Worst Clinic in Town 4/8/2014

This is the worst clinic in town. I liked my doctor, but the office staff is very rude and demeaning. The wait is ridiculous as well, even with an appointment one can expect to wait 1-3 hours. The person to refill meds NEVER calls back and neither does the person who has any results from tests and such. If one doesn't have a doctor in this clinic then they get to see a nurse practioner instead. One time they complained about my children being noisy, what do they expect if young children have to sit and wait for hours.....definitely NOT recommended, I left after 15 years because I couldn't take the abuse any longer.\r I did go back...but now I'm gone for good and once again it was the office staff. They lured my husband into the office stating that a doctor needed to see him for refills, when he got there they wanted to take about a bill, my husband refused to talk to them about the bill at that time, so they told him he couldn't see the doctor. Then we received notices that we had been dismissed from the office. I asked my doctor who knew nothing about this and the supervisor for the office staff lied to me by stating that the it was in fact ""my"" doctor who had ordered this. They are unethical and they committed insurance fraud as well. They will receive notice from the Florida Board of Healthcare and from our insurance as well......\r more

Best place in town. 5/30/2012

I've been a patient at ROMC for over 10 years and while sometimes the wait can be long, I recommend them anyday over Parrish Emergency room. While even apointments may wait an hour to be seen, they do take walk-ins. I usually call and get an estimated wait time. If the estimate is long, call their Port St John office (15 minutes away) and compare wait times. Among all of the Titusville practicioners that I have seen, Doctors Kinsella, Flaherty and Van Eaton have the best patient repoir and manner than any. more

Incompetant- Never go here! Disorganized 5/2/2012

I would give negative stars if I could. I scheduled an appointment to have a medical service done. Once I got there, the nurse practitioner yelled at me saying they do not do that. I said your staff said you do when I made an appointment. her response ""they are not Drs"". I thought is that is the best you can do. I needed sutures to be taken out from a procedure done out of state. The dumb nurse practitioner wanted me to drive 8 hours to have my sutures taken out. She declined service and later that day I had my 74 yo mom take them out no problem. the old lady (NP) with glasses was beligerant and incompetant. Run away!!! more

Royal oak medical center, Titusville 4/22/2012

This is a WALK_IN so of course you will have to wait your turn but the doctors are excellent and the staff are good as well. These people who seem to expect to be attended to in no time flat need to get real. The doctors will give you full attention and are very good!! more

I don't go very often but....... 2/9/2012

the office staff has always been very kind and they have great hours! It's a lot better than waiting in an emergency room. I like Dr. Torres and Dr. Kinsella but Dr. Flaherty was very rude to me. Not everybody is going to click. Be realistic. more

Better Than 5/25/2011

Seriously people........what are your options? I've had nothing but impeccable care by the attending physicians HOWEVER I do agree their office staff is quite rude and in my opinion not trained very well. The DRG should place more emphasis on quality care and not quantity care (it was obvious that stacking appointments is the norm there). Yes there is room for improvement BUT I'll take Royal Oak over Parrish any day hands down. more

Avoid at all costs-literally! 3/29/2011

Run away! I took my son here 2 yrs ago in 2008, for a sore throat and they over-charged me about 200.00. In Nov 2010 I get this bill in the mail. The billing people are rude, rude, rude. After I paid my bill fully, it took 2 payments, they cashed my check 2/23/11, and in March 2011, sent me to a collection agency. Mediocre care provided, but were not compassionate. Many other places locally are better. Will NEVER BE BACK. more

They give out Flu shots, but when you have a reaction and try to call for information, they don't have the time for oyu.\r Would be nice if they gave the impression that they at least are concerned. more

