the car and we negotiated a fair price. He also had me thoroughly inspect the carfax history report and explained what everything meant and the significance of each service entry. It was a delight dealing with Hans after talking to so many aggressive and often shady type guys at other locations. The car is a special gift for my son and he was very particular about the features he wanted and Hans came through. The car was cleaned up and my son noticed some minor touch ups needed but Hans had the excited kid take the car and promised to have his special detail tech man take care of the matters whenever my son wants to bring it in. I was also informed that a BMW loaner would be provided with this and future services. Bottom line...if you are looking for a BMW save yourself alot of time and trouble...go straight to Hans. I will later follow this up with another yelp review to let you all know how the F/U visit goes. more

I purchased a 2008 M roaster from the used department at Santa Monica BMW. The customer service at Santa Monica BMW was excellent. Mario from the used department returned all of my phone call and provided the necessary info required in a very timely fashion. I flew into LAX and he picked me up in his own personal vehicle. When i arrived at the dealership the vehicle was spotless with a full tank of gas. Mario had the service department install a wind deflector and arranged a company to come into the show room for three hours to apply a 3M clear bra. The quality of work from Gary in part on the install was perfect. Staff was friendly and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Mario and his crew at Santa Monica BMW (used). more

The completion time was quite amazing. I was feeling ill that day and my husband and I stopped by to look at one car, not buy a car that day. Alfredo Medina was so knowledgeable and able to convey info to us quickly that we actually stayed and bought the car. I apologized for being "bitchy," and Alfredo was kindly understanding. He completed the sale in record time for us, which was our request. Many thanks to the sales manager who expedited the sale. Immaculate. Alfredo had the car washed and added gas while my husband and I dealt with the paperwork. One minor detail is the the passenger floor mat was in the trunk and when put in place, the top end curled back. We may tack it down somehow. Second minor detail was that the LED lamp in the glove compartment was missing. We accept this since it is PO. Alfredo was very responsive to a missing radio manuel and located one immediately so that we could stop by and pick it up. Love the website. more

The entire staff at Santa Monica Certified Pre-Owned BMW was great with fair information, helpful staff, and knowledge personnel. Worked with me to ensure the proper paperwork was completed for my purchase in CA and shipment to NC. A great service all the way around! Had the car shipped and the entire staff at Santa Monica BMW pre-owned from the Manger, to Sales Associates were very helpful in making the process seamless and fit to my schedule.
