Sarah D is awesome with men's cuts 12/30/2011

I have the dubious distinction of being one of the rare men who don't get their haircut at Rumors IV men. I gladly brave the estrogen laden air of the "Woman's" side of Rt9 for the sole reason that Sarah D'Alberto gives a GREAT haircut. If she's not there on my days off work I'll just let my hair go shaggy until I can get an appointment. It's funny how when you finally find someone who can cut your hair just as you like it. It's just not the same when someone else cuts it. I'm willing to pay the few extra bucks to get a guaranteed great cut each and every time. more

Good Experience 12/26/2011

I had my hair done by Stacey. She took her time and my highlights and hair cut are wonderful. The rest of the staff was friendly with the exceptionh of the older woman behind the check in desk. She never smiled and was somewhat unpleasant and abrupt. I would have given the salon a 5 star rating otherwise. more

My experience as always was very pleasant as well as getting a great trim and style. Jeanna, is friendly, helpful, and makes the experience lovely. Maggie is wonderful. She consitently provides me with a great cut and hairstyle. Once again, she showed me another way to style my hair. I enjoyed the experieince. more

I loved the end product. Both stylists who worked on my hair did exactly what I asked, were professional and pleasant. What I don't understand is how they determine how much it all costs. Every time I go their for exactly the same treatment and by the same people the price is different. In addition, the actual receipts vary, some times they're itemized and other times you only get the bottom line. These are NYC prices I would hope and expect more. The front desk needs to be re worked for me to give the full 5 star rating I would like to give. A price list on your web site would help. Thanks for this opportunity. more

Easy to get an appointment 12/13/2011

It was extremely easy to get an appointment at this salon (same day, a few hours after I called). I did have about a 20 minute wait after my scheduled appt time, but I didn't mind. They were very good at asking me questions regarding my hair routine. more

It's the second time I've seen ruthie for color and have to give her much credit. She is amazing! the huge draw back is all the added charges- partial highlights end up being 200 plus due to the added hair toner and the color shield and things that weren't mentioned in the first place. Thank god I had 20% off the service! more

Good front staff but please add lint rollers and push products less 12/12/2011

This visit was a better experience than ones I have had in the past. The defining difference is how quickly I was greeted and how warm and friendly the front staff was. Great job to the ladies working up there! Also I like that the same person washed, cut and blew out my hair. I really dislike being shuffled from one person to the next. I also like my hair cut very much. Crystal did a good job. Some things that could be improved on... Crystal pushed products really hard from the beginning of the appointment instead of getting to know me. I wasn't in the market for new products. I haven't finished the ones ruthie sold me 6 months ago when I saw her at rumors. Also I left with hair all over my backside and didn't notice until my boyfriend pointed it out. I recommend you have lint rollers and encourage the stylists to use them. But good experience over all. Thank you! more

I've tried a number of different salons in the area and haven't found anyone as attentive and helpful as Jamie is time after time. You'll love Rumors! more