Great Care from Caring Physicians 8/25/2010

I have been going to this practice for many years, starting with a broken ankle when I didn't have enough money to pay an ER bill, and they helped me. Dr. Flaherty has treated me kindly for years and I truly believe he loses money every time I walk in the door, because I have multiple serious medical issues and none of them make for particularly quick discussions. It's true that walk-in wait times are long, as are wait times when I have an appointment, but I am truly appreciative that there is a place where you can walk in and be treated with dignity when you don't have insurance. The staff here has always responded promptly to my phone calls and done their best to go through the hurdles to help me get what I need, whether it's a test, a procedure, referral to a specialist, or help with a prescription. If it wasn't for Dr. Flaherty I know my quality of life would be a lot less than it is right now. I do suggest if you go to this practice to choose a physician and keep requesting that physician so that you have continuity of care. I've seen three different physicians in this practice at various times, and dealt with a fourth over the phone in an urgent situation, and they were all wonderful. But I think that in general, quality of care is better if you have a regular provider for primary care. This practice does a lot of good in a community where specialty care is all but denied to those who lack insurance and money. My experience is, they stick their necks out for their patients. I have recommended them often and continue to do so. more

No refills 10/15/2009

I have been going there for years, simply to get my refills for my High Blood pressure. All of a sudden, even with records, they are insisting on a Physical. So, I got the Physical. The Doctor did not even do a complete physical. It was no more than what a doctor does to everyone that comes in for the normal stuff. I think she was uncomfortable, as she kept doing a nervous laugh after everything she said. I don't know where they get there doctors from.... Pros: Not really any Cons: Too many to list more

Would not reccommend this place to my worst enemy!!! 9/30/2009

The ONLY thing good about any Royal Oaks Medical Center is that they are a predominantly walk-in type clinic with late hours, therefore they serve as a good alternative to the ER in terms of saving money. However, if you are looking to save yourself a long ER-type wait time, don't bother going here. Time spent in the waiting room alone can often exceed one hour and you'll spend just as long, if not longer waiting to be seen by the doctor once you do get to the back, even though you often will never see one but will rather be seen by a nurse practitioner. And even though you never see your doctor, you will be billed as though you did and some how your prescriptions will bear one's name as the issues. \r \r And speaking of prescriptions, if you don't plan for your condition to miraculously cure itself in less than a week- DON'T GO HERE. They are the 'Nazi's' of prescription refills. And should they some how have a heart for a mili-second and decide to refill your script, don't think for a second that they will do so without first treating you like a heroine abuser. \r \r They NEVER return phone calls. All referral and prescription calls are diverted to a voicemail but you will never hear back unless you call almost daily. Should your request for a refill be denied, you will not be notified. If they have to refer you to a specialist they will not call you. Rather, they will send you an appointment card in the mail. (An appointment card which will more than likely get to you AFTER your appointment date- I know. This has happened to me TWICE.) \r \r As if these things alone aren't bad enough, they way that the doctor's and practitioner's 'treat' you is outright disgusting!! After waiting two plus hours, someone will walk in, robotically say hello and ask what your symptoms are, and then issue a whole rash of meds. (Remember, those meds that they won't refill when you run out bc you're not better because the doctor's don't really care at all about making you feel better...) \r \r So, PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST!! Its not worth your time, your money, and the insult you will incur by being treated so shiteously. Pros: Open until 8 p.m.- Good alternative to the E.R. after hours. Cons: Very poor service. Long wait times. Incompassionate doctors. more

A nice trip to the emergency room is better than the service you will get here. 3/4/2008

This office (regardless of branch) has wait times of 2-5 hours typically. You do not have a specific doctor, as they rotate among several brances. About half of the doctors are ok, the others do not listen to patients at all. Face time with your doctor is approx. 10 minutes total. They do have good hours, you can get in (to the waiting room) until 8PM, and on weekends as well. The worst aspect of the care is prescription refills. Request your refills 2-3 weeks in advance, and start calling the office daily in order to get your meds. No one, I repeat, no one ever returns phone calls. If it weren't for the higher copay cost, it would be faster to just go to the emergency room. Good luck. Pros: long hours of operation Cons: poor service and care more
