Saffron Salon and Day Spa

My first experience at Saffron was disappointing, but it ended up fine. The parking was great, the facility was beautiful, the staff was friendly, and I was excited to have a blowdry and manicure before my big Girls Night Out. I arrived exactly on time and waited 30 min for my appointment to start. After I had waited 30 extra minutes, Lucy, the woman who blew my hair dry took way longer than expected. I let someone know that it was my first time there and I had an important night planned, and that I needed to be out of there by a certain time. Not too long after I had said something, Judy, the owner accomodated for me in every way possible. My manicure, despite the rush, was great and Judy was able to help things move along in a timely manner so I could enjoy my night. She even comped my manicure because of the mishap. I really appreciate the gesture and how the situation was handled. Thank you! I have visited Saffron since that incident and have not had any other problems. I would definitely recommend having a message with Renee. I plan on having another massage there, but definitely NOT another blowdry! I had a wash and hair dry with Liz for a night out on the town with the ladies, she did a great job. She was pleasant. To much turn over I called back only to find out Liz is gone now this is the third person I liked at Saffron that has left. 07/06/07 I gave it one last try forget it. I decided to go in for my nails since it was convenient for me, the nail chair was fantastic and my toes looked great Deanne did a great job with my pedi. Keep up the good work she was so friendly and made me feel relaxed. The facial prices have gone up a bit too much for me for what I am getting. I had never been at a "spa" before when I first wandered into Saffron to get a hair cut and color. I was initially hesitant, expecting the prices to be high and surrounding a bit uncomfortable (I am the outdoors type). Wow was I wrong. I left both time laughing with a fun haircut that just put me in a good mood. The staff is great and takes the time to figure out a cut that will both look good and requires the amount of attention (or, in my case, inattention) that fits the customer's lifestyle. Try it out. I pass the Saffron Spa everyday and finally decided to give it a try after I read the online reviews. Wow! What a breath of fresh air and ray of sunshine!! I have good reason to be so ecstatic. I am not long and lean, but a somewhat pudgy (!!) mom of 5. However, when I am at Saffron I am treated like royalty and I leave feeling on top of the world. Lindsay cuts and colors my hair and she is the best I have been to anywhere. She listens to what you want and works with you. :-) My eyebrows were getting weepy. Since I have been having them done at Saffron they look healthy and well groomed. My bottom line would have to be that Saffron's prices are amazingly easy on the pocketbook, their staff is professional; artistic, and above all so very friendly, sweet and welcoming. I had the most relaxing massage!! Great pressure and flow I was so relaxed for days, Geraldine knows what she is doing when it comes to figuring out someone's body and their tension and how to help them relax. I have been going to Saffron for several months now for facials, my skin looks and feels fantastic the results have been more than I ever expected. Kelly has me doing peels now and my skin is just great!! I am always being told how great my skin looks and I tell them you need to go to Saffron and see Kelly the facials are so relaxing with great results and the G.M Collin product are the best. I am also getting my hair done now with Lindsay and she is great my hair color has never looked better and I just love the cut if you want a fantstic skilled hairdresser you need to see her!! I just called back to make an appt with Geraldine and found out she no longer works there, WHY?? She was the best massage I had at Saffron or anyplace that is why I was so excited to come!!! Deanne gave me the best mani and pedi, she is great so skilled it was so relaxing having her foot and leg massage, and I had the best hair color and hair dry done with Liz. Well you must have a massage with him to understand!! Brian is great!!! The best massage therapist in all of Mass. I go in for massages with him and leave so relaxed and tension free, he has such a great touch just enough pressure without bringing tears to your eyes and such a nice even flow. Facial prices have gone up too much for the service you get!! Saffron has a good location. Concord needed a full service salon that does it all from hair to nails, grood hair and nail services but a little on the pricey side now for skin treatments : ( Pros: Great location, good skilled hair dept. I have been to Saffron several times. I have had waxing done several times by the same person and of course, that is why I keep coming back. She is great and knowledgable about it, because she always has advice and answers for all of my questions! I have also had a couple of massages done, and wow!, I leave feeling like I got my money's worth. The staff is always bubbly and friendly, a great trade-off to a super hush-hush atmosphere. My massage had some noise due to the close proximity of other services going on, but I spoke with the owner, who will be installing new spaces in the building with quiet space. Plus I have heard other employees telling each other to hush, so they are defnitely working through the problem. I can definitely recommend Saffron as a super place from a man and consumer's perspective! more

I had the worst waxing ever! It was painful, the girl felt like she was tearing my skin off. I was red and irritated for days. I've had lots of waxing done at other places without any problems! I also had a facial and wished I didn't, it wasn't relaxing. She felt like she was pinching my face and caused red marks. I could have washed my face at home better. I didn't leave feeling or looking like I had a facial or waxing. My skin was irritated and still had hairs! She didn't seem experienced, but said she had worked there since they opened. The salon was noisy and not a good experience. My friend thought the same. After asking around, I've heard similar things. I got a good hair cut from Lucy she does great razor cuts!! My facial was nice but the girl I saw was a bit rough and it was a little noisy I was in a room near the waiting area the bed was comfortable and she massaged my hands and feet. You need to come see for yourself why they won best spa! Every time I come in I am treated like a queen, my skin has come a long way the estheticians are so skilled and the massages outstanding not to mention the great hair stylest`s everything is great without the high price tags of Boston. I usually go in Boston since I work there and have high standards but I live closer to Concord so I decided to try them for a wax you cant screw up with the leggs, I was so happy Kelly did the best leg wax I have ever had so quick and got every hair she even tweezed a few, so I decided to go back for a facial and brow let me tell you she should be in Boston it was the best facial I had ever had better than Canyon Ranch even. My skin looked and felt fantastic I was so pleased and relaxed not to mention her knowledge and skills much more than I expected outside Boston!! Deanne is so kind and friendy and gives me the best manicures and pedicures, she always offers me water or tea and is very flexible with her time she has come in early and stayed late for me they are a little on the noisy side if you are looking to relax but a good place for getting your nails done. Where do I start, Saffron is the best I started going because a friend referred me to get my hair done, now I go to Saffron for all my needs the prices are cheap and the entire spa is so relaxing. I have facials and massage about every 4 weeks or so and my hair cuts and highlights come out great, to the point where I get so many compliments and the pedicure chair is unbelievable. I am greeted the moment I walk in and treated like a queen every visit!! I even do acupuncture now to help with my arthritis in my leg. I was not going to write this review in fear that it would make it harder to get an appointment with Renee than it already is. I have been coming in for massage with Renee on a regular basis for a few months now, and it has made such an amazing difference in the quality of daily life, that I couldnt not write a review. I have suffered from lower back pain for most of my adult life, and for the first time, I have found some sort of relief. Her massages offer immediate and extended break from this chronic pain, are perfect in pressure, and are not ever at all painful. She is great as well with helpful suggestions about things I can do at home to offer some sort of relief such as stretches etc. I would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone. I went in because it was convenient and they carry the best skin and hair products. so sad my hair and nail girl are gone I was away at school and came home and they were gone. Tried someone new but not even half as good! Pros: great skin and hair products Cons: A little noisy,got very pricey more
