So dissapointed. I made the appointment after I'd recieved a complimentary haircut email. I did not know I had to print that email out, and the woman at the checkout was incredibly rude and then made me pay. (though she aclnowledged she knew how I'd come to make this appointement). NOT a way to win customer loyalty. more

Friendly, nice looking employees, not too sharp at troubleshooting the business related issues. As far as services, it totally depends on who you get. Prices go up as the hairdresser progresses with training/longevity. Usually very crowded and loud, so if you want to relax, this is not the place for you. more

Excellent Haircuts 4/11/2011

My daughter and I came in for cuts and saw Stacy. She did a lovely job. My little girl loves her new style and Stacy made sure I was happy with my cut before letting me out of the chair. Rumors is top notch. No better salon in the Capital Region!! more

Disappointed with check-out service on multiple occasions. 4/8/2011

Hair stylists are very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. The cashiers/receptionists need some work. Many of them aren't good with effective communication. They need to be sensitive to customers and be aware of their non-verbals/body language. My last visit has resulted in my decision not to return, though I love my stylist. more

Love Rumors 4/4/2011

If you want to treat yourself go to Rumors. They do a fantastic job and make you feel right at home. Little touches like taking your coat when you arrive and getting you something to drink make you feel VIP. I go to Maurine and she is simply the best. She has lots of experience and knows what she's doing. more

your stylists are great however on multiple instances i have incurred impolite if not rude receptionists, specifically jamie. forgets to save appointments, often will not allow you to book multiple services together, and is not friendly when you arrive for appointments more

rushed and crowded 3/21/2011

The salon was overcrowded, and I was moved from place to place. Additionally, I had hair dye all around my forehead and even on my face. The assistant that washed my hair dropped me off at a chair, and as an afterthought came back and quickly combed my hair while I waited for the stylist. I was horrified when I finally sat in front of a mirror and saw the dye from my ear to my cheek. more

I always schedule my visits to Rumors with Melanie, as I feel she is a talented professional and takes time with me to discuss issues re. style, cut, color. I also need to take advantage of the promotions offered by your salon, and appreciate that these are offered. Thank you. more
