Hair Cut 9/8/2007

I needed a new stylist, and I was nervous. I found Salon Ambiance on the web. I read through the reviews, and booked an appointment with Robert. The Salon is beautiful. It has such a relaxing atmostphere. I told Robert what I wanted, and he said that the hair cut I wanted was good but could be better. So we looked through magazines, and chose a modified version of Victoria Beckham's Haircut. I have had so many compliments. I love City Search. more

Great Extensions 8/8/2007

I found Robert through City Search. I just have to say that I love my extensions. I've had other types, but I was losing too much hair. I've paid up to $2400 for extensions, and he charged me $1250. I love them, and these are the best I've ever had. T Pros: Beautiful relaxing salon more

Unbelievable 7/31/2007

I found Robert on the web. I read some of his other reviews from Salon Ambiance, and decided to call him. I have really fine hair. I wanted a little length but more body. His price for the hair and for placing it was only $1100.I was quoted up to $2400 at other salons. He uses the NXS hair, and I just love it. I went to a family reunion, and nobody (not even my mother) knew that I was wearing extensions. My mom even said how great my hair was looking. I am extremely happy. more

I was extremely pleased on how Erika took the time to listen to my concerns about my hair. I recently had my hair done & well it was a brassy mess. When she worked her magic I had the most beauty color, cut & style. I would highly recommend Erika to anyone of my friends. Pros: outstanding work more

I found Robert through City Search. The last hair dresser that I went to turned my hair a wierd ashy shade. I called Salon Ambiance, and asked the receptionist if she liked Robert's work. She said he's one one the best. She was was right. He told be that we'd be doing corrective color, and a more flattering hair cut. I trusted him just by the way he spoke. He also did a deep conditioning treatment on me. I just can't believe how great my hair looks and feels. He is the best. I wish I would have found him years ago. Got to love the internet. Robert, thank you, thank you, thank you. By the way the salon is beautiful, and relaxing. more

I LOVE MY EXTENSIONS!! 4/1/2007

I just got hair locs done by Jana at Salon Ambiance and I LOVE THEM!! I have had glued in extensions before but I hated what they did to my own hair. This method is so much better! Jana did a great job--i especially loved the way she cut the extensions so the blend in with my own hair. The colors match perfectly too! I finally have long beautiful hair--thanks Jana!!! Pros: flavored coffees and teas!! Cons: none! more

The best my hair has looked and felt in forever!!!!!! 3/28/2007

I started looking for a new stylist because i was bored with my hair. One of my friends told me to go see her stylist sam. She told me he was great, and everything proved to be true. I walk into the salon and it was gorgeous, and i was greeted with a smile by the receptionists. Then Sam took me to his chair and actually listened to what i wanted. It was a nice change. Then on top of that he came through a delivered with an amazing new style. As an added bonous Sam gives an amazing shampoo. I give Sam and the whole salon an A?. more

Robert Extensions 3/13/2007

I just had my extensions put in and I can't believe how different I feel. I just couldn't wait another 2 years for my hair to grow. I'm so glad I had Robert put them in. Nobody can tell where my hair ends and the extensions begin. Oh, and he color matched them to my hair. It's so perfect that I can't tell. more

Awesome Extensions 3/5/2007

I have shoulder length hair that's extremely fine. I had heard about Robert through my stylist. She said that she loved his extension work. I was wanting to make my hair look thicker and a little longer. I have seen others that had extensions that looked terrible. Well mine look great, and nobody can tell that I have extensions. My friends are saying "" Wow your hair grew fast"". I'm extremely happy. more

Paul is a genius with hair!! 3/1/2007

I went in knowing the ""feel"" I wanted, but unsure of the exact style and color that would suit me best. Paul was super nice and knowledgeable and spent time with me on a consultation. He was able to clearly see and define what would look best on me. We then set up an appointment, and when I came back, it was like magic. Toward the end of the work, others (stylists and patrons alike) in the salon were trying to catch glimpses and some said they couldn't wait to see the finished product. When Paul was finished cutting and layering beautiful colors into my hair, I caught many people gawking. I truly looked like a different person, which is what I wanted. I looked years younger and the new style and color really brought out my best facial features. I am a new woman, and a very beautiful one, if I many say so ;) Thank you sooooooo much, Paul. more

sexiest extensions in the OC 2/24/2007

I have had every method of hair extension there is: fusion, glue in, braided and sewn--you name it. I was really unhappy with all the damage the extensions did to my own hair. I love the way I look with extensions but I wanted a healthier method. Jana at Salon Ambiance saved my hair! I loved the before and after photos she showed me and I felt comfortable with her because she has a lot of experience with hair extensions. She did the hairlocs method of extensions and I love how natural they look and that there is no damage to my own hair because there is no glue, tension or harmful chemicals used to apply them. They are the most expensive extensions I have had but they are definitely worth it because the hair is top quality and they are safe and natural looking. I will never go back to the other methods and I will never trust anyone else with my hair. Go to Jana if you are considering Hair extensions--learn from my prior mistakes without making your own!!! Pros: Amazing extensions--safe and beautiful Cons: Pricey, but definitely worth it more

Great Haircut! 2/24/2007

Jana at Salon Ambiance is by far the best hairstylist I have every had. I am very picky about my haircuts but she does exactly what I want every time. She really listens. A lot of female stylists don't do a good job at men's haircuts but Jana assured me that since she has 5 brothers she is a pro at men's cuts. She also gives an amazing shampoo which is the best part in my opinion! I won't go to anyone else. Pros: Great haircut and awesome head massage more

Amazing Hairstylist at a beautiful salon! 2/24/2007

Jana has been doing my hair for the last three years--she is the best! She is now at Salon Ambiance and the name says it all. From the massaging shampoo chairs to the relaxing waterfall, this salon really has a beautiful energy to it. It's the girl behind the chair that makes it though. The first time I went to her I was nervous because trying a new stylist is always a gamble. She was really thorough with the consultation and I felt like she really understood what I wanted. My hair turned out EXACTLY like I wanted and she has kept my hair looking beautiful everytime since! She is very skilled at both cutting and coloring. I have never had hair extensions before but I have seen the before and after photos of the extensions she does and the are absolutely beautiful. They are the most natural looking hair extensions I have ever seen. Go to Salon Ambiance to see Jana for great hair! You will love her--she is a doll! Pros: Clean, Beautiful salon, good prices Cons: None! more

I'm new to the area. I asked a coworker of mine where she had her hair done. Her hair was so cute. She told me to go to Salon Ambiance to see Robert. I decided to Google his name to check and see if his name came up on the web for Huntington Beach. The City search reviews came up, So I decided to try him. He's not what I'd expected. He has long hair and looks like a Rock Star from the Eighty's. Not that that is a bad thing. We had a great time, and I love my hair. The Salon is beautiful, and I'm glad I found him. more

Tons of Talent! - Nancy 2/9/2007

I've been going to Nancy for six years now and there is nothing I can write in words to describe the talent that she possesses. I have long, naturally curly hair and am VERY picky about people cutting, coloring and styling it. Nancy was very kind and very patient when I went to her for my ""first time."" She listened to my concerns and explained many different styles that would be complementary to the shape of my face. Over the past six years, I've had many different cuts and colors (both full color and weaves) and have loved every one of them. Thank you Nancy for making me look and feel beautiful. more
